Makes a lot of sense and it's the future. It's unavoidable. It's the less maintenance for me that's the biggest selling point. And next, Naira for Naira, it's a quarter of the price of the "fuel". Don't forget BYD. They're in Abuja now. |
veraponpo:Finally. Someone that sees through all the negativity. |
She is actually a terrible woman. I was relocating to the country. Shipped my thinks and two SUVs. They said I'm importing furniture. I said, I'm relocating to Nigeria!!! This is stuff from my house. 3 weeks later in a hotel in Lagos trying to clear my things, she abused my agent everyday. While I was there, I saw her "obtain" from people's containers everyday. Wine, clothes, daipers, even baby dolls!!! I asked those around, what is she doing with all these things. They said she had a shop in town. She left everyday with armed army guards. Everyone begging begging and begging for her attention to solve one issue or another. Meanwhile, your goods are entering demurrage oh! On the final day, was a Friday, they said come back Monday. I wan die! Monday ke!? My oyinbo partner then went in and bribed some people and lastly her. She said we can't just go like that oh. Gave us her small touch light phone and asked to load it with credit. Na so we begin enter codes. One by one from the recharge card. Don't remember the amount now but over N20,000. Some in N200 paper. Online wasn't really a thing then. Nigerian officials can be bad, but trust me, this was another level of EVIL!!! Zonefree: |
Anyone know what dollar is going for now? I'm told N572 to buy today in Abuja, but that was just a phone call. Any info from "on-ground"? |
Finally. A good response. The fact that it took this long down the thread to see this IS the problem. Solve your own problem. Stop blaming others. ahiboilandgas: |
Why are so many people abusing him? Even if you don't like him did he lie this time? Abusing on Nairaland will not change Nigeria. Get involved. Thats all. Even touts that smash ballot boxes are involved. If all we're willing to do is press our phones then we should not complain. I for one I'm not getting involved. So I won't complain when Naira hits N1000 to $1 lol ![]() |
I honestly can't wait till that thing is up and running. And for those that are doubting, he's running the cement factory just fine no? And nobody gave him concession. He got off his butt and hustled to get it. Maybe not all of us could have had the resources to hustle like him, but there are other rich and influential people in Nigeria that have done nothing. Kudos to him! |
Abeg.. Leave Dangote make e finish our refinery oh! Gold digger no go better our economy in any way! |
Abeg, leave the man to complete the capital projects he's working on in Nigeria. He's not doing anything wrong. Especially not anything worse than the other non-performing "big men" in Nigeria. |
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a NIN on my GTB app. So the comments here verify that if your BVN starts with 221 you do get one. My question now is, my NIN is a 10 digit number. The code verification is asking for an 11 digit number. |
That means you're using the older app the newer one gt world, shows it when you press menu. iLegendd: |
Don't mind them. Can comment, but can't read. Naughtysex: |
Ibrahimmrfish:You couldn't be more wrong. Elon is probably one of the few having a FANTASTIC year! 1. Tesla shares have reported for the 5th year straight growth. Over 400% 2. Sent Six people to the ISS (2 missions) for the fist time from US soil since NASA 9 years ago. 3. His world wide starlink internet that will eventually give high speed internet even to my village started about 2 months ago. 4. His Tesla model 3 is finally meeting demand manufatcuring. 5. He just surpassed Bill Gates to become the 2nd richest man on earth at $147 Billion ... and many more! If that's a bad year, where do I sign up!! ![]() |
ZINIIBANKS:This must be hard for you to watch. To know that your life is so sad, it makes you pissed that so many others have it good! ![]() |
Fantastic point!!!! People blame govt and politicians as if they're foreign invaders. They are young Nigerians that grew old. Be good to yourself and neighbor NOW so you'll be a good leader later. allanphash7: |
kingxsamz:Very true lol Good point |
1. Learn to pay bills on time. 2. Don't borrow money. (Credit cards etc) |
ALEX182:Don't mind them. Same thing happened to me in Canada. Lady came to my computer store to ask me to help get print out her emails. No how you'll gander some text from it. She was being scammed. Actually. Had already been scammed. $65,000. She was at this time freaking out a bit cos of lack of communication from the Nija scammers. Instead of them to just ignore her. They apologized and asked for another $7,000 to pay some taxes on the money she was expecting as profit so they could send it. I told her, "please, I couldn't help but notice..." She then motioned me to stop! That she know what she was doing. So I kept my mouth shut. Fast forward a few days, her attire had changed. She'll come into the internet Cafe part of my store looking toosh. And sending more money. When yawa blew. She had apparently borrowed money from relatives etc and now totally backrupt and depressed. I felt bad. But she told me straight up to mind my business... So.. |
To an ant, the earth is flat. To an eagle that sours, it knows its round. Think like an eagle, not an ant. ![]() But on a more serious note, it's scary some people still believe the earth is flat ![]() |
Watched it live as well. Very impressive by a private company. Elon Musk just doesn't take no for an answer. The cynical comments above is why Obasanjo Space Center in Abuja is empty lol ![]() |
If we declare 7 days mourning for all the big men that have died this year to Corona, we no go work this year ![]() |
If we declare 7 days mourning for all the big men that have died this year to Corona, we no go with this year ![]() |
So they want to say no cases in KOGI. !? That governor that's testing with app! ![]() |
When they take light on the senate floor, with agbada and no AC they will unban it lol Fix power, demand and supply will regulate itself. You don't need to ban cement importation for instance... |
Reading comments on Nairaland is just funny. It's too hard to rule Nigerians. They'll complain whatever you do. Those people doing the smuggling are Nigerians. Don't bother bringing tribes into it! He's not here forever. Next election, run so that you can fix all Nigeria's problems. The issue is not buhari alone. It's vastly - mainly Nigerians! We too dey break laws! If we all choose to strive to practice being good citizens, the impact on the country will be more that any politician's. |
Damn! This really made me laugh. Just shows how difficult it is to govern! donbachi: |
This is gospel truth. I wish there was a way for everyone to have a sincere reflection on the points raised. People yell, Nigeria is bad... a hellhole! But is a country not it's people? Nigeria is filled with Nigerians. So if Nigeria is bad, then... (do the math). EVERYONE IN GOVT IS A NIGERIAN! Again... do the math. I'm in construction. Whenever we go to a site, the gateman/guard that is smiling and shaking in front of his oga (our client) is the same one that will frustrate everything we try to do on site when the oga is gone. Because he has a little power. Every single time, every single site that has one, without fail! But begin to give him N200, buy him a drink and he's on your side! Is that not receiving bribery at your place of work!? Now imagine that gateman, that curses the thieves in government everyday for his woes, becomes a community leader, a LG chairman, a commissioner, a house of rep member, senator, governor or president. His subjects are doomed! |
They can do more than one project at a time. Sign more than one PPP at a time. Obviously some companies see the potential in Nigerian broadband to invest in it. That doesn't stop investment in roads, agric, electricity etc. If we do one at a time, we'll never grow! joeluv: |
This is an excellent development. Those who know, know. This is the information age. And it's a PPP arrangement. Investors prefer when govt has a stake in what they're doing just for some show off faith. Plus it's usually a requirement for financing. There is a lot more to internet penetration to a society than complaining on Nairaland! |
Ol boy, you no go talk like this if the lands dey banana island! ![]() Cti28: |
