i am not sure what you mean by honest and real money in large scheme of things. 50k is a lot of money, and there is a reason an account was flagged for a transfer of 10k-30kcad. 50kcad/usd is about the down deposit of buying a 750k house, most can not save that easily, it takes 2-10years of rigorous saving for most people, maybe 1-5years for a couple. Your bedbug posting is simply confirming what i said. Inside temperature can possibly go as low as 12 degree celcius , not -12 degree celcius which i suspect you are confusing together. A bed bug will not be killed in 12 degree celcius.
But $50K cannot buy a house of $750. In Nigeria will anyone let you put down $50K for a $750K house? Nope!
As for bedbugs, in that case why did cold kill off all the mosquitoes - if you're going by inside temperature

cheesy so you still rely or seeking validation from Forbes to determine who own bread?

E- Money normally get bread, better bread. So leave Forbes for the likes of Obi Nwanne Okeke n co
But bread from where? That's what we're all trying to figure out

So once he talks about Kanu's release, his money will automatically stop being evil?
Kanu's actions led to the lives of many people. Why are you not talking about the lost lives? Don't they deserve justice?

Typical African wisdom.

The type of wisdom that has kept them at the bottom of social development.
That's what's amazing, we never learn. When the British were advancing on Benin with a few soldiers, the oba was busy doing human sacrifices to ward them off. Though it not work at all, Africans still believe in human sacrifice till today!

Taking everything into consideration, not just music, Fela is far greater than Burner Boy and Davido
But music specifically, Fela was just not as good. Imagine Burner Boy stretching his Las Las to 14 minutes with 7minutes intro instrumentals, who'd listen to that??

Evert part of the story ....is just fiction ...just fly from Nigeria to Canada like say na Contonu he de go .....nonsense
But going from Nigeria to Canada is exactly like going to Cotonou if you have Canadian passport as he does. The only difference is the $1200 he paid for transport (which, in the scheme of things, is not a huge amount of money). Infact going to Cotonou is even much harder if you go by road!

Do you truly mean this or you are joking? over 95% of Americans do not have that in their bank accounts or never had that. Do you think it is 50,000 Naira? 50,000USD is just about the average annual salary of Americans after tax, some may argue before tax. it means more than 50% do not earn that in a year.

When it gets really cold outide, the inside temperature will probably go as low as 12 degree celsius, assuming no house heater is on, it is not cold enough to kill the bugs. Outside temperature is not same as inside temperature.
You have to be honest, $50K is just not real money in the large scheme of things. As for bedbugs, this below says 4 days in the freezer kills even the eggs

You know most Nigerians think cold is good because of the extreme heat they been subjected to u til they jam cold. By that time, they will know that is different between water and acid even though both have same appearance.
But why can't the cold kill off bedbugs same way it kills mosquitoes? Even this $50K per night hotel had bedbugs.
I know $50K is NOT a huge amount of money but it is not chump change either!

I am seriously afraid of transferring money after that even, the exchange rates where high in December and I had a max of $10k per day for etransfer. I did 10k and gbam, I was blocked the second day after $20k.

I told them I woulbe living part time during the winter in Nigeria and for them to leave a comment on my account.

I actually believe they would go to any extent to stop international transfers to Nigeria because they are using my money for free.

Now, I am trying to hire a tax consultant to clarify the new tax laws of Tinubu before make any further bulk transfer as I was looking to dump money in Nigeria's Treasury Bills before end of last December.

I actually just came back and banks thought I was living in Canada reason they blocked my account. I actually did not have enough money to buy tickets as all my funds were in the account so I told the fraud agent how they expected me to come to Canada?

I had to dip into my business trust account witn BMO to buy the ticket. I noticed business accounts are less strict with transactions.
Oh, ok. You relocating permanently?

forget this your googled talk. In ancient times, men didn't just marry, their father\family married wives for them. Some parents started the process immediately the girl child was born, that was why they took it as if the wives were the properties of the family and can give them to any family member when their husbands died.
I don't know where you're from, but where I'm from you don't get married and expect your parents to feed your wife and kids. People get married when they're fairly able to take care of a family - mid to late twenties!

The Op. must have read so many of James Hadley Chase's novels such that his narration is a master thriller taking one from line to line as one is held spellbound.

Can't wait to read the continuation of the very captivating narration of his experience in Canada.

Truly, it's not always greener on the other side!

Bedbugs are in Canada too!

Kudos, man!

Lol. There were bedbugs in the most expensive hotel in NYC. See below

Sorry ooh. This is what bad governance back home has caused. Nigeria has everything that should attract foreigners to come settle down and work for us too. But our demonic politicians from hell will rather loot our common treasury. Nature will never be kind to them and their unborn generations they gather for. angry
Not only politicians. Nigerians are corrupt - police, army, hospitals, you name it

My cousin came back from Germany last December, hasn't gone back and will stay till March; supervising a rental apartment he is building and wires money from his German bank; what do you think will happen if the bank blocks his account around Christmas when he just came back, and ask him to come in person to rectify it?
The Op said he had other episodes, let him finish telling the complete story, then I can draw a logical conclusion. For now, everything seems okay.
But OP lives permanently in Naija. What's your take now
