This lady sef na wa..Since she started dating her husband up till now,its one story to another.I wonder why she cannot learn from toke makinwa. The less the world knows about your marriage, the better for you!Smart actresses like stephanie Linus, dakore akande chioma chukwuka and even mercy johnson have mastered the art of keeping their marital life out of the social media. She needs to take a chill pill.Besides I have not seen the husband professing love and joy everywhere since this whole ish started. Its beginning to seem like he did her the world's biggest favour by getting married to her.HML to her though... |
Is this thread still alive?I thought we all agreed to wait till september ending.Anyways,my work is done here....In other news, ladies can head on to my makeup lounge thread for a fresh post. |
Hello lovelies...its been a while. Now,have you ever been in a "brow gone wrong" situation? If you haven't been in one,you are definitely blessed among women!Ok,if you are wondering what am talking about, let me speak in plain english...lol.Have you ever had a makeup artist or stylist shave off your brows in a scary way.Yea..I have been there and am still recovering. Its amazing how we all think an "expert" can just look at you and tweeze/ shave your brows;and it wil turn out perfect! The good news is you can shapen your brows yourself and fill it in like a pro by following these simple steps: 1.Find your true eyebrow arch. That is the surest way to get perfect looking brows that suits your facial structure. 2.Once the arch has been located using a pencil, mark the three points ie starting, arch and end of brows with a white pencil for visibility and guidance. 3.The next thing is to use the white pencil to outline the brow shape, like you would normally use a brown pencil to.You do this for the up and down parts in the desired shape you want. This is the holy grail of shaping your brows.Once you have outlined it with a white pencil,it guides you in shaving or tweezing the hairs outside the white line brows with a razor or tweezer. TIP:You can get an eyebrow stencil kit to draw out the shape of your brows perfectly. Also never take off hairs from the touch. You can remove light hairs just to give it a clean look. Its also important to brush the hairs upwards to trim off the longer brow hairs. Also, use a light hand in taking out hairs outside the white outline. This is to ensure you don't end up with pencil thin brows. For those whose brows have been 'murdered' by makeup artists or salons..There is still hope.Just grow your brows for a month or two and shapen it using the above tips.Am sure you can't go wrong! Well..that's basically it!Amazing right?Ever since I discovered the white pencil trick,I no longer have to 'hope and pray' for perfectly shaped brows. All the steps are illustrated below in pictorials.

Jennylov:you are funny walahi! If you were not re-tarded you should know that the apology is for peaches, the innocent lady you are owing. Its not rocket science na!You are busy flapping your mouth that you are not afraid of anybody.Let me be the one to break it to you that what you did is a criminal offence.Get a laywer to enlighten you on the elements of advance fee fraud and obtaining by false pretences. |
colossus2:May God bless you for your efforts. That's the best approach to this issue..She needs a firm push if not she won't pay.I understand her person totally@jennylov u need a serious overhaul of your bad attitude. No apology or remorse! The fact you are a businesswoman shouldn't make you cold and unfeeling. You are mentioning God up and down.Have you put yourself in peaches shoes..If a supplier of yours holds on to your cash for months, your business no go fold up?Use your brain for once and reflect on what I have said. |
naijaboiy:I have given her my legal advice o..she should act fast on it.d jennylov needs some nights in a mosquito infested cell reeking of stale piss to calm her down.Na strong thing many people want! |
The thread is now 3 pages and @jennylov hasn't said anything important as far as I am concerned.madam, when are u paying @peaches her money?@peaches pm me let me tell you what to do to get your money back..But @jennylov,be rest assured that d way you are carrying on,you will cough out more than d 115k eventually. |
Jennylov:madam, you have been rude to her.Maybe you should read all your comments on this issue. And yes, though I am not God I have every right to judge you being a lawyer. You are saying you are not a scammer, but the circumstances are saying otherwise.Someone contacted you for a business deal, paid you since december 2014.Today is the 25th of august,no goods,no money! She tried contacting you but all efforts were thwarted. You even blocked her.I have not heard from you two personally but its wise to ask you this;why didn't you call her to explain everything you are passing through calmly to her.Even after that 120k is a lot of money in this economy. It was only natural for her to come on nairaland and call you a scammer. That was the only way she could get your attention and it worked! Please I don't know @peaches from adam but I have a conscience.I have been imagining 'what if thbis happened to