Stingman:So positions in the UN and OPEC are govt sponsored but the position occupied by an Ibo in the ICC are heavenly sponsored abi? You need quota system because whatever system of training your brain went through is clearly defective. I wonder what they put in your water over there that causes this mass delusion of grandeur. Greedy wailers everywhere. |
Stingman:Last time I checked, the deputy U.N Secretary General is a northerner, as well as the Secretary General of OPEC, Sanusi Barkindo. That we are not chestbeaters doesn't mean we do not have global champions. Second of all, all states have quotas for the intake of recruits into those agencies. The ignorance on this thread is strong. Besides it is your useless Ohaneze that is wailing for unity schools, not anyone else. Take your frustration elsewhere. |
Throwback:Million dollar questions than cannot be answered by the perpetual victim players. I think sheer ignorance lies at the base of ohanezes wails. |
Yyeske:The question is why Ohaneze are so concerned about QS when it only applies to unity schools, which account for less than 10% of the total number of secondary schools in the country. Another thing to ponder about which they are clearly ignorant of, is the fact that the QS cutoff scores are determined by the degree of competition for slots amongst candidates and not any sentimental basis i.e the higher the scores of competing students, the higher the cutoff mark. |
luvinhubby:A remarkable majority of quotasystem products are a lot better than half-baked, barely literate products of state and LG owned institutions; this is a fact and the proof is right here on nairaland. |
Great. What is good in Anambra and Lagos is great in Kano. Ambode's new law seems to be waking up the sense of self preservation among us. |
The amiable Baba Presido stuns again with another sting right in the wailers arse . Welcome Rex.

CaptainJeffry:I'm sure they do too judging from their excited faces , unfortunately the constitution limits him to only two terms. |
BankeSmalls:As if you have a choice... ![]() |
Frustration is just oozing from the comments of wailers and iPorks alike ![]() |
Cooly100:FACT is Jonathan was a complete dunce of a President. Yet he had a PhD ![]() |
FarahAideed:You mean like the eastern bigots who gave 95% of their block votes to the ineffectual buffoon? Is it a different INEC or has the Pope been appointed as its Chairman? Is democracy no longer a game of numbers where the majority carries the vote? Do you even have any candidate as we speak? Ponder on these before beating your rustic chest sore . |
By Emeka Mamah, Clifford Ndujihe, Vincent Ujumadu, Anayo Okoli & Dennis Agbo IGBO leaders, who were attacked by youths suspected to be members of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and other pro-Biafra agitation groups in a meeting in Enugu on Tuesday have reeled out gory tales of how they nearly lost their lives during the commotion. Secretary of Igbo Leaders of Thought, ILT, and former director-general of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Prof Elochukwu Amucheazi, said he nearly lost his life during fracas. A group of youths suspected to be members of IPOB and other pro –Biafra groups disrupted the event which was meant to honour some notable Igbo, including the first republic president, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi and late Chief Sam Mbakwe, among others. Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB however, issued a statement yesterday, denying involvement in the attack. Amucheazi told Vanguard on the telephone that, although his red cap, eye glasses and mobile telephone which were forcefully taken away from him were immediately returned, he was still in shock over the attack. He said: “I was there to see Prof Nwabueze, as I didn’t even know about the awards or that anybody would be honoured. “Before much was said, they started shouting and started throwing sachet (pure) water at me. They wanted to destroy my car. We were cautioning them to listen to the elders so that they would learn from them, but they refused to listen. IPOB not applying right method– Maria Okwor Also giving account of what happened, Deputy leader of the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, Chief Mrs Maria Okwor said that the young members of the Indigenous People of Biafra were not applying the appropriate method pursuant of their agitation for a separatist country. She said that IPOB and other Pro-Biafra groups should accept restructuring Nigeria for now, noting that if the country is restructured, it would be easier to realise the autonomous country as being agitated by the groups. Okwor who was reacting to the disruption of ECA meeting in Enugu on Tuesday observed that the Dr Dozie Ikedife-led Biafra agitation group was going about the quest legally and asked the younger agitators to take it easy. She however asked President Muhammadu Buhari to listen to voice of the angry Nigerians and devise a means of assuaging the monumental anger in the country. “Nobody is happy, we are all dissatisfied. Look at the security hierarchy, there is no Igbo there. They said they have defeated Boko Haram but they are still there. I sympathise with these youths and their lives no longer mean anything to them. Incident was unfortunate—Mbazulike Amaech Reacting to the incident, First Republic Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi yesterday described as unfortunate, the disruption of the event of the Igbo leaders in Enugu, advising those who had any reason to protest against any perceived injustice meted out to them to always adopt peaceful means in fighting their cause. “After my address, I was honoured before I left and there was no objection or murmur from the crowd. As I was going, I saw a lot of buses heading towards the venue. It was in the Vanguard Newspaper that I read that there was disruption. “Our people should not forget what Zik did for the country. With him as our leader, we confronted the colonial masters and chased them away and took over government. If not what we did, Nigeria would not have got her independence at the time she did,” he said. Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/03/how-ipob-attacked-us-at-enugu-meeting-igbo-leaders/ |
remedick:What silly achievements recognised by whom? They don't even meet your specifications talk more of meeting mine...besides what "south" are you talking about because from this thread all we have down there is east and the better west. Meanwhile focus because your pipe dream of SU is being blown to pieces on the daily, if you weren't so naive you should have known your mission was DOA. No wonder you were hiding from the thread on the Kano-Lagos Economic Summit ![]() Like I said, good luck ![]() |
Northern integration in progress. Allah ya bada zaman lafiya |
kn23h:They're patching some cracked bridges...give em some credit naw ![]() |
kn23h:It is loading, they're busy developing global markets from Wall Street to Hong Kong first. |
Impressive initiative, leaders with vision. Lagos and Kano are the fastest developing states in the country with unique comparative advantages, so it comes as no surprise they're synergizing for progress. |
First it was the successful Lagos-Kebbi LAKE Rice Initiative... Now it is another initiative between Lagos and Kano states... Ambode knows a thing or two about strategic partnerships, no wonder his administration is all shades of excellence... Meanwhile some people are busy looking for no-mans-land.

usba:More like spotted in the mud ![]() But whether Kanu is in Ghana, China or Six feet deep; who really cares? The main point is the brainless pollutant of a noisemaker has been taught never to bite more than he can chew, and has been effectively disposed off to irritate Nigerians no more. |
