TheSuperNerd:Hei god. As how now 😭😭😭😭💔 |
Elock1:Exactly. I understand that the NFF remains the root cause of our issues, but let's be honest. They've always been incompetent. Nigerian internationals have been complaining about this since time immemorial. I think even the 94 set had the same issues, yet look at what they accomplished. The current Super Eagles simply lack the passion. And partly, I don't blame them, because who'll want to play with good mind for these criminals in the NFF? I won't be surprised if many of them enjoy playing for their European clubs more than they enjoy playing for Nigeria. But at the same time they should understand that their legacy is on the line. It will be a mighty blow if Osimhen and Lookman don't go to the World Cup in their prime. |
If you want to troll, at least use your own head and come up with funny lines, instead of outsourcing your critical thinking to ChatGPT. |
yinkeys:Especially Qatar. Those guys have been really decent of late. |
To be honest, I already know Nigeria will beat Lesotho. I'm sure of that one. Whether we'll beat them convincingly is another issue, but we'll surely win. The match with Benin is the real deal breaker. |
elyte89:We been knew |
Mujtahida:U20 ancestor 🤣🤣🤣 |
yinkeys:Honestly I pray he doesn't, but idk. |
mekabuachi:Funny enough, I trust Benjamin more in the right back position. Na 4-4-2 Chelle go likely play, which means there has to be a spot for Ajayi. Let's see what Eric Chelle has in mind tho. Omo I just weak abeg. This WCQ don tire me. |
The scenes on this thread when Semi Ajayi starts his defensive magic tomorrow and on the 14th. 😂😂😂 |
123jamessmith:Lol. The NFF can't even put pressure on a balloon. |
I still want to know how much lower we can go until we decide to do a complete blackout on Nigerian sports. Both fans and media. No more coverage of Nigerian sports. If government can't do something, surely there's something we the fans should be able to do. Drastic times call for drastic measures. Or are we not there yet? To me we've exceeded the threshold. It's been at least a decade non-stop of absolute mediocrity and underperfomance with few flashes of brilliance in between that we can't sustain. |
This is what being a Man U fan feels like. |
codemaniacs:Then I wonder what the SE coaching crew are waiting for. |
Wait o? Where is the Abdullahi Shitu that they said is playing for Man City? |
The saddest and scariest part of this whole thing is that even this U-20 team that are losing 4-0 still look more proactive, creative, slick and sharper on the ball than our senior Super Eagles that want to play on Friday. Think about that for a second. |
Karlovich:Next year, his birth certificate will read 2009. Charlatans. All of them. |
Just how low do we have to go before we declare state of emergency on our national football? Currently the only team that's performing consistently is the women's senior and age-grade teams. The men's teams are absolutely clapped. Back in the day, when the men's senior teams mess up, we used to look forward to the U17 and U20 because they always delivered. Now I'm not sure if they're even worse than the senior team. |
Nawa. See where we went and conceded a free kick. God abeg. Edit: Goal. 2-0 Oh well. |
Ragingthunder:Are we at least playing well? Or are they using us to catch cruise? |
jihday:I'm just curious, how much more do we have to take from these charlatans before we reach a state of emergency and decide to boycott Nigerian sports, or better yet, hit the streets in protest? Is the sport sector this shambolic? |
williams2326:You've had 10-11 months since the last BBN season to face "issues of national importance" before this year's own started. What did you people achieve? |
Arizoner:First things first, Nigeria has to win her remaining two games against Benin and Lesotho. And with enough goals (at least 2 per game). This one is the most important. We MUST WIN BOTH GAMES. Benin is currently topping the table. If we beat them, they drop points and we tie with them, potentially beating them on goal difference to top the table, even if they win their second game. Meanwhile, South Africa has two games left. If we want to qualify directly, and not through the playoffs, we have to hope that South Africa doesn't win any of their next 2 games. 2 losses, 2 draws, or 1 draw and 1 loss for South Africa is enough for Nigeria to pull an upset and top the table, qualifying directly for the Mundial. If South Africa wins one game, we have to pray they lose the second, so that we can tie with them and potentially beat them on goal difference. That way, we still qualify directly. If South Africa gets points from BOTH of their next two games (2 wins, or 1 win and 1 draw), we have no choice but to settle for the playoffs. We won't be able to top the table, but we can finish second. If Nigeria draws or loses ANY of the next two matches, you can take everything I just said and throw it out the window. 😂 This is the simplest explanation I can give you. |
elyte89:By then he go dey 16 years. He still has time. 😃 |
TheSuperNerd: Kog45:I don't know why, but I'm oddly comfortable with the fact that there are pundits here giving valuable advice to our football teams. We don't give Nairaland enough credit. 😁 Now, if only Chelle had a correspondent here... |
Odunayaw:Even hearing the name "Sodiq" boils my blood and gets me riled up. 🤦🏾♀️ Abeg sorry to anyone here whose name is Sodiq. 😅 |
Nigeria doesn't deserve to go to the World Cup abeg. Let's tell ourselves the truth. In fact, I hope Benin wins and secures the top spot. Nigeria isn't going to the World Cup. 🤣 If you like quote me later, but you'll just be acting foolish. The way our team is structured, we can't perform consistently. We'll have brief moments of joy, but we'll always flop when least expected. Until we sort out the virus that is NFF, nothing will change. If a miracle happens and we go to the World Cup (we won't), the highest we'll get is 2 points (2 draws and a loss). We might win only one game if we're lucky to face a team that doesn't even know what a football is. We've seen this script play out over and over again. Abeg make I go watch Big Brother Naija. England for World Cup 2026. It's coming home this time. ✌🏾 |
realpoacher:I want to believe that NFF is behind that list and not Chelle because what the actual hell? |
mekabuachi:What the hell is this rubbish? This better be a joke. |
Well at least they got the 3 points Obviously they may finish worse than the last edition with the way they're playing. My expectations for this squad have dipped drastically. |
