Former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-

from two international entities that had benefited
generously from doing business with her in Nigeria.
Lazard Freres was the company @NOIweala hired

said it was the reason Obasanjo gave her a boot.
As per GAVi, weeks before she left office in May
2015 she also paid GAVI $2.2m in questionable
refunds that the Federal Ministry of Health, EFCC

SOUTH EAST NIGERIA COAL HAVE THE CAPACITY TO GENERATE 5000 MEGA WATTS ABOVE NIGERIA'S CURRENT POWER GENERATION OF 4420 MEGA WATTS

The Federal Government has entered into partnership with an indigenous firm, One Nation Energy Limited, to generate 500 megawatts of electricity from coal. The deal will ensure the addition of 500mw of electricity to the national grid .The power station will be located in Enugu state .

The Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo who Spoke while signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with One Nation Energy in Abuja, yesterday said, that Nigeria is blessed with abundance of coal deposits, with Enugu being the hub.

‘‘ Its coal deposits are in three layers when compared with other parts of the country that have one layer of the resource deposited at a point, all across large stretch in eight other states,”he noted .

The Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, said the project would provide stable electricity that would be devoid of the challenge of sabotage by vandals who were bent on frustrating the government’s effort at providing adequate power

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, One Nation Energy, Dr. Uzoma Obiyo, said the coal-fired plant was being constructed in Enugu State as a result of the abundance of coal deposits there.

According to him, Nigerian coal deposits were very clean and that the processing of the mineral resource for energy delivery would not be cumbersome.

Obiyo noted that the South-East had enough coal deposits to deliver about 5,000MW electricity, adding that the zone was a veritable corridor of power supply to the other parts of the country.

The chairman, who signed on behalf of his firm, expressed the company’s commitment to the realization of the project and called on the government to help fast-track the procurement of necessary permits, license and approvals.

Mr. Kenneth i have already reserved a plot but i think you should allow people build the houses they want because you are not in their pockets. However, i think you should map out a BEAUTIFUL building designs for duplexes, bungalows and multi storey buildings so that which ever kind of house someone chooses to build, it will follow the building design of the estate. That is how it is been done in some estates i know to ensure uniformity.

Aba, Abia State should be your next location for estate developments.

BEFORE YOU TAKE THE RISKS TO MOVE OUT OF IGBOLAND (Anioma is part of Igboland) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COVERED ALL PARTS OF IGBOLAND BECAUSE IGBOLAND IS YOUR AREA OF ADVANTAGE.

Most people patronizing you stay outside Igboland, a good number stay in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja where there are numerous estates begging for clients with some of your ''expected potential clients" already having plot(s). The high level politics, bigotry/tribalism and dubious tendencies which are high in some of these areas when compared to Igboland should be taken into consideration.

Most people outside Igboland who are not able to go through the stress of searching, verifying, buying and preparing the land documents trust you to be able to perform these tasks efficiently, effectively and with integrity for them because they have known you for a long time online. Hence, the success of your estates lies in these areas of advantage which should be guarded jealously by you.

However, if you feel you are strong enough to storm Lagos/Ogun State or Abuja, I wish you goodluck and success.

YOU MUST ALSO CONTINUE TO SHOW A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF INTEGRITY SINCE MOST OF YOUR CLIENTS HAVE NOT SEEN YOU BEFORE AND ARE MOST LIKELY TO FLEE FROM YOU QUICKLY ONCE YOUR INTEGRITY IS BROUGHT TO QUESTION

spyder880:
Let us zone the estate like this;

Plots 1 t0 7 bungalows,
Plots 8 to 67 one floor duplexes and blocks of flats,
Plots 68 to 87 multi storey blocks of flats and all other types of buildings

Thank you all.

