Mark 11 never even tries to say the time, it withered. It only states the time at which the tree was seen.
While Matthew specifies when it happened.
Moreover, it is clear that they walked away after the tree was cursed, so they obviously didnt wait to see the changes.
And Mark then specifies they saw it the next morning.
