@fwinns..I helped just so you know.I gave @peaches my professional advice, even contacted a colleague who resides in benin to help her with the issue.I spent my money on calls, did legal research and told her the way forward after much delibration.I wasn't just giving her online morale.Am I the person who would go and institute the case? When I wasn't retained as her lawyer nor a party to the contract.I did all I could to steer her in the right direction. At a point I felt I was pushing too hard, that's when I decided to let her make up her mind on what she wants. Its not everything I can say here, but please if you don't have anything to say, waka pass!!Don't you ever insinuate I didn't do anything to help her.Even an illiterate knows how these things go.@peaches has to be the one to take the legal steps required.Have you ever seen a lawyer being named as the complainant on behalf of a client? Was I the person who carried out the transaction? So how can I really help when I don't know @peaches intentions? There's something called privity of contract in law.It simply means a third party cannot enforce a contract he wasn't originally a party to.Even her family members are not empowered by law to do anything on her behalf since she is an adult, let alone nairalanders;she has to be personally involved in any step taken. You can't cry more than the bereaved you know.Go figure that out! |
Lol..wake up please,Lumia 520 in this era?You can get better andriod phones for that amount. |
This is very similar to gionee m3 mini. The only thing this has on gionee is the ram/rom size and camera pixels. The gionee is way cheaper @16500 and has 4000mah battery, lollipop 5.1,1 gb/8gb ram and rom. |
I am currently reading a book by claudia carroll titled "remind me again why I need a man".It is books like this that make me the more addicted to chicklit novels. It makes a very funny read but yet full of thought provoking themes on what a single woman faces in every area of her life.I am halfway through it and can authoritatively say that the author is one hell of a writer. You can download it here if you are into chicklits. http://bookos-z1.org/s/?q=remind+me+again+why+I+need+a+man&e=1&t=0 |
Lolaabokoku:- am deeply pained that jennylov may afterall be getting away with what she did.Well,I really don't know what else to think from all I am percieving.I have been having sleepless nights because of the injustice being done here, all what could have been nipped in the bud early on if @peachafrique had acted fast.I hope jennylov is dealt with and the money recovered. Its sad that nobody can be trusted where money is concerned.I appreciate how nairalanders fought relentlessly on this issue to push the hardened criminal to pay back the money. All that's left is to pray that jennylov does not get away with all she has done.I am done talking about this issue because there's nothing left to be said. |
Ryanxu:thanks, what abt the glo bis issue?I am thinking of getting one soon. |
Una still dey buy bale of okrika online abi?Nobody should complain of being scammed o. |
Please can someone post a picture of what the box contains.ie earpiece, charger and probably pouch. Also can d imei be changed via mobileuncle tools to use glo bis? |
Please,I have been getting a lot pm's from nairalanders who have commented on this thread. They are concerned as to what is being done to recover the 115k.All I can say is that,I have advised @peaches exhaustively on the steps to take. However, she is actually the only person who can answer questions on the progress made or steps taken so far.All enquiries should be directed to her because I am not officially handling the case as many wrongly presumed. |

I strongly believe that women are also to blame because its what you consent to,that becomes the norm in your relationship.Where a woman has the mindset that she was "born just to make a man happy",she might as well have handed him chains to bind her to eternal slavery.I tell my clients to teach their female kids to have a healthy self esteem,to have a life outside being just a "wife and mother".Most victims of domestic 'slavery' and abuse start out by being too desperate to snag a man. They put up with anything no matter how abusive or demeaning just to be and also stay a MRS.If a man won't help out in chores,do thoughtful things around the house to make life a little easier for his wife, then it has been the pattern of their relationship from the get go.She simply let him treat her that way,and then he becomes worse knowing that she will let him get away with just about anything! believe in telling a man what is expected of him as a husband in all aspects because many men just have no clue whatsoever. |
This is very old fashioned sha,I expect men nowadays to have learnt from their fathers, and treat the wife like the helpmeet that she is.Rather most just assume the position of 'commander in chief of the home forces',and turn her into a doormat. |
Nice post..I can relate to it based on say I be full blooded waffi babe.On the streets of warri, you learn that there's dignity in labour.@op couldn't have said it better.I pray against the spirit of entitlement in the lives of youths.Life na OYO. |
