The Igbo found in Benue are: Umuezeokoha, Umuezeoka, Oriuzor, Umuoghara, Amaekka and Amaezekwe all in Ezza communities, Izzi, Ezzamgbo and Effium, these are the people who would have been in present-day Ebonyi State but due to the fact that the Nigerian government then carved them into Benue in order to suppress the population of the East.

Apart from the Ezza-speaking clan, particularly the people of Umuezeokoha that has over 300 villages, if you are to calculate the number of Igbo-speaking villages in Benue State, outside Umuezeokaoha, you would be talking altogether about over 600 villages.

Three of the biggest markets in Benue are all in the Igbo-speaking part. The markets are Inikiri Ichari, Iddah, Iduokpe. There are also some Igbo speaking Idoma towns in Benue State.

I ended the relationship with My ex due to her bad characters. And then I later got married.
While we were dating I wanted to get my ex a place for her to stay due to d fact Dat she doesn't have anywhere to go when she graduates.
Both of her parents are divorced and remarried with kids. She can't go back to her father's house because he harrases her sexually and his wife his not welcoming. She can't go to her mother's house cus her stepfather won't agree. During d time we were dating she was staying with me for this reason but as soon as she got into school her character changed so I ended it all.
Now think of her predicament I'm thinking of getting her d house I promised so as for her not to go back to her dad's house. I have the money to do it that's not a problem.

Whenever the South East talks about the need to create a state or two in the East to sort the injustice in this area , since the other regions have more, they're quickly reminded of how there are no resources to carter for already existing ones. All of a sudden, chronic state looters will start vomiting all sorts of crafty reasons to make the case for more states look out of place and greedy.

But if you ask the same people arguing against more states because of meager resources to remove one state each from their zones together with some local governments too, so we can "cut down on government expenses", they will all disappear! They don't want to hear that! Vehemently, they refuse... Essentially, they want to keep their states and Local governments, while preaching to the East to have less. Cunning much?

This is how 2 states in the North,(Kano and Katsina) ended up having almost the same amount of Local Governments with the whole South East... Kano municipal alone has almost the same amount of LGAs with Bayelsa state!

The Awka City Stadium, built by the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano's administration was officially inaugurated, yesterday, December 28, 2021.

Governor Obiano while performing the official commissioning ceremony, where he also kicked off the football match between Community Secondary School, Isuofia and Christ Redeemer's college, Amesi where CRC, Amesi, won with two goals to nothing and took home the sum of five hundred thousand Naira (500,000) naira prize.

In his remarks, the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano thanked the good people of Anambra state for their overwhelming support to his government and expressed hope that the athletes by taking advantage of the new facilities will attain greater heights in the sporting world.

The governorship candidate of the PDP in the just concluded Anambra 2021 Gubernatorial election, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, in his remarks, commended the efforts of the governor and expressed his happiness over the committment of the government to the holistic development of the Awka capital city.

Final matches between Community Primary School, Orsumenyi, and Eri Primary School, Aguleri; Aguata High School, Aguata and Father Joseph memorial school, Aguleri were played. Community Primary School, Orsumenyi took home the sum of Two hundred and fifty thousand Naira (250,000) for winning the under 13 category. Aguata High School also took home one million naira (1000000) for emerging the champions in the under 17 male category. Other consolation prizes including trophies and medals were given to players.

Other side attractions to the event included a mixed 4X100m relay race in which Aniocha , Awka south, and Aguata local government areas took the first, second and third positions respectively and were awarded accordingly.

Also present at the event were the Wife of the governor of Anambra state, Dr. Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, Anambra State Deputy Governor elect, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Chief Sen. Victor Umeh, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, James Eze, Commissioner for Children and women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, Commissioner for Housing, Arc. Michael Okonkwo, Anambra State House of Assembly Member representing Njikoka II, Ven. Barr. Amaechi Okwuosa, MD/CEO, ACTDA, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, ES ASHIA/SPAD on Health among others.

1) 4 semi-autonomous Regions
2) Each Region had resource control
3)Each Region kept 50% of whatever accrued within it, paid the Federal Government 25% and the rest 25% went into a General account that all the Regions including the Federal Government could use for developmental purpose.
4)Because the 4 Regions were semi-autonomous, it made the centre week and prevented any Region from dominating another

Today, we have

1)36 states that have little or no resource control
2) A powerful Federal government that now pays the states
3)Fiscal federalism is dead

How did we get here? It was Gowons promulgation of Decree 14 on the 27th of May 1967 that caused it all. It was this same decree that forced Ojukwu to declare the Eastern Region a seperate country called Biafra 3 days later and this led to the war. It should also be added that decree 14 was a violation of the Aburi agreement that both Gowon and Ojukwu signed in Ghana.


Decree 14, abolished the 4 Regions, replaced them with 12 states, took away resource control, reversed fiscal responsibility and made the federal government all powerful

It was seen for what it was by Ojukwu and the Eastern Region, a calculated attempt by Gowon and his Northern cohorts to dominate everyone.

Suddenly, the North that was one Region, had 6 states while the South that was 3 Regions had to share 6 states between them. This effectively made the North the dominant partner[/b]


Subsequent military administration's led by Northerners subdivided the 12 states Gowon created, and gave the North more states and local governments than the south

Today, the North that was one Region has overwhelming advantage over the South that was 3 Regions

1) The North has 19 states while the south has 17

2)Of the 109 Senators in Nigeria, the North has 59 while the south has 50

3) Of the 360 house of rep members, the North has 191 while the South has 169

4) Of the 774 Local Governments in Nigeria, the North has 419 while the South has 355

This undue advantage given to the North, starting with Gowons decree 14 which changed the structure of Nigeria, is what led to war and created the mess Nigeria is in today

The reason i hate some of you calling yourselves the real Igbos and why i totally reject the notion of an independent Biafra is because you guys are too short sighted for even a goat.

Your region has been denied a standard international airport. Something that every other region in Nigeria has. You have been told to build it because the FG does not have resources to build a truly international standard airport in your region . Since they know that the cost will scare any state government from attempting it. They know that if none of your airports achieve true international standard, no American or European airline can ever serve any airport in your region.

Yet u see your people here being so shortsighted in seeing this airport as an Anambra thing instead of rejoicing that soon there will be an airport in your region that can attract international airlines from Asia., Europe and America . The jobs that this airport will create will be filled by every Nigerian including Yoruba, Tiv, Fulani, Hausa, Igala or Efik. Not to mention Enugu and Imo. Today, the Asaba airport taxi services are dominated by Yoruba and Ibibio people. Go and check it and verify.
