I don't think affividat will suffice for this. You will need to correct the name on the passport.

If the mistake was from the Immigration office, then your son shouldn't have collected the passport or activate it. By doing so, he has accepted the responsibility.

If the name he filled in his form is different from what was printed on the passport and he is sure the mistake was from them. He should have reject it. They would have reprinted it.

Unfortunately, this can only be corrected in Abuja at the head office and it is a bit expensive.

Maybe I'll correct the name on NIN then, since it's just N2,500 and can be done within the State and get him another birth certificate

My son got his passport yesterday and his name was written as Oluwaseyi, he has Oluseyi on all other documents including NIN and birth certificate. I am already in the UK and also used Oluseyi when I was filling his name as my dependant.

Will an affidavit be okay?
Can a minor swear an affidavit?

My POF bank account is frozen because of a big sum of money that entered before I started counting.. at the moment I cant even print pof beacuse the account is frozen.. please how do I go about this.. I'm just exhausted..hope this is not a problem?

This happens mostly to bank accounts opened as a student with school ID cards. Go to your bank with means of identification and your account will be upgraded.
NOTE that you will have to explain the source and maybe purpose of the fund.

1. It depends on your school, what does your school require? Ask the Nigerian representative. If you do not have anyone to ask, you may have to keep the money in you account for 28days.
2. You can use the same statement in as much as it has all the POF you need.
