abduleez1: Lol, so it's Gal who doesn't have endorsements and other ventures? You got to be kidding me.
You can argue high profile all u want but she earns more presently which I've stated fr the start. She doesn't belong in the highest echelons of A list like you claimed, and neither does Cavill but he has more star power than she will ever have. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by RayMcBlue(m): 8:57pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
abduleez1: Lol, I'm not talking about net worth. Of course anyone can stack up a huge net worth with various investments, deals and endorsements and career.
I'm talking about pay for TV or movie projects not total net worth.
Gadot was paid about $10mn compensation for WW84 heading to HBOMax and that's on top of the $10mn she initially got for filming the movie.
She got paid $20mn for Red Notice. Same amount for her co-stars Dwayne and Reynolds.
I'm hearing she gets paid another $20mn for Netflix's upcoming Spy thriller "Heart of Stone". She still got upcoming Cleopatra with a possible $10mn+ payday. Don't know how much she got for Death on The Nile.
Bruh, she's paid way above Cavill presently. Until Cavill gets more new projects under his belt it's safe to say Gal earns more. She's in more movies, of course she is going to earn more. Cavill has a lucrative contract with Netflix that won't expire until 2024, but he's always making bank through endorsements and other ventures. At the end of they day, he's more high profile than she is. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by RayMcBlue(m): 8:48pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
abduleez1: True. He's very marketable. While Gadot is still riding on the Wonder Woman wave doesn't negate the fact that she's a hot cake now and is the biggest beneficiary of DCEU exposure.
Still, Cavill used his DCEU fame to his advantage, which essentially makes him no different from Gal since they both got popular from DC.
I'm actually happy for the huge platform and career breakthrough DC has provided these actors and propelled them further: Cavill, Gal, Robbie and now John Cena. Hoping for many more success story to come. Calling her a hot cake is an exaggeration. I googled her future projects and the only big projects I could find are WW sequels. She's an A list but only just. She has neither the talent nor charisma to venture into a more challenging and high profile projects. You can't compare her with the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie and Anya Joy Taylor. These women are the real deal and you won't exaggerate if you call them a hot cake. Googling their future projects will also confirm that they are indeed well sort after. Cavill was relatively known before auditioning for Superman, whereas Gadot was a nobody before auditioning for WW. DC gave him a leg up but it can be argued that he was always going to breakout as his career path was in an upward trajectory before catching DC's eye. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by RayMcBlue(m): 8:18pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
abduleez1: Lol, Star power is debatable. Cavill is very marketable. He can walk into a blockbuster if he wants to. He's like the rock but even more charismatic. He's star power helped him fleece Netflix into a lucrative deal. Can't say the same for Gal Godot, who is still riding on her Wonder Woman fame. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by RayMcBlue(m): 8:11pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
abduleez1: Lol, Star power is debatable.
Gal Gadot is the most sought after female actor at present alongsides Robbie, Anya Taylor Joy, Scarlett Johansson. Etc.
You might not like it but Gadot receives higher pay than Cavill presently. Cavill has deals with Netflix tied in with other endorsements, interest and so on, totalling $40m net worth. Gal gadot is worth $30m |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by RayMcBlue(m): 7:57pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
Minemrys: Bros, there are actors making huge banks on TV. It takes time shooting series than most films. In fact the reason why movies pay higher is because of theatrical returns. But there are those cashing out big on tv and come to think of it, it isn't exactly tv but web series on a streaming platform. If Cavill is paid 8 mil for it despite all the merchandising sponsorship and audience pull, then he is under paid. Unless, 8 mil is just for filming, and other returns are included. Why is this one still arguing? The guy you quoted is right, small screen contracts/deals are generally less lucrative than silver screen deals. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by RayMcBlue(m): 7:55pm On Feb 18, 2022 |
abduleez1: Don't know about the poor pay u talking about man. But all editorials I've read all year has said the pay was really lucrative. The problem in net worth might be how much you think Cavill's talent is worth. I still don't think he can control really big pays as "True A-list artists" do. Robert Downey, Tom Cruise, Gal Gadot, Meryl Street, Dwayne Johnson or Ryan Reynolds. Etc. Although he got about $14mn for MOS and about $20mn for Josstice League.
If deal is true, them might have to do with "Franchise Films" as opposed other tangent brands.
Yep. Enola Holmes 2 is a Netflix project. It's filmed already and about to debut in a few months time. Remove Gal gadot from that list, Cavill has more star power than her. |