BPE compels Enugu Disco to handover Aba ring fence to APL

he Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) has compelled Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) to handover the contentious Aba ring-fenced territory in Abia state to Aba Power Limited (APL), BusinessDay can authoritatively disclose.
The formal handover will take place tomorrow September 10, at 11 am at the NERC office. The event will be witnessed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, dignitaries from Ministry of Power and office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
BusinessDay investigations also revealed that Interstate Electrics and EEDC are kicking against the impending hand-over of Aba ring fence to Aba Power Limited and are making last minute efforts to scuttle it through court injunction.
Aba Power and Geometric Power Limited have been engaged in a desperate tussle to excise the ring-fenced islands at Aba and Ariaria from the Enugu Distribution Company, arguing that existing agreements between the Federal Government and Aba Power Limited and Geometrics, give it the ownership of the very lucrative part of the South East electricity distribution market.
Enugu Electricity Distribution Company on the other hand, has continuously affirmed its rightful ownership of the Aba distribution area, insisting that the Aba area – Owerri-nta, Osisi Oma, Ogbor Hill, Factory Road, and Port Harcourt Road in Aba, Abia State – with its assets, is an integral part of the Enugu Disco coverage and cannot be excised.
The latest fire which the BPE appears to have stoked, may have drawn the EEDC and Geometric and Aba Power back to the trenches.
The $500 million Aba power plant has capacity to produce and distribute about 141 megawatts (MW) of electricity in its first phase, with new distribution lines, four new sub-stations and three rehabilitated sub-stations. Each plant is to produce 47 MW of power, supported by a 60 MVA transformer.
But EEDC has faulted this, saying Geometric Power’s inability to comply with Article 4.(1)(1)(a) 9 years (108 months) from the effective date of the lease agreement, constitutes a fundamental breach of the lease agreement.
Robert Dickerman, managing director of the company, stressed that Geometric ’s assignment of its interests in the lease to Afrigem Integrated Utilities Ltd without his company’s knowledge nor consent, is a breach of the Lease Agreement.
“We refer to Article 4(1)(1)(a) of the Lease Agreement which provides as follows: APL undertakes to distribute electric power to the ring-fenced Islands in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement to commence no later than 12 calendar months from the effective date. “We further refer to Article 8(b) of the Lease Agreement which provides as follows:
Penalty: In the event that APL fails to supply power to its customers for the period of 12 months continuously, NEPA may terminate this Agreement. We furthermore refer to Clause 1.3 of the Supplemental Agreement which provides inter-alia:
“The effective date of the Lease Agreement is hereby amended to the date of this Supplemental Agreement” The date of the Supplemental Agreement is 31st day of August, 2006.
“Your inability to comply with Article 4.(1)(1)(a) 9 years (108 months) from the effective date of the Lease Agreement i.e. 31stday of August 2006 is a fundamental breach of the Lease Agreement.
We refer also to Article 18.7 of the Lease Agreement and note that your purported assignment of your interests in the Lease to a certain Afrigem Integrated Utilities Ltd without our knowledge nor consent is a breach of the Lease Agreement.
“More grievously, your admitted challenge of the rights, interests and title of EEDC to the assets of the Lease Agreement in Suit No FHC/ABJ/CS/106/2013 Aba Power Limited & Anor v Bureau of Public Enterprises & Anor tantamount to repudiation of the lease by your good selves.”
Confirming the emergence of Afrigem as its new investors, Aba Power Limited, in a said letter signed by Agatha Nnaji, a director, said: “ We acknowledge with thanks, receipt of the various letters from the Bureau of Public Enterprises(“BPE”) to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (“NERC”), Enugu Electricity DistributionCompany Pie (“EEOC”), and our new investors, Afrigem Integrated Utilities Limited, all dated 12August 2015, wherein you unequivocally stated BPE’s firm stand and decision to uphold the contentsof the Lease Agreement and the Supplemental Lease Agreement”.
Enugu Electricity Distribution Company has taken its case to the Vice President, who oversees privatization, as the Chairman of the National Council on Privatization. It asked among others, the withdrawal of BPE’s letter of August 24, 2015 for the handover of the Abia – Ariaria section of EEDC network to a certain Afrigem Integrated Utilities Limited, in observance of the hallowed principles of Rule of Law accord due regard and respect to the ongoing determination of the matter by the Court of Appeal by restraining BPE and indeed any government agency from interfering with subject matter until final determination by the courts and the investigation of the Petition of EEDC to NERC with respect to APL Distribution License in accordance with the ESPR Act.
“ With due respect, we consider the BPE letter ill-advised for the following reasons:
The subject-matter thereof is still pending at the Court of Appeal in a suit in which BPE is a principal party. BPE’s letter seeks to over reach the Court of Appeal.
It is not to be believed that the Federal Government will lend its support to fragrant abuse of the rule of law or clear act of contempt of Court of Appeal.
Afrigem Integrated Utilities Limited is not a party to the transaction or the “Leases”. EEDC has never received any request for its necessary consent to any assignment of the rights in the lease (if any) to any third party including the said Afrigem Integrated Utilities Limited. Consent of the “Lessor is mandatory to any assignment or other alienation process under the Lease. EEDC has not given its consent to any assignment or other arrangement with any third party.
EEDC’s petition to NERC for the withdrawal of APL’s Distribution License which was copied to BPE is yet to be determined in accordance with ESPR ACT. BPE’s letter, seeks to over reach the outcome of that petition.