me'?There is something called lapse of time..its been 8 months so she has every right to a refund of her money. You telling her to wait till you sell her bale is not right at all.You defaulted by not delivering her goods at the stipulated time. That has voided whatever agreement you had with her.So we are all here telling you to give her her money back..You are a business person.I know you can afford to give her what you owe her even before month end.Don't create a bad image for yourself and your business. The poor lady has tried sef..She needs an award for patience. This life goes beyond the physical.Don't invoke curses on yourself. Why allowing @peaches to cry out to God everyday on this issue.I have seen a man who secretly moved out of a rented apartment at night to avoid paying his outstanding rent of 5 months. As we speak the man's legs are rotting away.Churches he went to said he should go and beg for the landlord's forgiveness. The landlord now is no more in nigeria, was taken abroad by his daughter for holiday.Even when they called him he said he didn't do anything. So,you don't know who anybody is,or what they are capable of.You shouldn't take advantage of the fact that if you choose not to pay her,she can't locate you. There's more to life than being a cause of someone's worry and tears.I have said my piece! |
@ annawhite,my annoyance is that jennylov has no good manner of approach..Go and read her comments to the lady!If I was planning to do business with her before, after reading how she replied to everything;I will look elsewhere. No matter wht happened,a customer is always right!otherwise if you insult them over issues like this very soon you will relocate to the village.People do business based on trust and good attitude of the seller.Since you are also a business person, advice her to watch how she handles issues. The lady has enough reasons to be mad.Thank God say no be me sha.I would have gotten a court order to get the details of her account opening to have access to her address to pick her up.Otherwise petition EFCC on account of fraud! From december to now is a very long time to hold on to someone's money and still have the guts to insult her..She dey even dey rake make the lady go cnn.Well, justice is not for the poor.Thank God I know what to do in times like this. |
annawhite:madam, the fact that she is still on nairaland doing business doesn't make her innocent.Nairaland is a faceless forum, with no concrete means of identifying any member. Its not like a bank account where you are asked for a recentutility bill reciept, national I'd card, international passport or other valid means of identification before you can open an account. So even if she doesn't want to settle the lady, she can remain on nairaland till jesus comes and nothing wil happen..The only thing would be loss of her customers!Asides the fact that the lady attached her photo to the proof of payment, what else does she have on @jennylov.Bottomline,she holds all the aces. @peachafrique,you have learnt your lesson I guess.Just be praying fervently, for God to touch her so she can either send u your goods or. Make a refund. If not, there's no way you can trace her o..That's why she can call you daft! |
blessedfavoured:Noone is saying she is a scammer.but her attitude about this whole issue leaves one to think that she is.Anyone can swindle you on nairaland and still be online. Now how can you get the persons's real identity? Its not like we use national I'd or voters card to open nairaland account! |
I hate supporting nonsense..@ annawhite,if na your 100k plus dey with person for more than 8 months now,I doubt if u would be this calm..the jennylov herself doesn't know how to talk at all.If you explain to your customer calmly,I doubt if this issue would have gotten to nairaland.a big lesson learnt o..NEVER to pay for anything online. When I see it,I can drop my cash.See how she's talking sef..with no remorse at all.Anyone thet puts herself in the shoes of the lady here would know that she has tried. If this business was done offline and the poster knows her house, the best bet would have been arresting her.Nigerians like strong thing! |
Na wa o..after men would say girls are not willing to stick with one man.Why won't babes have backup guys, when the men are busy turning good woman to bad daily. |
I downloaded them free from www.bookos-z1.org Meanwhile, sorry for going incommunicado. Will be dropping a coveted makeup trick /tip tomorrow...come in and learn one or two things. |
emekaxy:thank you my brother..am not really a professional make up artist..Am just good at it.Also I don't live in ph..Thanks for the offer tho.God bless. |
Osisie:Thank u eh..when u are done with school, and no longer receiving a dime from your family, you would be in a better position to advice me..except you are already independent. |
SmartMugu:I observed it too..maybe most of them can't believe a lady is lamenting about getting a job.Wheras others just want to get married and lean on their husband for everything. To each his own.I am more focused on making sth of my life before I even think M..let alone marriage. |
