Dear Mr Oluwaseun Osewa,

I joined Nairaland in 2008 and that makes me a fairly old member. Before I joined this forum, I have been a guest since the forum was created in 2005! It was the fun, intelligence, enlightment, etc that were visibly seen on this forum that eventually made me to register at the time I registered!

Today, what do I see? Tribalistic and ethnic threads make front page within minutes they are created! Most of these threads are usually negative of the Igbo race!!! Does it mean NL is now a platform to paint a particular ethnic group in bad light? Is this the purpose of creating this forum? What are the mods doing about this ugly development? Some empty and unelightened folks make ethnic, tribal and derogatory comments, yet they don't place bans on them!

Mr Oluwaseun Osewa, if you and your mods feel that Nairaland should be a place where tribalism should thrive, where ethnic, racial and tribal threads should be making front page without these threads being locked or deleted, where people freely make tribal comments glaringly without anything being done, then I see no reason why there should be RULES guiding members!!!

I think you, Mr Oluwaseun Osewa and your mods, should do something about this because it is surely not boosting the image of your forum. Instead, it is spoiling the image of Nairaland!!! You can wipe off this mess by deleting any thread that paints another ethnic group in bad light or any threads that promotes ethnic discrimination!!! Creators of such threads should also be given an indefinite ban!

Ayiri's defection to APC is the best thing to have happened to the itsekiri people after March 28 presidential elections. We can now assert ourself better against marginalisation and injustice currently being meted to us in delta state.
I feel proud as an itsekiri man at this bold step of Ayiri.

Nigerians! Tribal politics!!!

The news of Ayiri Emami defecting to APC didn't surprise me. Being a true son of Warri, I have always had my ears to the ground; I have gotten hints of his defection even before now! I blame Goodluck Jonathan and the Delta State governor, Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, for allowing touts like this man called Ayiri to parade themselves as PDP leaders in Delta State all this while!

People like Ayiri Emami are responsible for the numerous problems that have reared their ugly heads in the water ways and off-shore facilities, especially, in Escravos during this out-going administration!!!

Ayiri has been a man with no integrity as far as I can remember. Are these the type of leaders we need in the South-South region? Someone who praised PDP and pretended to campaign for Jonathan rigorously, only for him to defect to APC barely two weeks after the presidential election was lost by his former party (PDP).

Emami has no political idea! I wonder if he read the PDP's manifesto before joining when he did! Now that he has defected to APC, I still very much doubt whether he has understood the ideology of that party!!! The man is just a political prostitute!

Now that he is a member of APC and with so many of his type in APC, I seriously wonder what this CHANGE is all about!

Op, I think one should not be earning a particular amount of money as salary before he gets married. Just have a steady source of income flow, whether through job, business or trade! It is our 'chop-and-die', 'drink-and-die' and 'spend and die' in getting married, coupled with our unhealthy economy, that is making it seems like we must all stash millions before we marry!!!

Otega's winning is very slim. He is not popular among many Deltans.

I think Okowa still has chance of recording victory in the election despite Jonathan's defeat. Okowa should have his own machinery in the state.

But why is Otega so unpopular? And he didn't think of stepping down since he is from Delta Central as Great Ogboru?
