I know of a guy that mounted a very big woofer at the back of his car booth (exactly the size of his car booth) just b'cos, he's tired of carryin heavy duty loads of his wife and mother. Now, whatever that could not fit in their hand bags, are left behind, no matter how important!

The poster is not really sincere with his wife and with is NLers!!! , its like he has been cheating on her all these while and now feels if he allows this lady maid and "yawa come gas", the whole truth, of what happens outside, etc will blow out and they will see that he is not what he claims to be.

Poster, its all left to u to be sincere to your darling wife

Another thing is, the wife may want to use that as a bait to confirm some things, hmmmm!!!! Women of today are wiser than your think. Since the maid has been with the family for so long, she may be planted as a stooge, to get the truth

I hope its not what am thinking shaaaa!!!!
It's DEFFINITLY not what you think, and your theory is way OFF the topic!

Ujujoan:
The issue for me  is 'is he right by being attracted to a teenager or not? To the extent that he can't control himself'? I don't think he is and the only way to redeem himself is to ask himself why a little girl can threathen his marriage because that is NOT normal. His poor wife on the other hand needs to know that her husband is lusting after little girls. She deserves to know that her marriage is in trouble!

But even if he's too ashamed to tell her, I think she deserves more than an insensitive 'I don't like her'!
No doubt, some pipu thinks that 1's som1 says "I DO" in front of the alter, he or she is nomore humaned by blood.

So, are you tryin to tell me that your boyfriend doesn't feel lust when he sees other attractive and sexy gals passin by?

@poster.
I am a married woman and i understand your plight. You know your wife more than any other person. If she wont understand your honest explanation them stand by your NO. She'll get over it after a few days. Men need to be a bit firm in dealing wit their wives cos she'll blame you when things go wrong. Dont mind these single Nls. You cant give a dog a born to guard. Man is very unpredictable. Dont fall 4 any blackmail. Try n help her with the chores as much as you can.
God bless you my sista, I wish you a happy married life!

CC, ok O, I hear you, but, Do you think she doesn't know the risks/implications involved in havin a housemaid (not to talk of a sexy sweet 18 with staight pointed Ara)? She knows, and she even knows the reason of the Op refusin the housemaid, but, she just wants to hear a reason from the Op, and I guess that's all what you meant and not for the Op to say NO, without no tangible reason/explanation for it.

The below is what @Aysometin said on one of her quote, and I believe it's the truth and nothin but the truth:

"I quite appreciate him not telling his wife the real reason because we women tend to replay such words and use it against our men till eternity". . . .CC, you can see she's makin a point here ba?

But CC, I was surprised when you said "Runin away from the problem is not always the best soultion".
It depends on the kind of problem, my sista, there'r problems that one would need to stand and fight/look for an alternative to solve, and there'r problems that one must RUN VERY FAR/AVOID for the sake of not getin hurt, harm, tempted etc (just like Dayo said earlier that, one must avoid beer parlour if he wants to stop drinkin). But in a case like this, my sista, we all are human being, esp, we men that YOU know even starrin at a pic of a sexy gal gets us sensitive, not to talk of seein that person right infront of us (married or not). And sometimes, it's VERY HARD to resist temptations like these (esp, when the housemaid is as described by the Op). The Op's wife should read the signs and follow it, don't tell me she doesn't know the reason of the said maids rejection (she's just curious of hearin it). The Op rejected the HM so the wife should just accepted it that way, and for peace to rain, all she needs to do is respect his husband's stance and say "Ok, if you don't like her, then, lets look for another", as simple as that, and live goes on!

olaeday:
@CC i got your points more dan dose dat are married. Telling his woman absolute truth is d sure way 2 move 4ward and d woman in question got 2 reason wit his hubby. Not every cases turn fight if truly she's matured nd reasonable (according 2 yoruba says: orisa je npemeji bii obirin ko denu). @paul, u hve acted wisely but I must tell you dat u re not a man enough if you cannot tell your wife wat u feel inside you. What kind of man are u and wat kind of father do u wanna be when u cannot call blue is blue and white is white. Chikenaa
My broda, you have made your point, but, there's also a sayin in Ibo language that says: "Oburo ifenine ka nwoke na gwa nwunye ya", meanin: It's not everything that a man tells his wife".
Do you think the wife also tells the husband everything that happens within her?

