Before I get into my epistle, let me just say that 'people who don't come back to give landing gist' don't do it intentionally. There are many many reasons why. Anyway, to the gist:
Congratulations on your baby! Such gladdening news.

Thank you for sharing your story too and for the tips.

May the land be your oyster indeed.

please has anyone attempted going for passport collection without a text or call from VFS confirming your passport is ready? I want to try my luck tomorrow, i urgently need my passport and submitted it since 7th of November...any thoughts on if this is a wise decision?

I landed in Ontario because I didn't have much on me to book flight to Prairie region and don't want to touch POF until I land to avoid stories that touch.

Also, my wife was able to arrange somewhere for us to stay temporarily in Toronto while we sort ourselves out. I don't have anybody in Prairie region.

Hope that satisfies your curiosity
Thank you for even bothering to answer, make sense really

BORING LANDING GIST

.
Thank you for the boring gist loool.

Congrats again!

I think I'm liking the idea of just sending food by cargo to save stress. A friend also warned me to not try the overloading on bags route cos with children it can get complicated.

I'm a little curious about why you chose to stay in Ontario if you're still heading to the prairies anyways ( I hope I'm not prying too much).

May the land favour you indeed.

More landing gists pls...

Hi Guys , how can I open a Canadian bank account from Nigeria ?
During my information session with IOM, someone said they were able to open an account with Scotia bank from Nigeria.

They were also able to make transfers into the account though I think there's a restriction on making withdrawals till you land.

You could do a google search to confirm this though.

My son went to WAEC to get his certificate sent to WES. I think we spent almost 25k. The instruction to do this is at the entrance to the receptionist office at WAEC yaba. Or just speak with the receptionist. Opposite WAEC office, you need to do an affidavit, the court people are there, for a fee with your passport photo. You have to pay 10k to the WAEC finance office and buy 2 envelops that will be addressed to WES with your Ref no printed on top(Very impprtant). Then you need to pay I think N9 500 for courier to Canada. Once you submit this to the WAEC office. They will sort your certificate and send. If you a copy you can bring along to help ease the search. Once WAEC does its part, UPS will pick up and you will get a message with a tracking number to know when it will arrive Canada. Then you can log on to your WES platform and check update. Note that WES will srnd a letter to WAEC to verify. Once they receive WAEC response, I believe then do the needful. You can track this. Once you hear a letter has been sent to WAEC. Pray that they respond early. All the best

@ Nqewmum0615:

Congratulations Love, blushing aplenty.

@ bolded: who says you cannot? I did, visa has been issued because i can see the details on my CIC page, just awaiting pick up mail. You only need to take a new set when leaving so that you can use that for PR card application.

Photos: Studio 24. The hard copies we did have expired in the wake of this delay. We have to retake them.

Send me your research findings sharply grin> I am not re-inventing any wheels that Newmum0615 has invented.

I even decided on the school my son will go to if we were ever able to get a house within the boundary of the school board. I have researched and researched, now it feels like I already live in Canada (except for the cold. grin). I appreciate the Planning for Canada session I was privileged to attend. It’s a pity that the opportunity may end soon. It really helped with my planning.

@Randomsue I am still trying hard not to be surprised that you are a lady. All the while, I thought I was interacting with a guy. Congratulations again my dear.
My PM has been jammed all week with mails from sweethearts asking after me. I appreciate you all for the concern. It made me teary-eyed and I had to run back. It has been one hell of a period for me but God is in charge.

Hi guys, this post ita work no b here ooo..pls am currently filling the travel history section and I have some clarifications to make.
I travelled to ghana by road december, passing through benin and togo.. am I to fill benin and togo, since I just passed through..I have the benin and togo stamps on my passport...please advice
If your passport was stamped in the transit process, then it is safer to state them and state the reason for travel as transit. You would also be required to upload the stamped pages.

Google was my best friend when I was filling mine

Hi Ella,

Combining more than one NOC is fine as long as it falls under category A,B or 0 (Customer service/call centre is category C so it will not count)

Ella99:
Hello All,

I am new here and have some questions please. I will appreciate any and all responses.

Thing is, i have over 5years of work experience but they are all in different job fields; Customer service/call centre rep, marketing (bank) and currently admin....My marketing experience is 2years 9months and i am not sure IRCC will recognize that as 3years so it may lower my CRS points. Although i had training school before the bank job for 4months and i received stipends during this period but i heard the bank will not issue me a letter for that period.

Now my question is, can i combine 2 different NOCs or do i use 1 NOC for all my experiences so that i can at least have 3years work experience and then i'll just get reference letters from all the employers?

I'll appreciate the responses so i can start planning ahead.

Thank you all.

Thanks dear, God has been faithful.

Regarding the stress, I'm really trying not to think about it cry cry Want to use this time to find out as much info as possible so I'll be well prepared. I'm yet to read up on the experience of anyone who landed and had a baby soon after
