I notice participation in the forum is way down (though the forum is much more civil).
I suspect it has something to do with the brief bans. Though it is a very good thing, it could be affecting participation somehow. Or it could be the minimum number of letters. I really can't fathom it. Maybe you should go back to how it used to be - more uncivil and tribalist. Because the forum has to first survive before talk of it being polite!
I'm Easterner BTW. Many of the people pretending to be are actually not. They're just trying to get you become biased

The man was told that they saw him in her video. He received several calls regarding the issue.
You can't just put up one random video to justify her action

Several people told me they saw me on the news in a clip they were showing about open air vigil. I should go and sue them for invading my privacy!

YouTube does not allow anyone to upload pictures or videos of women walking on a road. Close to 15 Candid video sites all lost their internet licenses or websites because it was felt the women in the videos were being secretly recorded. Me being a sharp guy I knew it was only a matter of time before the Americans went against that practice. All 15 websites disappeared without a trace for recording women with camera's as they walked down the street. The problem was simple, the woman is the subject of the entire video does she know she is being recorded, does she want her body to be viewed by millions ?
Your saying because people are in the public you can take their pictures is no better than the alaba man who pirates DVD's they say well I bought the DVD I can do what I want with it.

Or men who rape women without their consent. Consent means you are not thinking about yourself alone and the other party wants to participate in the same activity as you.

You have shifted the goal post. Your comment I responded to said she had no right to video people. Well, now you know, she does! Suppose it was a secret or area mounted camera? Any time you're in a place without reasonable expectation of privacy, anybody has a right to video you. What they do with your image on the video is a different matter all together. If they use it in advertisement or such, you take them to court, NOT attack them on the street! In this case I think this lady will win any court case

Nobody has the right to record people or transmit their pictures without express permission. Do you use Google ? When Google try to do their security thing with pictures you will notice all faces are blurred and all car licence plates are blurred. Ideally Google does not even have the right to take those pictures in the first place.
Around the world copyright is a huge deal. That's why when professional organizations do interviews

Totally wrong. Anytime you're in a place where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy anybody has a right to record you. You have a right to record anything you can see from a public space. However using your image for commercial purposes or clearly focusing on you in particular is a different matter all together!
