Oh my! Considering all his weirdness and sheer craziness why do I still find this guy utterly intriguing?? Takes a whote lotta boldness to be this guy. Like him or hate him, he's still Denrele.

Just like saying, whether you like or hate Majek Fashek, he is still Majek Fashek.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25

Christ the Power and the Wisdom of God

18 For the message about Christ's death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God's power. 19 The scripture says,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and set aside the understanding of the scholars.”

20 So then, where does that leave the wise? or the scholars? or the skillful debaters of this world? God has shown that this world's wisdom is foolishness!

21 For God in his wisdom made it impossible for people to know him by means of their own wisdom. Instead, by means of the so-called “foolish” message we preach, God decided to save those who believe. 22 Jews want miracles for proof, and Greeks look for wisdom. 23 As for us, we proclaim the crucified Christ, a message that is offensive to the Jews and nonsense to the Gentiles; 24 but for those whom God has called, both Jews and Gentiles, this message is Christ, who is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For what seems to be God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and what seems to be God's weakness is stronger than human strength.

icebeatz: The problem isn't their complexion, it's their culture. In America, we think only dumb people become criminals. That's not true in the Third World!
icebeatz:
Nigeria, for example, leads the world in criminal enterprises. Every level of Nigerian society is criminal, with the smart ones running Internet scams, the mid-range ones running car theft rings, and the stupid ones engaging in piracy and kidnapping. At the University of Lagos, you can major in credit card fraud.
icebeatz:
There were almost no Nigerians in the United States until the 1970s. Today, there are nearly 250,000 Nigerians in the U.S. (committing the cyber-crime Americans just won't do!). In 2011, we took in more immigrants from Nigeria than from the United Kingdom (9,246 from the U.K. and 9,344 from Nigeria).
icebeatz:
Gosh, I sure hope our new Somali and Nigerian immigrants have German-style rectitude and are very honest about reporting all their income to the government.

Family / Beware Of This Dangerous Plant! by raffite: 11:23pm On Aug 13, 2013
BEWARE OF THIS PLANT!

Umunnem pls If you have a plant like the one in the picture below, get rid of it.

This plant is very common at our houses, gardens, parks and offices (popular as indoor & outdoor plant). The plant (Dumb Cane or Dieffenbachia) is now proven to be dangerous, so, please take care!

I know that the leaf of this plant causes itching if its sap (milk) touches your skin. But there are more dangerous facts! Read the details below.May be useful for you. You better believe it. Please read below.

One of my friends almost lost her daughter who put a piece of the leaf of this plant in her mouth and her tongue swelled to the point of suffocation. This is one plant but there are others with the same characteristics of coloring. Those are also poisonous and we should get rid of them.

Please watch out for our children. As we all leave our children at home in the hands of a nanny, we should give them a safe environment where they can play.Name: Dumb Cane or Dieffenbachia

"This plant that we have in our homes and offices is extremely dangerous! This plant is common in Rwanda. It is a deadly poison, most specially for the children. It can kill a kid in less than a minute and an adult in 15 minutes. It should be uprooted from gardens and taken out of offices. If touched, one should never touch his/her eyes; it can cause partial or permanent blindness."

There is only one problem here. People who sincerely give to Church projects know the benefits and blessings attached. Unfortunately, many do not even believe in God talk of his blessings, so they keep shouting and complaining. How I wish I had up to One Billion Naira in my account right now, I will close the account for this project.

Religion / Re: What Does The Bible Say About Make-up? by raffite: 2:10pm On Jun 18, 2013
They say sin is not in dressing or makeup but in the heart. But I say to you, watch your heart cos it will ultimately determine your outward appearance. When heart is corrupt and has gone worldly, you will defend whatever it shows on the outside as the true way to appear.
