Mine was done under General anaesthesia. So u dont know how and when its done. They use a thread to sew you cervix and a lil part of the thread remains in your vjay. Tho except you insert your hand in deep u may not feel it (even during sex). I think that thread will assist when they want to remove it (mostly as 37weeks). You may feel a little dull ache around there for about 2days but its usually not painful. I didnt really feel pain for mine except for dull aches that was rare. I was also given vaginal inserts until 28weeks 2protect against infections to the foreign item inside.

Yesitsme:
Good morning mama's, February cappo and mums I hail.. So my story is an interesting but not a funny one. On 30th Dec, I became restless and unable to eat which is my own sign of labour and my stomach was contracting with with pains around my waist region . The next day we went to hospital and d Dr requested we do a scan scan said OS was slightly opened and Dr proceeded to check me and thanks to God, my cervix was intact but I was having contractions. He gave me three injections to strengthen baby's lungs incase she decides to come plus drugs to reduce contraction and was placed on bed rest.
The drugs came with adverse effects of headaches and weakness of the body. Had to visit a medical centre and they said same thing, take the drugs and bed rest. It persisted, I had to go back to the first hospital again, tests were run and malaria ++ was discovered and I was admitted immediately. After taking d drips the next day, contractions started again and hubby became uncomfortable with the whole process. He took me out of the hospital to Maternal and Child Hospital. There scan was requested and same thing was said. But was asked to drop know of the drugs and take enough rest, he said I will be on the drive till I get to 36-37wks and allow labour come.
Am at home now, but contraction comes on and off with waist pain.

So sorry about this hun. Its good u have been given steroids to mature baby's lungs. Pls follow all instructions and rest well. Let's at least drag it till week 37. Kpele

Cappo I am fyn and doing great. Baby is kicking as hard as ever with every little sound and touch am so enjoying the feeling. 35 weeks and 3days today and am done with shopping. I think February is even far thinking of porting to January.

Teamie, I'm also thinking in this direction. One of my hospital offers this but its 2hrs away 4rm me. D other hospital doesn't. I even thought of relocating when I'm close just to get this. You could google the adv and disadv tho. I heard it slows labor n dts y its gvn at abt 4cm. But if I'll b comfortable, the length of tym wont matter.

Thanks cappo. Everything is going fine. My appetite has increased. Feel stronger but can be tired at times. Baby is doing fine with strong movement's. Sorry I have not been online for some time. And hope you and other teamies are doing great.

It wont be a bad idea to start taking dates from now. This is believed to help with Labour and delivery. We can also start cleaning our nipples n areola. You dont want those cuties putting their mouth to those black dirty stuffs. Do all these if it doesnt affect u.

I am so happy at the thought of next month. May it all end in praise for us all. I know some of us will port i forgive you before hand . Just make sure you and baby are fine.

Sabi mamas i hail thee. Please how do i ease upper back pain? I also find it hard to sit as my a.n.u.s is now tender and painful(sorry TMI). My toilet visits have also increased. Biko help ur sister

My teamie, sorry abt the pains. Also get some slight pain when i lie on a side 4long. U may want to change positions. Maybe you should stop the nipple cleaning for now too until you see your doctor at least. I've also been battling upper back pain 4sometime. It's really getting real. We shall all carry to term.
