u should ask yourself "what if I were the one".
The guy lives abroad. In a country where there is no BVN centre.
If u were living in osogbo and they say the only BVN is south west is in lagos, i am sure u would not have done BVN till now. Not to talk of when they that there is no BVN centre in Nigeria that the closeat BVN to Nigerians is in Angola. How are u going to do? And be reminded that many Nigerians abroad dont have their complete papers yet, so they cant even travel out.
.
If is stay is legal then no problem. The basis are obvious you only need to visit Nigeria embassy for more clarification on how to do your Bvn.it was clear to all and sundry that diaspora citizens should do theirs and it was on that the time was extended. We can not continue to tolerate illegality on the basis of sentiment. My grandmom did hers my aunty abroad did hers.he has no excuse except he his a fraud. For good 3 years he his still given an excuse.

We would have developed if obeying the law was part of our culture. It is a simply directive given since 2014.if you have not done yours till now ,means it either you were in prison since or you are part of those the system is trying to fish out for non compliance. All this sentiment using cabal should not touch your cash is bullcrap.over their you obey their directive evening if it wrong legally or otherwise. The AGF needs to mop up all this fund immediately before this thieving director and yahoo boys divert the money.
It time we pay for not obeying the laws.

PoliticsRe: 2019: Sule Lamido Begins Huge Mobilisation In South East For Presidential Campai by rafindo(m): 1:16pm On Oct 01, 2017
Does this man know is geography at all.I pity the kind of leaders Nigeria get.Anambra bigger than kano or jigawa is the stupidity of the century. Kano land mass alone is bigger than 3 south east put together. If I follow is logic.Niger state with 19 LGA Is bigger than all the south east state put together with a landmass of 78,567 km sq. All sou east put together is 29,980km sq.even mokwa LGA is almost the size of anambra as a state.
Rhode island state in US does not clamour for the same share of resources like the Alaskan, Texas, Washington, California and Florida.
Landmass is what countries are built upon .we should clamour for good governance first from our governors

menstrualpad:
..
FORMER governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido

has become the first presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to have an intimidating campaign office in the South East for the 2019 elections.

The magnificent two-storey edifice consisting of six flats and adjoining offices located at Umuokpu area of Awka, was donated to the presidential hopeful by an indigene of the community, Chief Arize Ekelem, who is a close confidant of Lamido.

It is expected that Alhaji Lamido would personally commission the campaign office when he visits the South East in the next few months.

Ekelem said during an inspection of the office that he decided to throw his weight behind Lamido's ambition after seeing the magnificent work he did in Jigawa State as governor.

He said: “I have been to Jigawa where he governed for eight years and I saw the massive development he brought to that state. I have visited many states in Nigeria and there is none to compare with Lamido's achievements in terms of provision of democracy dividends to the people. If Nigerians can realize that what we need is someone who can unite the people and develop the country, Sule Lamido is the right person.

Lamido has a humble background and that is why he understands the needs of the less privileged.” He said that apart from his organization which has branches in all parts of the country, there were other groups working hard to actualize the Lamido presidential ambition. One of such groups, he stated, is the Anambra Central Assembly (ACA), comprising professionals and entrepreneurs in the senatorial zone, adding that members of the group have decided to support Lamido fully.

Ekelem said that members of his group have also gone round other states in the South East, adding that they have identified with Lamido's presidential aspiration. The various churches, he stated, are also strongly supporting him as the people have been made to realize that he is the type of person Nigerians are looking for. According to Ekelem, “Nigeria's problem is neither Biafra agitation, nor Boko Haram or OPC. Our main problem is leadership.

Our problem is our inability to identify who will govern our country well. I strongly believe that Sule Lamido will develop Nigeria and ensure an enduring peace if he is elected the President. I am certain that if he is elected President, all these agitations will cease and hunger and poverty will also end. “Our economy will grow and the country will grow to become an industrial nation.

Standard of education will improve and unemployment will become a thing of the past. The way he transformed Jigawa is an indication that he can transform Nigeria if given the opportunity.”

“I believe that he has the capacity to be a good President and to show how serious we are in supporting his aspiration, we donated this property worth over N35million to be his campaign office in Anambra State. We have also procured two buses for the campaign and we are prepared to donate more. We are also planning to acquire campaign offices in other states in the South East to ensure that the campaign organization has a strong base in this part of the country.

“I am not doing this because I have so much money, but to show my readiness to support someone who has so much to offer to Nigeria. We already have a network set up primarily to support Lamido and through this, we will mobilize Nigerians to also support him.”

Ekelem, who said he knew Lamido through his contact with former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, expressed optimism that PDP would win the 2019 Presidential election because, according to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, had failed the nation. He added: “It is very certain that PDP will win the 2019 election. All the problems PDP had are over and all those problems have been transferred to APC.

The way Nigeria is at present, I don't think that many people in APC can have the courage to tell Nigerians to vote for the party in 2019

“APC has done its best, but its best is not good enough for our country. We want God-fearing person to come and provide the much needed leadership so that the country can move forward. On Igbo man becoming the president of Nigeria, Ekelem said: “It will take a very long time for an Igbo to be president of Nigeria. What Igbo should be after is not who among them will be president. Rather, we should fight to get another state from this zone. If can get the state, we should then fight to get more local governments.

