What does an Eclipse and a new version of Google latest Android OS has in common? They are both round and coming out on the same day and time. First of all, rumor has it that the next Android OS (version 8.0) which is a follow-up to Android 7.0/7.1 Nougat is most likely to be named Oreo. Android Oreo is not yet the approved official name but what is confirmed is that, the latest Android O is touching down to Earth same timing with the total Solar Eclipse in the US. The Solar Eclipse which will be the first since 1918 will sweep across the entire US States, and a countdown timer has been added to the Android O landing page. The countdown timer is set at August 21st at 2:40 PM ET and will be broadcast via a live-streamed event from New York City.

Expected features of Android Oreo
The latest Android version will be coming out with some cool features and performance improvements as usual. Further more, here are some of the features of the new OS and what they are about.

Notification Channels
Its a powerful way to control what an app can push to your notification shade. Not making any changes will cause all of an app’s notifications to show up. However, you can turn different elements of notifications on or off. Also, You can snooze notifications and have them appear at a later time so you can focus on the task at hand without forgetting whatever you’re getting notified about.

Android Go
Its Google’s new Android fork, design particularly for low-end device users. Its feature is for smoother performance and lower data usage. Android Go is a lighter version of Android Oreo with several optimizations to the kernel and Android’s native apps. It’ll be the default OS for devices with 1GB of RAM or less.

New Emoji
More richer and quasi-circular Emoji will be added to the new Os.
A full list of the new Emoji can be found on Emojipedia.

Machine Learning Copy and Paste
Copying and pasting on an android’s device can be daunting at times. Coming with the new OS is an A.I with capabilities of machine learning. That is, the new OS will be smart enough to recognize exactly what you might want to copy and paste with just a touch. Also, you can be able to modify your copy selection if need be.

Auto-fill Within Apps
Auto-fill is not new on the web as we do have our forms auto-fill with the right data. Although, what is new is having an auto-fill enabled on android’s app using its new
Auto-fill Framework. And users can be able to set specific apps to manage how forms are filled.

Bluetooth 5 Support
Android Oreo brings full support for the Bluetooth 5.0 spec. You should also keep in mind that, this is just on the software end, and both your smartphone and other Bluetooth enabled device will need the proper hardware for Bluetooth 5 to work. And having met the pre-requisites, your transfer speed can be twice as fast and four times the range of its predecessor.

Automatically Turn On Wi-Fi On Trusted Locations
The Android O also has a new feature to automatically turn Wi-Fi on once you get to a trusted location like your home or office. This feature can be set to On or Off depending on the user wish.

Conclusion
The new Android’s OS which is expected to be name Oreo; most noteworthy, following Google’s alphabetical naming convention. And as usual, being also a food dessert. The Android O is just some few hours away from launching with some new appealing features and the timer is set with same timing as the Eclipse count down. It going to be a remarkable and an unforgettable time.

Don’t miss out.

What task will you like to perform seemingly with this core?
Computers / Intel Announces New Core X-series (The Core i9) by Raychux23(m): 10:04am On Aug 08, 2017

Good news for computer enthusiasts as Intel announces its new family of “Core X-Series” chips at Computex 2017 on Monday August 7th. The 12- to 18-core processors will be aiming at the high-end desktop market and also, will be offering more power and speed.

Availability of the core i9 chips
Coming into the market with four powerful core chips and the release date was announced as follow:
The 12-core launches August 28th, 2017. While the 14-, 16-, and 18-core will be ship on September 25th, 2017.
Although, the shipping date was earlier announced to be in October for the 18-core Core i9-7980XE. But with the pressing need for the chip in the market, it is coming earlier than expected.

Its speed and performance
When it comes to system processor power, speed is all that matters. Intel also announces that all of the clock speeds of the Core X series family are all unlocked and also ready to be overclocked.

Here’s a summery of the core counts and speeds of the new Core X family.
*Core i9-7980XE (18 cores, 36 threads): 2.6GHz; Boost, 4.2GHz to 4.4 GHz
*Core i9-7960X (16 cores, 32 threads): 2.8GHz; Boost, 4.2GHz to 4.4 GHz
*Core i9-7940X (14 cores, 28 threads): 3.1GHz; Boost: 4.3GHz to 4.4GHz
*Core i9-7920X (12 cores, 24 threads): 2.9-GHz; Boost: 4.3-GHz to 4.4GHz

The cost of the chip
The Core i9 is not coming in cheap. The chips will be priced from $999 to $1999. The most expensive will be the Extreme Edition (Core i9-7980XE) offering the best performance at the highest price for $1,999.