@kkkossy,I am putting my money on either connor or nate as the person who shot annalise. But the DA's own is just beyond me.Besides what was annalise doing in that house? My guess is that the mystery as to what really happened won't be unravelled in episode 3. |
This tv series is just the bomb.My favourite character is of course Annalise keating. That woman is damn strong and smart.I love how she thinks fast .The fact that she's bisexual is not shocking to me because I have always known she had a freaky side.Their way of using illegally obtained evidence to win cases is not cool though. This show is not for the faint hearted, the suspense is off the hook.Season 2 returned with a bang.I wonder why annalise took the case of "the rich stupid kids".I desperately pray annalise keating doesn't die?The show would be so boring without her.Seriously who would want her dead? The scene at the end of s.2 ep 2 where the keating 5 were convincing connor to leave the crime scene with analise dying didn't help to answer lurking questions.Did he shoot annalise? So many questions unanswered.A lot of cliffhangers after season 2 episode 1 and 2.Honestly,this show has the suspense factor locked down.I can't even predict what would happen next.Fans of HTGAWM,please share your thoughts on new episodes and characters. |
Me I don't know what else to say on this issue...all I know is that the 'knife and yam' is in peaches hands. She alone can take the needed steps to get that money back. The poster is a good idea but will still be laughed at by jennylov the scammer. Why?because its not a warrant for arrest, neither will it get @peaches her 115k back. |
tivta:Na dem sabi.I have fulfilled my duty to humanity. The 5k he asked for was what even annoyed me the most. |
toksroyal:bros...find another business.Everyone, get free books (popular bestselling books by renowned authors) in any format at www.bookos-z1.org 20 novels for 5000 naira indeed! When I have a library of close to a thousand books I got for free? |
Please can someone help us here with a full review and unboxing of the tablet.Thinking of getting one next week for reading and games. |
vizkiz:lol,you wicked o. |
Kachisbarbie:I agree with you dear, but @peaches is taking some steps to get her money back and deal with jennylov appropriately. It won't be wise to divulge them online. |
@colossus and kevingraphics, abeg let's focus on the issue at hand.Ignore the kid please. That's how you handle them! |
tivta:lol.thanks for the compliment.I have also encountered very smart and intelligent women here, especially in family section. |
@agarawu,na so we see nairaland now o.As it stands,I cannot even buy data of 1k online for fear of being scammed. |
The proverbial 'knife and yam' are now in peaches hands. If she wants to let jennylov con her out of 115k,that's solely her decision. Nairalanders have tried their best by way of advice and all.Its time for her to take bold steps in this issue. No one else can file the complaint to the police or EFCC on her behalf, because we were not directly involved in the business transaction.I have said more than enough to her both online and offline. Its her call from here on.It would be a shame to know that jennylov got away with all she did sha. |
@darkenedrebel you are obviously not worth my time right now.Just rant on like the lunatic that you are.I don't bandy words with immature kids online. |
Everyone was here when we all appealed to jennyov. She is taking advantage of the fact that peaches is a calm person.I have interacted with her offline and frankly, she doesn't have energy for wahala.Jennylov and her husband got what was coming to them.A good man will not sit back and let the wife hold on to someone's money for months. So,if it means dragging them both in the mud to get the money, they deserve it! |
darkenedrebel:And who are you again?...So you bought pocket lawyer from those bus book hawkers and come here, open that gutter you call a mouth to talk about character assasination? You really have got some nerve bro.Come to think of it,maybe you would like to be an accomplice to jennylov's crime. And just so you know, you were right about one thing.Only law enforcement agents (which by the way I am,being a barrister and solicitor of the supreme court of Nigeria) can declare a person a scammer.Well,I am a lawyer and by the power vested in me,just declared jennylov a scammer! Her pictures will soon be everywhere online till she pays up.Now..you can come back here to tell me about law enforcement and character assasination in 6 years time after you are done becoming a lawyer. Its only by then you would have earned that right to join issues with me.You are nothing but a joke you know.A sick one at that!Run along now boy...adults are trying to have a mature conversation here.Damn, nairaland needs a play section for kids like you.Dimwit! |

olu4life:bros,just leave d guy,e clear say e just dey wake from sleep.Because if we pour our already aggravated anger on am,e fit deactivate him account. |
darkenedrebel:Please, what cave did this one out crawl from?Abeg go back to page 1 and read before you comment. You clearly don't know what's happening here.Or else you would have kept that hole you call a mouth shut! |
