And why not just raise a child, why must it be HIS child?
The answer is that man is an ANIMAL and subject to the same drives as animals. He can't use his bigger brain to override these drives. He can't reason that all the holes are same and therefore no need to be polygamous. He can't reason that raising a child is raising a child wether the sperm was his or not.

A man can have sex and simply walk away and go brag to his friends, and go find another woman. End of story. A woman CAN'T. We have to deal with possible pregnancy, childbirth, nursing the baby, damage to our reputation, etc.