Who needs the new chip
With the high price tag placed on the new core family, these chips aren’t for everyone. You don’t just need 18 cores and 36 threads unless you’re doing resource-intensive multitasking such as video, gaming, virtual reality, content creation, overclocking etc.

Final Words
The Core i9 is finally here and it’s a dreamboat, faster and cheaper processor than its previous Intel’s 10-core chip. If you think you have what it takes and need it performance speed don’t hesitate and go for it already.

Mobile phone users are prone to this one recurring issue; how to charge our devices in lesser time. Although, mobile phone manufactures have tried in several ways to shorten the charge time of their products using current technology such as inductive or fast charge. But none have been able to come up with a technology that can instant charge our phones to a full in less than an hour.

In a not distance time, finding time to stop, plug in and waiting to recharge could soon be history. As scientist at Drexel University’s College of Engineering have developed a nanomaterial called MXene which is capable of charging laptops, electric cars and cell phone batteries at much higher rates — seconds or minutes rather than hours

What is Mxene
Mxene is a flat nanomaterial consisting of oxide with a conductive carbon and metal filling. When it made, the Mxene layers stack on top of each other. This allows it to be dense enough to shield against radiation and water, but more importantly, equipping it with the ideal characteristics of a battery. Although, MXene isn’t a new material, but the ongoing research into the graphene-like substance is starting to close the gap between concept and reality. And unlike traditional battery technology, such as lithium ions. It operates by storing ions in ports called ‘active redox sites’ and the number of its ports directly correlates to the device’s battery life.

Devices to benefit from instant charge
We all wish to have this technology in our mobile phones. For we all love the idea to instant charge our devices in minutes. But apart from our phones, we could also have it in our laptops, digital cameras, electric cars, inverters and any device that makes use of rechargeable batteries .

Final words
Forget inductive or Fast Charge, instant charge is coming to a cell phone near you, in a not too distance time. I’m not sure I can wait that long for an upgrade or can you?

We live in a world when once an event occurs, the first sound to hear are the clicks of smart phones camera. People take photographs for different reasons and as the saying goes “a picture is worth a thousand words” so, how do you tell if a photo has been photoshopped? For most pictures we have online have been manipulated or enhanced. Reasons may varies but for most, they may simply want to make you believe what truly is not real or they just want to look more physical appealing.

Below are some of the ways to know if a photo has been photoshopped. So help yourself and those around you to spot a fake photograph and reduce it aim, which is to create a hoax or simply to deceive.

1. A Little Common Sense

Sometimes, spotting a doctored photograph can be obvious; somethings might just fall out of place. This can be seen in some photographs having slightly misplaced body parts or too enhance/spotless body features. So, having to look deeply on any obvious signs from the norm can prove to you what is not right.

2. Pay Attention To The Photo quality (Pixelation)

A modified photo often has digital distortion. This photo distortion can be in form of pixelation or just imperfect coloring, and this can be a good indicator of the photo’s validity. But signs of digital distortion are easier noticed on small and medium size photographs than on larger ones.

3. Shifting Light

Examining the way light interacts with the photo objects is another way to spot a doctored photograph. If this is true, shadows and highlights will appear to violate the laws of physics. This is most common when a subject has been added or removed from a photo. A common mistake can be an object that doesn’t cast a shadow or has it lights coming from a different direction.

4. Google Reverse Image Search

Using a reverse image search is also an easy way to spot a doctored image. To do this, just drag and drop a photo unto the Google image search bar to bring related images of the photograph. In the case of a photo that has been altered, this can showed up the original image or images that look like the manipulated photo.

5. Use Web Forensic Tools

If with the listed above ways you still couldn’t tell if a photo was photoshopped. Then, using a web photo forensic tool will come in handy. By using a forensic web tool like FotoForensics, it can help you detect a more difficult to tell photoshopped image. And also let you know where the manipulation was done.

Jobs/Vacancies / Know If Your Job Will Be Taken By Robots by Raychux23(m): 9:17am On Jun 05, 2017
As the quest for artificial intelligence dominance and robotic technology continue to advance. What is the fate of human jobs in the future? Which industry is most likely of losing it human workforce to robots? How long will this take over come to place? These are some of the questions on the mind of people as to no certainty on what the future holds. If you wondering about the possibility of losing your job or what sectors are most at risk.

There is a tool you can consult to take the necessary measures before your time has come.

