Politics › Re: Naira Swap: Kaduna Files Contempt Of Court Suit Against FG Over Non-Compliance by Ray02: 2:02pm On Feb 15, 2023 |
IslamIsIdiotic: Buhari is the architect of this currency swap problem and it is causing the same untold hardship today that it caused in 1984 when people were committing suicide because of it and when a high ranking minister was sacked for simply begging Buhari not to go ahead with the policy.
Buhari is notorious for being a poor planner and for being extremely incompetent at executing policies.
We saw it with his poor implementation of the National Identification Number system where millions of Nigerians were besieging registration centres
We saw it with his poor implementation of the BVN where millions of Nigerians were sleeping in banking halls to get their BVN numbers.
We saw it with his poor implementation of SIM card registration where millions of Nigerians scrambled to save their lines from being blocked.
And now we're watching his utter incompetence unfold with the poor implementation of a completely unnecessary currency swap just a few weeks to a general election.
We haven't even mentioned the crippling fuel scarcity which is happening under his watch as a self appointed minister of petroleum. Let's see how APC goons will blame Emefiele for that as well.
Mind you, I'm not saying Emefiele is a Saint. Personally I keep wandering why he doesn't resign honourably. It's very possible Buhari is making it worth his while if you know what I mean😏
But if he was a rogue element like people are accusing him of being, then why hasn't Buhari sacked him? Buhari sacked Lawal Daura as head of the DSS and he sacked Ibrahim Lamorde and Ibrahim Magu as chairmen of the EFCC.
So why is Emefiele still keeping his job if he is implementing a different policy from what Aso Rock wants? If you have a working brain and you're not an APC member, I'm sure you know the answer to this question. Exactly, anybody that can think knows all these Tinubu reading is because of elections. He knew people would be angry with the party, he was now playing the victim. If not for election, he and his foot soldiers would have defended it as they did with all previous policies Nigerians suffered for |

drlateef: Please shut up!!! I feel like giving you a dirty slap. Did Obi snd Atiku complain about fuel shortage and naira scarcity? Was it not only Jagaban that complained about it? Obi and Atiku thought about winning election with the bad situation. But Tinubu was concerned about the plight of the people which the cabal, Emefiele and NNPC tried to bring on people. This is not a party issue. This is a sabotage issue caused by enemies of Tinubu. Where was your Jagaban in February and November last year, scarcity happened then as well. He even defended $ exchange rate asking if workers are paid in dollars, now he knew they dollars move from 200 to 800. Abeg no slap me o🤣🤣 |

OkutaNla: Lol. Peter Obi the false messiah (who happens to own a large stake in Fidelity bank, and has unfettered access to the new notes) has told them and other suffering masses to keep suffering and smiling and endure Emefiele's policy, while encouraging the remaining 50% POS operators that are still fleecing hapless Nigerians to keep at it, because he hopes the policy would favour his electoral ambition.
But they shouldn't worry, president Tinubu will surely alleviate their suffering after taking office. Even though, I'm not in support of the policy, didn't you guys find a way of defending border closure? were Nigerians not affected then? The most surprising thing is that some people did not even know Tinubu is trying to play politics with his outburst about the Naira, man is stylishly separating himself from his party. |

I agree that Nigeria has no working opportunities, but what if the situation changes this year? The skilled artisan will be available to support the country Maybe where you stay, many bricklayers I have seen have at least 3 apprentices 2ith them, I have even seen like two with upto 15. Most 9fbthe people I know have one skills, I mean artisan, despite being graduate. So it is out about peole not learning. A typical example is a friend who got a certificate in Chemistry, learnt plumbing, and now recruited to the Nigerian army, and I can telll you it is not entirely due to passion |

Or you stop complaining about how bad things are in Nigeria, and accept we are too poor to have good healthcare system
Things cost money. We get what we pay for. And APC has not diversified the economy, neither has it made it a productive economy. Do you see where I negate that? What I was saying is those countries you were trying to compare us with did not just start taxing their citizens, govt has some basic responsibilities before going those ways. |

In one year, OAUTH had the equivalent of 10 million dollars to spend. In one year, Mass. General hospital, boston had nearly 800 million dollars to spend.
And expecting our hospitals to perform as the American system does is magical thinking Any small thing tax, she nah the 133 million that are in poverty you wan tax? So your America just start taking their poor citizen like that. If you want to copy a system, copy in full, don't try and avoid your own responsibilities as leaders |

The country doesn't need more than 20 universities to train managers, doctors and engineers. The ones available, how often are they seeing work. I know lots that even went to learn these skills you are talking about after their tertiary education sef, so what are you on about. You are talking as if people are not learning them. Mind you, Nigerians gravitate were money is being made, make all these your listed skills profitable and see people going into them. You can't blame FG for lawlessness and close your eyes on ASUU's lawlessness. This ASUU leadership must explain how they have been spending union dues for the last 4 years.
ASUU is an arrogant body, no accountability and no transparency. They have met their match.
The good thing is that ASUU can no longer go on strike as it is now. Any attempt would be contempt of court. And this APC Govt. that I know, will just disband them immediately.
After locking up ASUU leadership members that called for the strike. And ASUU leadership members knows this fact. They will lock them up in prison.
ASUU have lost public sentiment, Nigerians don't want to hear pim.... from ASUU again. This last strike was a miscalculated mistake by ASUU. And I blame ASUU's incompetent leadership.