“It is unfair for one state in the north to have 44 local governments when the five South East states put together have less than 100 local governments. As small as Jigawa is, it has 29 local governments; as big as Anambra is, it has only 21 local governments. So, if one looks at it from this perspective, one will discover that it will take Igbo a very long time to produce a Nigerian president, unless God, in His infinite mercy, intervenes in the matter.
“The question is, if an Igbo man is nominated by his party, will the Northerners be prepared to vote for that Igbo man? Will the Yoruba's vote for Igbo? So Igbo should first of all put their house in order. How can we get the president when some youths are busy talking of Biafra? If we want to govern Nigeria, Igbo people should come home and develop their area. In other parts of the country, Igbo are dominating commercial activities, while their home states are under developed. Other Nigerians, like the Hausa's and Yoruba's, will always go back to invest in their states once they make money elsewhere.

“Those other tribes would also unite to work out how to get the leadership of the country but in the case of Igbo, they are scattered and disunited. My belief is that we can get it after Lamido, but we will start now to prepare for it because power is not given on a platter of gold.”

Foreign AffairsUS Secretary Of Health To Pay For Chartered Flight by rafindo(op): 9:27am On Sep 29, 2017
This is how are sane society behaves but in Nigeria because of our narrow mindedness we believe the government should not be held accountable

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price has promised to repay the nearly $52,000 cost of his seats on private charter flights, as President Donald Trump reportedly fumed over the penchant of aides to hop on private jets. The expensive obsession, which had cost the US treasury several millions of dollars, is also drawing sharp scrutiny from Congress, according to Reuters. Tom Price, US Health secretary to pay for chartered flights “Today, I will write a personal check to the U.S. Treasury for the expenses of my travel on private charter planes,” said Price, a former member of Congress, in a statement. “The taxpayers won’t pay a dime for my seat on those planes.” Price was one of a handful of senior officials in President Donald Trump’s administration put on the defensive over reports about their use of charter flights and government aircraft, sometimes for personal travel, when they could have flown commercial for less money. Price told Fox News on Thursday that Trump had spoken to him about the matter and was not happy. Asked if he retained Trump’s confidence, Price said he worked at the president’s pleasure. Washington media outlet Politico reported that Price had taken at least two dozen private charter flights since May at a cost to U.S. taxpayers of more than $400,000. Politico in a report on Thursday night said the White House had approved the use of military aircraft for other trips by Price to Africa, Europe and Asia in the spring and summer that cost taxpayers more than $500,000. “Secretary Price will write a personal check to the U.S. Treasury for $51,887.31,” a spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Human Services said on Thursday. Price is paying his individual share of the charter flight cost, an HHS official said. Price said earlier on Thursday he believed he retained Trump’s confidence. Senior U.S. government officials travel frequently, but are generally expected to keep the costs down by taking commercial flights or the train when possible. Price, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin were all in the spotlight for their travel habits. Politico reported late on Thursday that Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke took a charter flight from Las Vegas to Glacier Park International Airport in Montana in June that cost $12,375. The route is served by commercial flights. Zinke also took charter flights between St. Croix and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands in March and used a military aircraft to travel to Norway in May, according to Politico. “As with previous interior secretaries, the Secretary traveled on charter flights when there were no commercial options available,” Interior Department spokeswoman Heather Swift said in a statement. “All travel is pre-approved by the ethics office before booking and the charter flights went through an additional level of due diligence.” Republican Senator Chuck Grassley urged Trump in a statement ”to emphasise to cabinet secretaries the necessity of using reasonable and cost-effective modes of travel in accordance with federal restrictions.”

SportsRe: Community Ownership Of Football Clubs In Nigeria by rafindo(m): 12:50pm On Sep 20, 2017
The former LMC boss has called on communities where NPFL clubs are based to work towards taking over from the government for effectiveness.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the League Management Company (LMC), Nduka Irabor has challenged communities where NPFL clubs are based to see the teams in their enclave as theirs and strive to provide for their needs so that the state government could gradually hands off ownership of the teams.

Besides MFM, ABS, FC Ifeanyiubah and Remo Stars all other NPFL clubs are owned by state government and this is contrary to the FIFA statutes which frown at government involvement in football.

Irabor who was the immediate past Chairman of the LMC told the media that community ownership of football clubs would make the bond between the teams and the communities in which they reside stronger because the people in the area will see them as their own and work towards their progress.

“I want to state that communities’ ownership of football clubs will help the league in Nigeria to thrive. The community will see the clubs as their own and they will do everything to keep the clubs intact,” Irabor told the media.

“There are so many problems bedeviling teams that are owned by the State government and besides the fact that they have issues with funds and others the World football governing body does not support the arrangement too.

“We must make our league to work and the best bet is communities’ ownership of the teams because it will enable the government to hands off ownership of teams.”

Their is nothing like true federalism any where in the world.officially we have 4 countries in the world that are federal republic. They are
The federal republic of Germany
The federal republic of Brazil
The federal republic of Nigeria
The united state of America