My broda, I don't think there's a problem on these topic atall. The Op doesn't like that gal (reasons best known to him), so the next step is to search for another housemaid, kowai!!

aysometin:
I am a woman and I am not too happy with some of the comments from the women.

Here is a man that is telling himself the truth and not decieving himself by saying he can withstand temptation.
He has studied the girl and has seen some traits that can pose as threats in the future.  He never said he was attracted to the girl from the interview but from her actions, he can smell danger.
Living under the same roof with a girl is very very different from seeing ladies outside. If she is out to get the man, she would do everything to make him fall. The men here are talking from experience.

If he accepts the housegirl now, the same ladies here would rain curses on him if he bows to temptations.
I quite appreciate him not telling his wife the real reason because we women tend to replay such words and use it against our men till eternity.

Stand your grounds sir and tell her you don't want the housegirl, if possible look for some flimsy excuse.
Like another poster suggested, get old women  to be your househelps.

The yoruba people say 'the soup we won't eat, we should avoid smelling it'. Prevention is better than cure
My sista, may the Almighty God bless abundantly with this wisdom write-up that you came up with. It's a lil piece of advice but the content in it is damn powerful than every other advice that I'v read on this thread, I love it!

RomanceRe: Child Out Of Wedlock by Ranoscky(m): 5:22pm On Dec 20, 2010
Havin a child out of wedluck does not neccessarily mean that the child born of wedluck parents would be more discipline and berra than the other. It wasn't meant to be that way but ish happens, you know (unwanted pregnancy)? So, he or she will also be takin care of by the 'out of wedluck' parents, same way as the child born of wedluck parents will also be takin care of by his or her wedluck parents. It's just that in the Nigerian tradition, it's not good to have a baby out of wedluck, and that is what we all are tryin to stick with!

But stil, how many couples in Nigeria today get married before havin children? undecided

Wey almost all our 9ja gals don get 1 pikin each for village, den l8r dem go dey form virgin/fine gals for city, RUBBISH!
i didn't know you guys in nairaland are all messed up. you see such sincerity and humility from a man whose story can be likened to that of kind David in the bible and you still talk crap? the reason for this season is Jesus and even he wasn't accepted in his home town Nazareth? hence why should GEJ be accepted. lets face it. Nigeria cant decide for her self and thats why God has to do the decision. this guy got to this position least qualified for it. its only fair to ask of direction. even in the days of old, king david still consulted his priest. the wisest man that ever lived. king solomon still consulted his priest. Adeboye is one of the men i respect most in Nigeria, but to have seen him with Ibori was such a let down. Jesus ordered for the weed to grow with the crops anyway, it all boils down to the issues of perfection. no  not one is perfect not even pastor adeboye. let him who has no sin be the first to cast a stone. look!!!!, all this goverment owes me is just 24hrs power. for all i care they can blow aso rock. ghana has power. iran, north korea, south korea, afghanistan, worn torn counties have power
go and read on atributes of a leader think alot can be found in GEJ such humility. if i were c in c, if adeboye wants to pray for me, i wonder what i would do. a leader is supposed to as humble to earth as GEJ. at time simplicity is always mistaken for stupidity. men. will i write forever? i tire oh. let this guy be. all you guys just saying nonsence,
Gog bless you broda, you talk well.

I think the statement below would pass for all those talkin trash about GEJ visitin a pastor for prayers!
At time, simplicity is always mistaken for stupidity.

The involment of her 'X-bf' is an evidence that she's not tellin the truth. Why seein the X at the first place? Even if truely it wasn't the X that ra-ped her, so long as he (the X) is also in question, then I think thats a strong evidence to hold on, and nothin much to say.