Created by the duo Dimitar Raykov and Mubashar Iqbal. The website “ willrobotstakemyjob.com ” is an amusing web-based tool that predicts detailed information about how susceptible your job is to the ever-growing automation and computerisation.

The website practically lets you fill in your occupation and provides you with a replacement estimate and automation risk. It also reveals how safe or doomed you are by the odds of your job becoming outsourced to robots.

To offer such insight, the web tool sources data from the 2013 report from Oxford University research, entitled “The Future of Employment: How susceptible are jobs to computerisation”. And also statistics from the Bureau of Labor. It is worth noting that the report is specific to the US job market, though the same trend will likely follow globally, sooner or later.

As it becoming news these days on the jobs that are becoming automated and making human workers anxious of what the future holds. We have the current one of a Police officer as a robot which was unveiled recently in Dubai.

The web tool has place jobs like cashier, cooks and retail persons with higher risks. And places choreographers, pharmacists, and engineers on the safer hand.

But although, tools like this is never going to be 100 percent accurate. It only helps to identify the trends and lets people know where automation efforts are likely to be focused.

Do you think your job is safe?
Let us know what you think.

If you somehow locked yourself out of your phone and you've brainstorm on different possible combinations to get back in, but no way. Now, you feel like you can’t get it done and the thought of not being able to login to your phone keeps giving you nightmare. Worry no more, for here is a list of 5 proven ways to bypass android’s security lock screen.

These different methods are all proven ways to get you back into your phone but none of them is universally applicable to all phones. You just have to try it all and know the one that gets the job done.
The methods are:

1. Try Android Device Manager

If you got a new Android phone, trying the Android Device Manager is perhaps your best bet. Provided you are logged into your Google account. To do that, enter this link using any internet enabled device.

Once it found your device, click on the “Lock” button at the bottom. But if the service is having trouble finding your device, refresh your browser a few times, and it should make the connection within attempts if your phone is compatible.

After clicking the “Lock” button, You’ll be prompted to enter a new password. This will replace the PIN, pattern, or password that you forgot. Enter the new password twice to confirm your choice, then click the lock button.

If done accordingly, it can take up to 5 minutes for the new password to be effective. All you have to do next, enter the new password to unlock your device.

2. Use The “Forgot Pattern” Feature

If your device is running Android 4.4 or lower version, you should try the “Forgot Pattern” feature. To get this feature, enter five failed unlock attempts and a message will prompt up that says “Try again in 30 seconds.” While the message is showing, tap the button at the bottom of the screen that reads “Forgot pattern”

You will be prompt to “Enter Google Account Details,” then enter your Gmail username (email) and password. Google will either send you an email with your unlock pattern, or you can change it right away.

3. Perform A Factory Reset.

If you’re more concerned with getting into your phone and don’t mind losing your stored data. Then, a factory reset should work fine for you.

The “Factory Reset” process varies, depending on your device type, but for most phones, start by powering the device completely off. When the screen goes blank, press and hold the volume down and power buttons simultaneously. This will bring up Android’s bootloader menu. From here, locate the “Recovery Mode” option using your volume down button and press the power button to select it.

Next, hold the power button down and tap the volume up button once, then your phone should enter recovery mode. From here, use the volume button to highlight the “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” option, and press the power button to select it. When the process is finished, select the “Reboot System Now” option and your device is free from the lock screen.

4. Use ADB To Delete The Password File

This method is more technical and it will only work if you’ve previous enabled USB Debugging on your device. secondly, it will only work if you’ve allowed the computer you’re using to connect via ADB. But if you meet those requirements, it’s a perfect way to unlock your device.

To get this done, connect your phone to your computer with a USB data cable, and open a command prompt window in your ADB installation directory. Type the following command and hit enter.

adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key

Next, reboot your device and the secure lock screen should be gone, allowing you to access your phone temporary, so make sure you set up a new pattern, pin or password before you reboot again.

5. Bypass Third-Party Android’s Security Lock Screen

If your lock screen is a third-party app rather than the Android stock lock screen, booting into safe mode is the easiest way to get around it.

To get into safe mode:
Locate the Power Off option and long-press it until you can see the words ‘Reboot to Safe Mode.’ then, click OK option to continue.

After that, wait for booting into Safe Mode. If you are now in safe mode, you can see ‘Safe Mode’ at the left bottom corner of your screen.

After accessing to safe mode, go to the settings screen and uninstall your third-party lock screen app and reboot your device to get out of safe mode. When you get back up, your lock screen should be out.
