MLK never attacked the U.S. Army or innocent Americans. Fact.

iPod terrorists have attacked the Nigerian Army, burnt places of worship and hunted innocent Nigerians in buses. Another fact.

No basis for comparison bro.

Which army sent to protect them.?

Don't tell me that the Python Dance that killed their love ones has been forgotten by them.
Their loved ones were misguided ipob members that were stupid enough to attack the army with sticks, bottles and stones.

The best thing you can do for those kids is educate them on the mistakes of their departed loved ones so that they are not repeated. Nobody attacks the army with deadly weapons and survives.

Really sad for the trauma those kids were made to pass through due to IPOB propaganda broadcasts.

Yet that is perceived as victory by IPOB, just like they are happy for gullible youths to be killed so they can have evidence against the army.

What a sick pattern of thought from a sick terrorist organization.

Hope you now see the effect of Python dance and the victory of IPOB over your stupid Buhari.?
What victory?

That children are now traumatized at the sight of an army sent to protect them?

That children had their studies disrupted because of IPOB and radio Biafra propaganda?

That the entire East gullibly erupted in panic and confusion while the rest of Nigeria were enjoying their peaceful and productive day?

No wonder you thought Biafra was victorious in 67 despite the mass death and starvation. What a twisted sense of victory.

That's exactly the point. They are NOT terrorists so there was no reason for any fear or apprehension. The army's target are iPod terrorists and NOT innocent children or adults.

Did the N Deltans react the same way when a similar medical outreach was conducted during crocodile smile?

Why should the federal government waste time in sensitizing people when we all know you people won't turn up due to ur hatred for buhari and Nigeria? The only language the igbos understand is force. I support the military invasion with enough guns and boots on ground. That's the only way to force this vaccination exercise on igbos
I don't think the vaccination was forced, and no vaccination should ever be forced except where there is an outbreak of a deadly epidemic threatening our national well being, and that should be after the infected victims are quarantined, thereby ensuring the populace are sensitized.

That said, the over reaction of easterners to the medical exercise is mostly due to the misinformation/propaganda spread by ipob through Radio Biafra and WhatsApp, and the weak defence that the people keep giving about lack of sensitization is simply a cover up of their shame of being so ignorant and gullible to such a silly brainless ipob propaganda.

There is clearly no difference between zombie almajiris and zombie yanmiris of the East. Zombie na zombie.

Interestingly, the same army while carrying out operation crocodile smile 1 just last year, administered free health services to Niger Deltans WHILE they were bombing the camps of terrorists and kidnappers in the region, and there was no mass panic and confusion from the people.

The SE situation is simply a twin case of mass ignorance and the guilty (terrorists) that runneth when no one pursueth.

We live in a paternal society.

This is what I particularly don't understand.

So the 99% of herdsmen (that are busy providing meat for over 150 million Nigerians EVERY DAY and have been doing so for over 50 years) that are hardworking animal farmers should be termed terrorists because of the activities of a criminal 1% that have now emerged carrying arms and inflicting deadly terror?

ok the fulani in ilorin, senegal, mauritania, sudan are also hausa fulani, right?
Nope, the Fulani in Nigeria have been almost completely interwoven with the Hausa (who were originally the inhabitants of the North West) through marriage, religion, culture, and even language. You'd hardly hear "Filanci" (Fulfulde) being generally spoken in any NW city as the Fulanis speak Hausa 99% of the time they choose to speak in a local dialect and this is no exaggeration because I'm an example myself.

This is why I said the Hausa Fulani in Nigeria are one and the same, though they're originally distinct tribes.

1. Actually I was down with a bad fever on that day and was off, so I had enough time for everyone. I'm now much better smiley.

2. You are now finally being honest and have corrected your initial claim that 90% of the buildings in Kano (capital not Kano state) were mud houses which was frankly hilarious and horribly untrue.

Now you've turned around and said you were referring to the outskirts of Kano city (keep in mind that old Kano was deliberately preserved for heritage while new developments since the 70's have been focused in Kano city.). I'm sure you'd agree that there's no single state in Nigeria including the FCT which doesn't have villages that have mud houses.

Finally restructuring is just a political agenda for 2019 and is the latest political buzz word, and I'm deliberately staying out of that debate. Thank you.

The ones that Dasuki wasted are part of it and many more out there. He really has time to waste on Naija IGR issue.
Just watch from the side because you're clearly misinformed or totally ignorant of what state/regional IGR means, otherwise you wouldn't type that embarrassing tripe up there.