Raalsalghul: Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings: 1/4 star.
A fascinating family dynamic ruined by dumbed down combat scenes and sub par visual effects.
It lacks edge: plays out like an extended version of those South Korean t.v shows that makes teenage girls giddy except without the sappy romance and feminized males. This reads like a DC tard hating on an MCU film because none of what you said is true, lmao. I wish this archaic Nigerian forum has a downvote option so that I can downvote this ridiculous "review" of yours. |

VerifiedStalin: Somehow, I get the impression that Poch is not coming out and clarifying these claims because he wants the rumors to spread so that he can gain some leverage for himself against the likes of Leonardo and other problematic/controversial club personnel. Interesting point, but Poch has never considered PSG as his first choice, so it's not really Leonardo's fault that he's unsettled at PSG. He had already expressed a desire to leave before the season began. |
Sports › Re: Mauricio Pochettino Open To Leaving Paris St-germain If Man Utd Make Approach by RayMcBlue(m): 3:44pm On Nov 22, 2021 |
Pochettino just isn’t good enough imo. He can’t handle all the talent and expectations there at PSG. The PL is far more high profile tbf to the fame and fortune spin to this all. Guess I’m just confused as to why Pochettino has a manager’s dream roster but wants out. |

IbrahimMav: People that go to cinemas to spend thousands of naira on a 2 hours entertainment, in this current harsh economy, I want to ask, how do you do it? Don't you have mouths to feed? How do you make so much money that you'd be willing to throw it away without a moments thought and not feel the strain? Don't you think there are better and more frugal/practical ways to spend your money? Interesting questions. It depends on your personality I guess. If you're an extrovert, it's natural to go out to social events. Also it's important to note that xtroverts tend to go to movie theatres in groups in other to split the cost incurred, so based on this, I don't think finance has anything to do with it. It's just a matter of who you're and how you choose to relax, live your life. |

Nickshrapnel: Man, you don’t need all this long explanations at all, they couldn’t help simply because it’s not their movie, some movies do give reasons though, like Spider-Man FFH did. Yeah but MCU is a connected universe, with a great deal of attention given to consistency and details. The explanation is necessary. |

pu7pl3: So the Avengers were not formed in iron man 3? Or Cap 2? Or Thor 2? Or Dr Strange 1? The avengers were formed shortly before the events in Iron Man 3 took place. The Avengers were not able to help for the following reasons. - The event took place in the span of 8 hours, hence could be next to impossible to rally the Avengers in such short space of time. - Thor was chilling in Arsgard and effectively cut off from earth, and wouldn't have been able to teleport to earth to help Tony while the technology which creates the rainbow bridge is damaged. - The Hulk likely spends his time far away from civilization as possible and due to the window being too short, getting his attention would have proved challenging. Besides, he's not exactly known to be subtle. The last thing Tony needs is Hulk smashing his way through a problem that should be better served by an healthy pinch of subtlety. - Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye as SHIELD operatives were likely away on secret assignments hence couldn't have make time for Iron Man, considering the fact that the window was too short.

J2381: or because they have their own cities to protect? Or maybe Batman was busy assembling members of the Justice League, because Enchantress is a joke compared to Darkseid. Not good enough reasons. It's already established that DCEU movies (apart from Nolan and Zack Snyder's projects) have little to zero continuity with one another. |

VerifiedStalin: My only chief complaint about BW is that I felt it would’ve been better if released prior to Infinity War, but obviously it’s not that big of a complaint, the movie itself was not great but good enough, I’m glad to see it doing so well. Yeah if the scheduling worked out it would have been great to give us a better look at the time period between Civil War and Infinity War. The gap between the two is wildly short for the amount of potential story there was. In some ways, I wish they had delayed the Infinity saga a bit to make room for more of this era. |
