The problem of the EPL in Europe just like Mou, pep and other managers have said is, the too much competition and FA stupidity within the league.


The FA have refused to help teams that make to the later stages of the European competitions. just take Man United fixtures at the time they will be facing psg next year. The English FA will never bring some of the matches forward or bring them back just like is obtainable in Spain and Italy.


Now you go to the issue of lack of mid season break which is caused by the top much competitions to play in. An average EPL team will play in three competitions, the ones in Europe will play in four. all these make the players get fatigued by February and March when the European competitions get tougher. that is when you see an EPL table topping team winning 1:0 and struggling to win games.

this is why any EPL makes it far in Europe will hardly ever be in the discussion for EPL title win.

I can bet with anyone now that LIVERPOOL will never make it far in Europe this season if they continue to be at the top by March.

Barca and Madrid have a busier January/February than any EPL team because of the cola Del Rey matches but they are wise enough to use their second teams in some stages of the competition...