Imo legislature recommends expulsion of coca-cola company Insists coy must tender c-of-o for certification

– Posted 3 days agoPosted in: Economy, International News, Local News, Security

The State House of Assembly Imo state, on Tuesday August, 18, 2015 recommended that, the executive governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha should take urgent steps in revocation of the certificate of occupancy (c-of-o) for over 300 hectres of land allocated operations of the Nigerian Bottling Company, (NBC), manufacturers of coca-cola soft drinks, in Okigwe LGA, considering the excruciating economic down-turn ravaging the state.
Addressing the Assembly during interface with authorities of the NBC led by the operations manager, Mallam Aliyu Bako, speaker of the House of Assembly Rt. Hon.Acho Ihim, said that the move became most-imperative, in view of the fact that, the company, which occupied the vast land in Okigwe, Imo State for thirty (30) years, has not shown convincing will and desire to help address the unemployment scourge in the state among other bothering issues trailing the protracted delay to begin business by the multi-national firm.
During the summon, preceded by a cross-fire of “question and answer” session upon resolution on a house motion earlier moved by the member representing Njaba constituency, Hon. (Mrs) Uju Mbadiwe, the embittered Majority of the state lawmakers, who took a swipe in ensuring that authorities of the NBC present for certification, operational permit and other papers issued them on allocation of the land at Okigwe since 30years ago, maintaing that, if the company is not ready to begin work on the land, the certificate of occupancy be withdrawn as other companies are readily available to invest there, in the state.
The aggrieved lawmakers, notable among whom are, the deputy speaker Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo, (Nwangele) Hon. Chinedu Ofor (Onuimo),Hon. Kennedy Ibeh (Obowo),Hon.Obinna Egu (Ngor-Okpala), Hon.Mike Iheanetu (Aboh-Mbaise) Hon.(Mrs) Uju Mbadiwe (Njaba), Hon Ikechukwu Amuka (Ideato-south) Hon. (Mrs) Ngozi Obiefule (Isu) and Hon.Victor Onyewuchi (Owerri West); are of the view that since the multi-national company has long delayed in the installation of takeoff facilities and equipment, even in the face of the industrialization policy by the governor, Okorocha anchored on attracting business investors in the state for even development, the company should quit, to pave way for others willing to invest, so as to suit the state’s economic needs.
However, the NBC led by Mallam Boko had earlier informed the Assembly that it has plans to complete the ground-breaking operations on the site before the end of 2016, after which it begins installations of mega facilities that would be actualized in the year, 2020.
Consequently, the Assembly led by Speaker Ihim, set up an 8-man committee to mandate the company to redirect its master plan, tender evidence of land allocation or risk revocation. The committee is chaired by Hon. Ike Amuka and seven others.

List Of Commissioners, Other Appointees Ready Okorocha’s Nominees To Reach Imo Assembly Next Week

Posted by admin on Aug 17th, 2015

By the time members of the Imo State House of Assembly resume from their break next week, part of the challenges they are expected to tackle is the issue of screening of the governor`s lists for appointment into offices.
After keeping the residents of the state in suspense concerning those who would be part of his new cabinet, Trumpeta leant that the list is ready and waiting delivery to appropriate quarters for screening.
Part of the first duties Governor Rochas Okorocha discharged when he took oath of office for second tenure was the mass sack of all appointees including members of boards and commissions. To get the government running, few aides including positions for Secretary to the State Government and Chief of Staff were appointed. Two months after running the affairs of the state alone, Okorocha is said to have concluded arrangements to form his full cabinet.
Though, details of the names to become commissioners, special advisers , senior special assistants and special assistants have not been made public, but our reporter was informed that the list has been drawn and waiting for the next move.
Trumpeta was informed that the recent trip Okorocha made to overseas offered him the opportunity and conducive environment to settle and pencil down suitable names for the positions. It was also gathered that the governor also had time to interface with the speaker of the House, Acho Ihim who it was further gathered also made inputs into the new lists. The action of the governor is said to have put paid to activities of lobbyists who employed several fronts to gain his attention and that of family members for consideration for political offices.

NBC Begins Work on N80bn Mega Plant Project in Imo State

20 Aug 2015

Pays N33bn electricity bills between 2008 and 2013

By Amby Uneze in Owerri

Management of the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited has disclosed that work would soon commence on its mega plant project at Okigwe in Imo State which is expected to cost the company N80 billion.

Also, the bottling company had paid over N33 billion electricity bills it consumed in five years period.

This was disclosed by the Head of Public Affairs Communication, Mr. Uzo Odenigbo, during an interactive session with journalists in Owerri, the state capital. According to him, work on the proposed site should have commenced earlier, stating that despite the delay, arrangement had been concluded to start work on the 30,000 hectares of land soon.

He however denied the allegation of rift between the company and the state government over the said land, following the abandonment of the land after many years it was handed over to the NBC.

Odenigbo noted that when the plant becomes operational, it would create jobs for many Nigerians and reduce youth unemployment and restiveness in the country.

The company image maker also disclosed that the management had within the period of 2008 to 2013 paid Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) now Enugu Electricity Development Commission (EEDC) the sum of N33 billion as electricity bills.

He stated that the company had always settled its electricity bills anywhere they have their operational plants to avoid distraction despite having other sources of electricity.

Answering questions from journalists during the interactive session, he explained that the NBC operates 12 bottling plants in Nigeria in addition to 50
