This is my contribution to this story. We keep seeing this kinna story popping up on a daily basis. Gf stabbed bf, hubby strangled wife, mom bathed son with acid etc. These are supposed to be loved ones they used to or still care about. Here comes the big question, why are people hurting their loved ones? For those that are religiously inclined, they'll say it's the hand work of the devil which I believe could be true. However, I will like to analyze the situations logically. The aggravated anger people are displaying towards their loved ones is mainy due to failure in the Nigerian system. There are millions going through a lot of economical hardship everyday, and when they break in to this hardship, the people likely to face their wrath are their close and loved ones. On the other hand, this kinna of domestic violence occurs everywhere in the world but the hitch in Nigeria is that the health sector is appalling, no CPR is performed on injured people while being transported to hospitals, and when they eventually got to the hospital, they are rejected from one hospital to another on flimsy excuses of not having police report or there isn't anyone yo pay deposit. Is this how invaluable our lifes have become in the country? some of the death my people keep dying of are surely preventable.

Well, too bad for you.Who God has lifted,no man can bring down. There's absolutely nothing you can do about her divinely ordained position.Remember, power belongs to God and He gives to whom He pleases. So stop sulking behind your keyboard.

That's the problem with people like you. I can't remember saying God didn't lift GEJ and his wife to position of power, and I will never wish for anyone's downfall. But unlike you that hypocritically mention God's name in everything, I use logic in my assessment of situations. Before quoting me out of context next time, all what I'm saying is that people close to this woman should help in getting her polished. Since it seems she is your relative, maybe you should help out in building her etiquette too

Every time I read comment from this woman, I wonder how Nigeria system has deteriorated to the level of having this woman as the first lady. I just don't know why this woman uncouth and boorish attitude remain unchecked by people close to her.

It is violation of home safety and act of illogical and selfish reasoning to fill a residential building with a trailer load of fireworks. The police department should get the root cause of this and douse out appropriate disciplinary action for the perpetrator.

This is so true from Mr. President. But what Mr. President failed to mention is that his incompetence and lack of performance had made APC a strong and formidable party to reckon with. Need I remind Mr. President that the same General Buhari that's giving him and his team sleepless night contested against him in 2011 and no one among them cares to find out that Buhari never had school cert then because they believed he can only win some part of Northern Nigeria. Lo and behold, Mr. President won SS, SE, Majority of SW and some states in the North. Fast forward 4 years, and the battle for this year presidential seat seems to be the most contested for in the history of the country. Mr. President got no one but himself to blame for the power the opposition has now, and APC got no one but Mr. President to thank for the support they have amassed in the last one year. Just like Seun Kuti rightly said, Jonathan makes Buhari looks like the best presidential candidate Nigeria has ever had.

On a thread about US reason for not deploying troops to fight BH, I mentioned that Jonathan has failed woefully in maintaining Nigeria good diplomatic relationships with other countries because of his incompetence. Many GEJ supporters responded to my reply with abuses and curses, that the reason US is not helping out is because GEJ passed anti gay law and they always want a puppet that dance to their tune. My question now is that does Morocco (an Islamic country) upset with GEJ anti gay law too? Without sentiments, let the fact be told that GEJ international relations is beyond terrible. The office of the president supposedly has 5 private jets and this man hardly leaves the country to foster Nigeria relationships with other countries. No leader wanna associate with this man, and the reasons are obvious.

I always say it that there are many brains in the country. But the problem has always been the captain navigating the ship. Huge investment in Science and Technology will put Nigeria in the map of force to reckon in technical intelligence. Take for example India and China, they took the initiative years back. Right now an average Indian is seen as IT guru and a typical Chinese as an Asian whiz kid. Give my people something to engage them productively and see the whole world singing Nigeria praises everywhere.

I think u're suffering from inferiority complex that is worsen by slave mentality... So we as a country hv to dance to the body language of so called G7 to remain in thier good book...
Homosexuality hz to be forced down d throat of nigerians even when our culture and way of life do nt approve of it.. Where lies d freedom then to express youself as an independent nation ? Or is ur slave mentality saying we as a less powerful nation are eternally doomed to the whims and caprices of dictatorship of the most powerful nation... Let me end by saying no body takes someone who cannot assert his independence seriously..becos if u cannot say "I am" no one can say " you are"

If living in one of the best country in the world and having people from different races working with me makes me suffer from inferiority complex, then I must be languishing in the complexity cheesy grin. Back to your point, I frown at any of our leader dancing to westerners tune, but if you call a country your ally, you should be diplomatic enough to find a way of maintaining a good relationship with them. It seems you don't follow how events unfold. If GEJ is actually trying to be independent, why then does he always say America should come and help us anytime he's asked on what he's doing to end BH menace on international media.

