From the posts, It has been confirmed that the buyer actually paid half of the amount to OP, but my view is that OP, you made a mistake in the first instance of accepting to take the Gen to the park for and send to his destination. If he can't have someone that could have come to check it out, pay and deliver to him then why bother yourself with all those stress.