aribs:its sickening o..God will help us.Only a lawyer wil fully understand what new wigs go through.I have a male friend who was in the same law school campus with me.After our call to bar,he set up his own fish farming company in delta and is doing ok.Then I thought he was making a mistake since he is extremely good in advocacy. But now,I totally see why he dumped his wig and gown. |
GogobiriLalas:my dear,I wil attach myself to a small firm for 2 years and learn.I really want to practice, but d reality on ground is scary. |
Anaskie:you will live long..this is what many people don't know. Thanks for pointing it out intelligently. |
Jeneral4:please send me your statement of account..let me see the money you have made that is giving you the temerity to spew crap.I no blame you!olodo,na onadeko call you to bar?abi na body of benchers?if you don't have anything smart to say, shut the hell up!let me not pour my pent up anger on you. |
Jeneral4:please send me your statement of account..let me see the money you have made that is giving you the temerity to spew crap.I no blame you!olodo,na omadeko call you to bar?abi na body of benchers?mumu! |
dam007:thanks a lot dear..I know nairaland has a lot of immature and myopic minded people.so,it doesn't bother me.I just created this post to pour out my mind..I don't even enjoy telling people how I feel, cos they will just end up making me feel worse than I already do.I am praying and I know God will see me through. |
aribs:thanks a lot..at least someone underdtands what I am going thru.many are here screaming mindset up and down. When you spend over a million naira in law school, and close to 200k for call to bar expenses;only for most firms to be payin10-15k,u will understand fully that it goes beyond mindset. The seniors are not helping. My friend works with an AG,d man makes millions yet cannot even pay the guy 5k.his reason being that the govt pays him 19800.Wheras my friend works like a horse to keep the firm running. |
josite:please make your findings.there are firms that even pay 5000 naira.other lawyers in the house can testify. In warri, the highest paying firm is t.j okpoko and the salary is 40000. |
nunzk:ok..thanks |
Gboliwe:thanks a lot..u are wise beyond your years..I will take up a job with the firm that will pay 10k by january if I don't get anything better.God dey! |
kilode100:lol..I have sent him my cv o..He said he will contact me when there's opening. He is my friend on facebook.if na oko ashewo make I zero my mind then o. |
Ok..I just finished cooking oniru palm oil rice and fish and I saw my post on the front page..oga seun, don't make money out of my predicament .lol..jokes aside..Please anyone that can help me with a job in a lawfirm that can pay sth reasonable please do..I beg u with everything you hold dear.A lawyer is taught to be proud..If I close mouth ,form say all is well..I may take to the streets due to frustration |
I woke up this morning with a lot on my mind. So much that I didn't know when tears started rolling down my cheeks. I am getting frustrated. To think I did everything right in school to ensure I left with with a 2:1 grade. I ask myself ,where did I go wrong? To make matters worse, my family members think all is well since I am a "barrister". I am slowly beginning to regret my decision to be a lawyer. Though I am still serving as a batch C corps member,I get scared. So scared that I may have to take up work in a firm that pays 15000 naira. God knows I have tried. I have sent out more than 200 applications, yet nothing! Which job recuitment site have I not signed up with? This was not what I envisaged for my career when I was being called to bar. Even in the midst of the mass failure of my set, I bagged a 2.2 from law school; still nothing to show for it. I know people from my university that graduated with 3rd class now working with top law firms. Well, I have been told to stop wasting my time by applying for associate jobs on the websites of law firms. The reason being that they rarely employ lawyers anonymously. It is mostly through recommendation or connection. God knows I really want to practice law, but the job is not forthcoming. I have my rent to pay, bills to take care of and cannot survive on 15k a month after 6 years of going to school. I am open to suggestions anyways. Someone even adviced I start a business or learn a trade! Yes, that's how sad it is. Many may feel am overreacting. All fingers are not equal. Family members and friends I thought would be able to help out are now giving me the cold shoulder. I have cause to be worried since I am solely responsible for myself now. I can't even bear the thought of going back home to depend on my parents. If I had known it was going to be this way, I wouldn't have wasted my time and resources becoming a lawyer. What's the point? I am still looking and bringing myself to apply to firms. After december, I may have to think of something else to do. |
Am reading "dappled things" by kingsley iweka..The story is captivating and makes a good read. The author is a young one,but definitely knows his onions.@dearpreye,keep up the good work here..I find your love for reading very commendable.I love good books, both fiction and non fiction.A day without reading feels so wasted. |