Honestly i can only agree with ur point number 5 and part of number 2 but the major issue between GEJ and the UK and US is just that anti gay law he signed and that we are now doing business with China dats just the simple truth.Part of number 2 is where he pardoned someone that was labelled a criminal by them. U knw BH has bin there before he came into power so i dont know why u are blaming him for that. And please lets stop seeing the westerners as saints and understand that they have their own agenda as well.

Though you dont buy some of my points, I appreciate your response. If you read through my comment, I never blamed GEJ for BH insurgency. But my problem with him on BH issue is that he handled it with kids glove. If you can remember, he denied the case of the Chibok gals for weeks. It is an abomination for a Commander in Chief to deny a sensitive case like that even if you believe it's a propaganda tool from your opposition. In one other case, he was seen to merriment when there was a bomb blast that killed hundreds of his citizens the previous day. You can't just do that when you're the president of the country.

you have nothing to say young man! for your information, GEJ will not approve of gay relationships just to be in "good terms" with piss & shiit - they can all go to hell.

GEJ 2019 & nothing will happen undecided

Who told you I'm young or a man? Typical of a proud nigerian angry. For your information, I don't say GEJ should approve gay relationships. I'm not surprised on your comment because when someone makes a comment and ends it with GEJ till 2019 or Sai Buhari, I know their judgment is obscure and biased

YOU ARE VERY MUCH INSANE , SO HE SHOULD BE A PUPPET ?LIKE YOUR BUHARI HAS GONE TO LONDON TO SELL HIS SOUL , ONLY SCRAPING THE ANTI-GAY LAW WILL REPAIR THAT RELATIONSHIP , WE ARE FINE WITH RUSsIA AND CHINA ,THEY GAVE US WEAPONS, THEY ARE NOT ASKING US TO BECOME HOMOS ,
It would have been more sensible if you don't stoop low to abuses in passing your messages. Either GEJ scrap anti gay law or not it is not going to improve the ruined relationship. The fact is that his diplomatic relations is very poor. Since you came up with being fine with Russia and China in giving us weapons, lemme just enlighten you on world politics. When it comes to world politics, nothing goes for nothing. Do you think russia or china will give you weapons without receiving something in return? do not be surprise if the same russia or china or their allies that you think are helping you out are also supplying boko haram weapons to ensure that the crisis continue in order to elongate their gains.

Do more reading and less of abuses. Maybe by then you will understand things better

And why do u think they are not comfortable with GEJ?i want u to throw more light on that so i can understand your real point
Thanks for asking. I like when discussion are handled in mature ways instead of abusing and cursing. Back to your question, the reason the world powers America in particular are not comfortable with GEJ is that
(1) he hasn't shown the directorship of leading the west africa region. When it comes to world politics, whether we like it or not, the G7 (or G8 if you like) control things that happen. Now this is where Nigeria comes to play. The so called world powers expect a particular country (most likely the most powerful country) in a region to direct activities going on in that region. Take for example the war in Northern Mali in 2012, though Nigerian soldiers were sent there as part of ecowas, Nigeria government never took a commanding stand as always expected to mediate the crisis.
(2) his government has been labelled corrupt by world leaders. This is clear to all Nigerians that GEJ government just like those before him is corrupt. But the difference between GEJ government and Obasanjo government (the other democratic govt since 1999) is that GEJ has never prosecuted any corrupt personnel to show that he is trying to fight corruption. As a matter a fact he pardoned a convicted criminal of all his offenses
(3) his response to issues of national concern has been abysmal. Let me remind you that when the case of Chibok girls came on, being a serious human violation case, the whole world are interested in Nigerian government response. But do you know what they got, a lackadaisical attitude/response of not capable of handling issues under his nose was displaced by GEJ.
(4) his scorecard is disappointing and america has a minuscule believe in his government. Read what the former US ambassador to Nigeria John Campbell said about Boko Haram insurgency. Campbell said "Boko Haram is a direct result of chronic poor governance by Nigeria's federal and state governments, the political marginalization of northeastern Nigeria, and the region's accelerating impoverishment."
(5) he signed the anti gay law. Though I'm not a fan of gay right before you people start calling me gay or lesbian cheesy. The signing of the law when there are other pressing issues soiled the already diminished relationship between GEJ government and the world leaders

These are just little reasons I could come up with from reading and watching on reaction of other governments to GEJ governance. I'm sure there will be many other reasons they don't wanna associate with him. The summary is that GEJ international relations is more disappointing

What really would Obama or Cameron do for Nigeria. You really think they give a damn about you and me? They are primarily after their national interests; not Nigeria's.

Do not get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of US neither I'm that of UK but ideally Nigeria is seen as a big brother in Africa especially in west Africa region. The problem now is that these world powers knows the potential of Nigeria but they couldn't just associate with us because of our present leader.
