From what I have learnt in the past years, provide only necessary and relevant information in your application. Disclosing your brother is currently studying in Canada has no bearing on your application. With regards to lumpsum, hopefully, someone in the house can clarify. If you are employed, you can provide your employment details and bank statements in addition to your dad's info. Marcgrace: Hello! Happy Sunday @ Everyone.
What amount is considered a lump sum from ₦600,000 naira ? My dad is my sponsor, but do I still need to include my employment contract, employment letter, and study leave letter from my Employer? I have a brother currently studying in Canada. Should I mention this in my SOP? Should I also mention that I have previously been denied a student visa? |

Personally, I stopped using the old portal after IRCC launched the new portal. I only stated that I used the new portal, I didnt say it hastened the study permit application process. Jeboy: Who started this trend that portal affects the outcome of Canada Application? Ensure you do the needful and forget about leveraging old or new portal to improve your chances. |

@kenny4real68, @Preadator188 post is the absolute truth. Please apply for visit visa for them, let them visit and go back pending when you or your spouse get a proper job. The monthly expenses no be joke o Predator188: This is huge expenses you will spend over 40 million naira a year or over 3500 dollars a month for living expenses in canada 🇨🇦 just to bring 3 family members to stay with you without work permit for support and without province health card another expenses getting a health insurance even though some hospital don't recognise health insurance ..
This country is terrible on study permit without a family member on work permit and you have to pay school fees. |

Lyndaa22: Good day all, I need an urgent advice on my application. I applied by myself on the 10th of September 2020 and my application was rejected on the 17th of September. I was confused because before making the application I showed a lot of experienced agents all my Document and they did some adjustment and they said it was perfect, I was like 90% sure of my profile. After my first application was rejected, I was really sacred so I went through an agent in Canada and she reapplied for me. The time line of my 2nd application goes like this: Application date - 27th September 2020 Biometrics - 2nd of November 2020 NSE request – 12th November 2020 NSE submitted -24th November 2020 Additional document request (Employment letter) – 14th January 2021 Additional document submitted - 15th January 2021 And it was the last I heard from them, no updates at all. I haven’t done a medical upfront although I booked for 18th of February 2021 with the hope that I would have a medical request before then. My agent has sent couple of mails to them, I personally sent webforms but no update yet. My major issue is that I have paid my first term school fees because the school gave a deadline (school fees can be refunded if visa was denied). Lectures resumed on the 18th of January with online classes, because of time difference and work (I work in a bank), I haven’t been attending classes, I just try to read on my own and it hasn’t really been easy for me because the write tests every day, I have missed a lot of test if not all. I tried to defer but the school said they don’t defer and I can’t quit my job yet because if things don’t work out as planned, I would be jobless and you know what it means to be jobless in this country. Honestly this has been a really rough phase for me, I am so confused, I don’t know what to do anymore, my agent keeps telling me to have patience that it would come but the more I wait the more I miss a lot from school which would definitely affect my grades at the end. Is there anything I can do about this situation? Its draining me mentally. You can do this. It might be hard, but you can. Be courageous and press on. You would receive a response soon, hopefully. I had to work n study last semester, so I know just how it is. Please take the advice of the learned colleagues, do your medicals n send emails. |

Baphil: Hello house, Please I need answers on the following questions:
1. If someone who is applying for student permit, has two children and one is a US citizen; does she still need to add that child in her application?
2. If not, how does she add her US citizen child to her application? How does she notify IRCC about the child. Does she need to notify them?
3. Does this child need to do medical test too?
Thank you in anticipation of your responses. I am no expert but applying with two kids is a very long shot. You would need to write a very convincing SOP on why they must go with you, and fully demonstrate about how you intend to cater for them while you study. Response to your questions: 1. Yes. you need to indicate the children accompanying you, including the US citizen. 2. I guess this has been answered in 1. 3. Yes, the accompanying child would take medical test and might be required to take biometrics if the child is of a certain age. |

I got refused study permit in 2018. I am trying to apply again. In the denial letter I got in 2018, there was a UCI number on it. Should I use this same number in filling out my IMM forms? or does IRCC give every application a UCI number?? Yes. |

Yyum: Hello everyone , Thanks to everyone taking time to answer questions on this platform, more blessings. I am about to fill my application and want to know what to fill in the questionnaire with this question “Are you accompanying a family member that has status in Canada or as recently been approved to come to Canada?” My reason- I gave birth recently in Canada, making my child a citizen and I want my child to come with me. I tried yes as an option and then I’m required to provide proof of relationship
Please advice on what to do,thanks. Select yes. That your child is accompanying you. You can tender his birth certificate, establishing that you are his mother. |

Hello Everyone,
Please I gave a response sometime ago with respect to the submission of IELTS report that I would like to update.
I cant seem to find the post.
You are to request for your hard copy test report form from your exam centre and scan same to the IRCC.
I hope this helps. I just got my test report form today because I called them up to request for it.
Best regards, |

Good Morning House,
Please I need some advice.
I uploaded my IELTS result using a screenshot from the British Council website, although the website shows that the Test report from has been sent to Visa Section Nairobi.
I received a message from IRCC that they have received the documents I sent. For the past two weeks, my portal shows they are reviewing the documents.
Please can anyone share their experience? |
