SideHustle: Hey, how have you been spending the stay-home period? ...
This is a vital question to ask in this season of covid-19.
We asked Tunmise, a former participant at the last internship last year, and her answer was something like this;
The first part of the stay at home period, March, April to June 2020, was pure cruise; I kept watching movies, eating, sleeping, gisting...basically doing the same thing day in, day out.
But when June came knocking and Covid19 still in full rampage, I knew I had to give myself brain - What could I do to improve myself? What new skill could I learn? I started searching for opportunities to learn something - Anything at all!
It was during this time, I found out I had the skill of writing content. This led to that, and somehow, I arrived at the sidehustle internship. Since then till now, I've kept improving as a content writer and currently, I'm part of the content team for a growing opportunity website. (This opportunity, I came across via sidehustle internship)
So, What/Who is sidehustle ...? sidehustle is a talent management company, that supports global businesses and start-ups by providing them with the right young African talents & remote teams.
In a bid to do this i.e. raising the right talents, they've created a platform that provides undergraduates and fresh graduates with free internship opportunities.

Here's what you stand to gain as an intern in sidehustle As an intern in this sidehustle internship program, you get to; Master skills that are increasingly on the demand. Earn money using those skills. Develop yourself. Add skills to your CV. Meet and network with a lot of people, amongst many others.

it will be very hard to see a Chartered Accountant with such years of experience for that salary in Lagos. even fresh graduate with ICAN go just manage the money and leave ur organization as soon as he/she sees better offer. |

bahaushe1: The national leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has directed it's branches nationwide to conduct congress meetings tomorrow Monday 21st December.
The meetings are expected to vote on a referendum to either extend or suspend the ongoing nationwide strike embarked upon by the union since March this year.
Remember the union had a 5 hour closed door meeting with government representatives on 17th December.
Details later...... Please, can you brief us the outcome of the last five hours closed door meeting ? did it end in deadlock or why was the outcome not reveal? |

you can bro, with determination, commitment, mixing with right people, getting of relevant materials and prayer for wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
I'm a testimony to this. I could remember I didn't know accounting in my secondary school days and I wanted to study accounting and with the help of all those mentioned above, I knew accounting that I I was the 8th best candidate out of around 260+ in my poly days.
I'm now a finalist in public university with good academic standing and I'm done with ICAN. Glory be to God.
IF you believe you can, you're half way there. |

I could see most people supporting ASUU on this matter are not students. so they don't know what it takes to be at home this kind period.
they are either ASUU members or those that experienced strike while in school. so they want us to feel what they felt in their school days.

Education › Solution To ASUU Strike by Ramsey19(op): 10:52am On Dec 10, 2020 |
for the strike to come to and end soon, since FG said they have paid ASUU members salaries up to June and nothing was said by ASUU to negate that, so I will suggest ASUU should resume back to work by giving government ultimatum on when the remaining agreements will be implemented. And if FG refuse to meet up with the ultimatum, then we will know who the true lier is. |

is FG still taking steps to get CONUA registered this month? because with the lingering of this ASUU strike, getting CONUA registered on time is one of the means to ensure lectures commence in public universities by January. |
Education › Re: ASUU: FG Lied, We Didn’t Reach Agreement To Suspend Strike Dec 9 by Ramsey19: 10:28am On Dec 10, 2020 |
I was expecting ASUU to deny that FG didn't pay their salary up to June 2020 but nothing of such was said. it's becoming clearer who the perpetrators are. |
