Evolution is a product of mutations of species, adaptation and survival of the fittest. There are many strains of humanoids that did not survive. So from the evolutionist perspective it is even possible to have more races than we already have. It is possible for negros to evolve even further and produce a new race for example. So race of our origin is inconsequential to an evolutionist.
Where the problem lies is to discard evolution and say we came from a single parent and yet end up with so many different races.
