The answer is yes there's nothing in Nigerian constitution that prevent a law maker from standing as a surety and if you all who do not found anything wrong with this government disobeying the rule of law I'll say you all are the enemy of the state. And again if you have a little understanding of our constitution you would have understood that before he the senator stand as surety for Kanu, IPOB was not an illegal organization and I'm sure if you had done little research you would have understood that the court of competent jurisdiction has ruled that IPOB was not an illegal organization.

Of course Nnamdi Kanu was not a secessionist leader. Secession is when an area within a country declares its independence without approval from the country its self. Kanu never declared any area in Nigeria independent of Nigeria. Saying you want an area to be separate or separated from Nigeria is what is called self determination which is allowed under international law which Nigeria signed up to. Declaring a separate country in Nigeria and enforcing it without due process is secession. The essential thing to be a secessionist is that you must be controlling an area and declare it independent area on your own. So unless someone can tell us that Nnamdi Kanu actually declared anywhere in Nigeria as Biafra and actually took over the area, the Kanu is not a secessionist.
