Nairaland / General / Re: Something Is Generally Wrong With Nigerians!!! by Quincykay: 12:01pm On Oct 22, 2018
You'll see someone driving without seat belt. They'll only put it on to avoid getting harassed by police, not to save their lives. THE HUGE IRONY is you'll see the children in the back without seat belts and the police will wave them by because the driver has his belt on. That simply means neither the driver or police fully understand the concept of seat belt.

WARNING:

To our money crazy politicians and co, know that these electric cars are not meant to be used in Nigeria. Because you still need to buy fuel to power your generators before you can recharge these cars. So just save the stress and refuel your car directly.

That's not really accurate. Unless you're in the village, all you need is 30 mins light to charge for over 400km range. Just like how people said automatic cars can't work on Nigeria (if you're old enough, you'll remember) this definitely can work here. Only parts and service will be an issue initially.

From the little I know, engineers don't like blasting in the rain, because of the detonation cap (trigger) gets wet, it can cause a failed blast. That's a big deal because now you have undetonated explosives on your active site.

I have noticed the tremors during rain as it's been raining a lot in Abuja.

I know there are other methods to blast in the wet sha. Just sharing.

I haven't noticed a pattern to say it's man made (blasting). Although I haven't felt any between 12am and 6am both days. So maybe? Please let me know if I'm wrong.

To my earlier point. Neighbors felt it at night as well.

Another massive one as I type now.

I'm in Maitama. Been feeling this for 3 days. Largest one was 6:11am this morning. Something actually feel in the living room. Yesterday was about 15 of them.

The day before, I felt 4. Don't know if there were more as I was out of town.

As at this morning, since I was woken up by the massive one at 6:11am, there have been about 5.

I haven't noticed a pattern to say it's man made (blasting). Although I haven't felt any between 12am and 6am both days. So maybe? Please let me know if I'm wrong.

From talking to all my friends and family that live in the area, mpape seems to be where is strongest.

It happened while I was talking to someone in bannex and we both felt it at the same time. But mine in maitama was stronger.

Farmers market area felt it too. But not Guzape.

I putting this info up so we can try to figure it out ourselves as govt seems to be guessing too. So any relivant info should please added.

Please no need for Buhari and Jesus to be mentioned. Just saying oh. No be fight.

Education / Re: Anambra University Lecturer Appears In Ph.d Class As ‘Transgender’ (Photos) by Quincykay: 3:41pm On Aug 17, 2018
It was gathered that the lecturer (name withheld) was to teach a topic on culture shock and gender issues so he decided to demonstrate this by dressing like a transgender (man to woman).

So any student that can't engage doesn't understand why they paid school fees! You're to engage the teacher with your views, positive or negative.

If you've already made up your mind on issues, then no need to go to school.

I hope people realize that this is how to grow a country and enrich its people. By making the economy strong. Not by sharing money during elections. But I'm sure some will disagree.
