O.D.B.:Hehehehehehe My thoughts exactly(well not in that extreme sense though) @ daporski Stop flying Chanchangi |
@Kobojunkie, can you give instances where your US congress has ever summoned their President? I can't seem for find any. Even when they wanted to "invite over" Condolezza Rice, so much trade offs were made behind the scene on what questions she could be asked and for how long she's to appear before them - if they had used the summons or subpoena it wouldn't have worked Beaf: When has congress ever summoned the US President, liar? Beaf: When has congress ever summoned the US President, liar? Beaf: Kobojunkie regularly tells fibs and porkies and gets creatively evasive when found out. From the above,I see no further need to waste my time with you |
"The government appointed him and has asked him to go. The President is under political pressure and not everything is classified and made public. When NSA asked that Buhari be invited for questioning, Jonathan kicked against it. When he suggested that some people be brought in and questioned, he kicked against it saying it is a ploy to scatter his government. So, really, it’s all about the president’s softness (weakness) but he appointed him and he has removed him"......Mike Awe,Azazi's media spokesman |
i'm not comfortable with this How is Sambo Dasuki, who is IBB's boy,the best candidate for the NSA job? Mr President, tread carefully, tread carefully I say |
ilugunboy: Ediootas....those fools in the lower house should first and foremost clear their leadership from the Faroukgate scandal mess they are enmeshed in.They dont even know they haven't got such powers to summon the president. This is why OBJ told them to their face during their inauguration that he would not brook any nonsense from anyone of them. Bunch of ignorant rogues and armed robbers |
Let them flee the state for Buhari and his boys |
This is why I always feel so disappointed anytime they capture any of these boko haramites alive, especially the well known ones that had been declared wanted. Why waste the nations resources feeding the murderers in jail and trial, why not just kill them "during a shootout with the This is where the AGF needs to get the police and other federal prosecutors on their toes to stop deliberately bungling the trials ab initio.Imagine how very demoralising it must be for the officers that may have been wounded or even lost colleagues in their attempt to capture the terrorists,to now leran that the same terrorists have been discharged and acquitted |
I'm not surprised cos between Alaafin,Nwobodo and Alao Akala alone, container loads of bleaching cream are used yearly ![]() |
He was a cultural icon and a gentleman, very approachable Rest in peace |
YES YES YES YES YES |
Do you think this mishmash of a story belittle the man? quote] El Rufai doeswnt need any mishmash of a story to belittle him,his mouth is suited for just that |
Kobojunkie: Again, where in the constitution did you read that NASS cannot summon the president. This is a clear and straight forward question. And simple too. There is nothing protective about the constitution as it is freely available, even online to the world to see.So you have googled the Nigerian constitution and yet you did not understand whatever it was you googled. Mr man, quit being ridiculous,I dont want to regret talking with you,I already have a measure of disppointment in you, dont make it worse. I hav told you the house lacks the constitutional powers to summon the president,if you doubt me,go and get a copy of the constitution and study it very well or to save time, just pick your phone and ask an informed person, but if you dont want to do either and stick to your wrong position,it's a free world. I rise |
hardywaltz: Dont be so sure. Even when the constitution is as clear as ABC people still heard to court to have the meaning of that ABC interpreted. So sure of what ?The level of naivety I come across on nairaland most times is mind boggling |
Kobojunkie: BULL!! No one said don't go. He could have sent a representative . . .a la VP for the photo-op opportunity in Brazil. Other countries do it. Even US does it.Your post is out of point as I didnt talk about whether anybody should go to Brazil or not |
Can they relax that of Kaduna so my people can get out of Zaria. |
Like the case of UNIFE,it's just a matter of time before MAULAG sticks,a time will come when some children will grow up and they would only have heard of and known MAULAG,this is the reality |
Kobojunkie: Do you mind providing us with information on what particular section of the constitution you refer to?If you can ask that question here, then I may have grossly over-estimated you. In any case,I'm not here to lecture anybody on this.It is what it is,they have no such powers. Chapter 1,part 2 section 4 Jeez, the constitution is so protective of the president dammit, get a copy and peruse it closely and see the misadventure of the "rogues and armed robbers" in the house of reps |
pass |
. Great move by the Reps, lets all put hands togetherquote] At times I wonder who is more stupid, the gullible Nigerian public or the roguish lawmakers that feed on the ignorance of the Nigerian masses? Go and check the Nigerian constitution,THE LAWMAKERS HAVE NO POWERS TO SUMMON THE PRESIDENT FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER,in fact it's only Mr President that can write one or both houses of the NASS requesting to address a seperate or joint sitting of the house(s),the only power they have is either to accept or reject, but they have NO POWERS to summon the president. It's rash, irresponsible, immature and drunken resolutions like these that tend to lend credence to the wicked assertions by evil men like IBB who once said that the Nigerian youths are not ready to lead the nation. A bunch of ignorant, rascally rogues misfiring on all cylinders,I wonder how many of them really know what their constitutional duties are,how many of them have even taken the time to study the constitution, little wonder they assume it's ok to rob, cheat, blackmail, demand for and collect bribes |
Detongue: Buhari, u initiated d bombing, don't blame GEJ for ur cowardly behaviour. God will ask d blood of d dead from uSpot on The OP is either very naive or is indeed an agent of Ayatollah Bin Buhari |
61 and he's still as wayward and rascally as ever |
“Now, Nigerians know who is corrupt and who is not. It is a big shame, it has further ridiculed the image of the House. Basically, what we read in the newspapers does not come as a surprise having had relationship with him for a very long time. He is the leader of the cartel...I did not steal any money. What happened when they were calling for my removal was a mere anticipatory spending, no money was missing. Dimeji Bankole, whom Farouk installed, spent over N400 million to renovate his official quarters, which I wanted to renovate with just N40 million, and sold it to himself for N100 million. " Those were the words of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Patricia Etteh, on the self confession by the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee on Fuel Subsidy Regime, Farouk Lawan, that he took $620,000 bribe from the Chairman of Forte Oil, Mr. Femi Otedola. More than four years after she was removed as Speaker, Etteh yesterday said Lawan's culpability has justified her innocence. http://www.elombah.com/index.php/latest-news/11445-3m-bribery-scandal-ex-speaker-patricia-etteh-blows-hot |
All you Etteh haters,if you dont know who or what to believe, why not listen to what Dino Melaye had to say concerning the whole saga. The poor woman was just hounded cos she was OBJ's candidate and wouldnt do Farouk's wishes. The goat called Farouk has taken so many people for a ride for so long |