Oga stop boasting about IGR that ends up in the pocket of a few greedy politicians. I understand your frustrations but pls know it that the best igr that one can really boast of in Nigeria of today is human capital development and that is where you will find the Igbos. When government begins to function well like they do in other countries we can then talk much about igr. For now, keep am one side abeg. I dont have time to boast over monies that are continually being looted by a few greedy men called politicians. Even the IGR you are boasting of in the North is generated through the effort of the Igbos and other people living in the north. Not only your people. Your Arewa said that over 5 million Igbos are living in the north. Of course you know they are paying their taxes and other revenues being charged which constitute part of your igr.
1bunne4lif:
what's with you and IGR? Make your arguments based on facts not on what is on paper. Who recorded those figures, how has it beneffited the average citizen? You need deliverance
... And where do you think the statistics printed on paper were gotten from? The moon? After reading through this thread you have not reasoned that it's the Nigerian Bureau for Statistics that publishes those figures? SMH for you.

Accurate, scientific and systematic gathering of "facts on ground " (i.e revenue generation values from each economic sector of each state including taxes) through data collection and analysis and the subsequent result is what is "printed on paper."

It is used for national planning and forecasts for a variety of functions, and indicates the capacity of the state government to execute meaningful capital projects and meet her recurrent obligations like interest on debt repayments. Where IGR is mismanaged, it's mainly due to poor leadership, but it does not rule out how critical a healthy IGR profile is to development.

For instance, the Kwankwaso led Kano state government just a few years ago, successfully completed a landmark project which is the longest fly over bridge in West Africa (shown below) which was 100% funded using the states IGR, which meant that there was no need for tolling or any deceptive BOT agreement with any funny foreigner, and most importantly there was no need WAITING and BEGGING the FG to carry out the important project. Same goes for the magnificent North-West University in Kano (shown below) and many other state IGR funded projects like the Kwankwassiya Estate.

As for human capital which you claimed is abundant in the SE and is more significant than IGR (as if it's not part of what fuels IGR huh), how exactly has it developed Aba from the squalor it is last time I checked? How has it helped in building roads, bridges and curbed erosion across the South East? Why are you still BEGGING for FG projects and still screaming marginalization and underdevelopment? Think and be objective instead of being sentimental and full of emotions.

If the SE states worked on and had up to or more than Kanos IGR, they would have been able to jointly build the 2nd Niger bridge ages ago, instead of WAITING and BEGGING endlessly for the FG to build it. That is just one illustration of the significance and use of the IGR and IGR data that you guys are desperately and hilariously trying to ridicule. I honestly think it's highly foolish to claim that Ibos are contributing hugely to the IGR of northern states while they allow their states to wallow in underdevelopment, and ironically YOU think it's a point to brag about grin. If there's anyone frustrated Mr. Honourhim, it's you S-Easterners that are constantly crying of marginalization and lack of government infrastructure. Think about it.

You guys are finding it very hard to accept the fact that you're the second least productive region in the entire country and it's frankly hilarious, the parasite label you like throwing around has come back to hit you right in the face cheesy

Mynd44:
Shows how much you know. When the rains come, most if these nomads go up north due to the return of vegetation up north and the presence of tsetseflies down south and with the herdsmen, the criminals among them hiding and disguising as herdsmen move.

The struggle between herdsmen and farmers can only be solved when herdsmen are able to source for food without going far away. Which was why Audu Ogbeh suggested importing high quality grasses which can survive the dry season up north which prevents herdsmen from going south to bother farmers or even farmers in the north.

Putting cattle in ranches is just going to cause meat scarcity in Nigerian. Ranch them up north, no food for 6 months each year.

Ranch them in the south, tsetsefly kills substantial amounts of them. Only solution is alternative feeding
Quite logical and true. While this response effectively answers the threads question, I'm tempted to wonder why some posters here are so pained by the logical response so much that they're wriggling like earthworms sprayed with salt.

I hope it isn't because Mynd refused to demonize the entirety of the Fulani herdsmen and instead identified the fact that the killer criminals that disguise amongst them no longer have that cover as they've migrated back to the North due to the rains and accompanying vegetation, and the presence of tse tse flies in the South.

Mr Igr, The emir of kano who has better access to your so-called statistics has even come out severally to say the north is the poorest part of nigeria barring your pie charts and statistics so quit deluding yourself and face the reality on ground.
Not just the Emir, but I myself have admitted on this thread that poverty is more prevalent in the North than anywhere else for certain indisputable reasons. For your information, the National Bureau of Statistics is the ONLY recognized source for IGR data so both I and the Emir are working with the same data. I just wish you folks would read my posts first before jumping in my mentions.

Rawani:
Look the disparity between the rich and poor is a global phenomenon and is as old as mankind, and is more pronounced in larger populations due to limited resources, therefore painting a one sided picture of the North (pastime of most easterners) is largely myopic and heavily skewed to an individual's perspective. No doubt there is poverty in the North like the rest of the country, and I admit that it is more pronounced due to the large population and self-limiting religious beliefs held by some (almajiri doctrine).
The issue here is not poverty index but output and productivity of states, and internal revenue generation statistics show that every other region is more productive than SE states by far, except the boko haram ravaged NE.

It seems the problem is that most of you jumping in my mentions don't understand the concept of IGR and what it connotes and that's why you're raising irrelevant and unnecessary arguments.
