- Gary And His Demons: Pretty fvcking good, I'm honestly surprised. I feel like the CBC actually took a chance on a comedy that wasnt some inoffensive, milquetoast pile of tofu.

- Line of Duty: Wow. Really enjoyed it, watched all 4 series in a couple of weeks. Bloody hell I need a cigarette and a breather after every finale it seemed. I've read season 5 comes out next year, which is something to look forward to.

- Bojack Horseman. I'd heard lots about it for years and finally decided to give it a go awhile ago. It's brilliant. A very interesting portrayl of someone who is depressed, self-destructive, narcissistic and using drugs and alcohol to cope with his constantly bad behavior toward others and with his own emotions. It's a cautionary tale of sorts. It somehow manages to have incredibly funny moments, and it switches from funny to serious incredibly well. The serious moments though are honestly what keep me coming back. They tug on your heart hard and kinda make you examine the parts of yourself you like to keep under wraps or feel uncomfortable examining. It's one of my new favorite shows.

- Rewatching Avatar:The Last Airbender. There's several good things about this show but I don't wanna type alot more so I'll just say this. Complex characters, lessons, intense emotional moments, asian culture, well done adult themes, story, lore, fluid fight scenes and top notch animation. Also, spirituality. They delve heavily into eastern philosophy and spiritual things. The series honestly (to me personally) made certain moments feel like a super intense emotional almost spiritual experience
TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by RayMcBlue(m): 8:14am On Nov 28, 2018
- Exists: As the title suggests, Bigfoot "Exists" and its really really pissed off. I know that sounds really simplistic and it may seem b-movie territory, but I assure you there is much more to it. It actually takes a lot of the so-called common traits about Bigfoot behaviors and faithfully applies it here. I am not a believer of Bigfoot, but this movie sure as hell brings the terror of one alive.

- Man Bite Dog: Mockementary style film. A camera crew follows and documents a killer and thief as he does his day to day. Sort of a mild dark humor, horror hybrid. Acting is excellent and very convincing which makes it very disturbing. The main character manages to maintain a complex set of behaviors, making him fun, serious, caring, hateful, well groomed, yet disgusting. The black and white somehow makes it all feel even more raw. This is perhaps one of the best regarding human killer horror movies. Not for the faint of heart.

- Noroi: The Curse: J-horror found footage/mockumentary. Very creepy and disturbing, especially at the end. However, for a horror movie, its unusually long at around two hours, and the story is unfolded slowly with a lot of attention to detail. I found this to be the films strength and keeps you interested despite the long run-time.

- The Visit: A POV found footage style attempt by the master of "What a twist" M. Night Shyamalan. You'll never see seniors the same way after this. Overall, this was a very good horror movie with a couple of good scares and creepy moments. The most impressive aspect would be the two young leads, putting on a very strong performance, but they did at times come off a little too mature for their age. Another criticism relates to what happens with a lot of higher budget FF horror movies. It seems too polished and too professional. Also, considering these are kids, I doubt their mother would have actually afforded or even trusted them to handle those types ofcameras.

You never truly appreciate the beauty of Mad Max Road Fury until you watch it again. A truly great action thriller. Started from 11 and want batshit from there.

Witness me! All shiny and chrome! Mediocre. What a day, what a lovely day! That's my car. I'm the scale of justice. Hey head, say bye bye to neck. He saw it, he saw it all. I live, I die, I live again. If am gonna die, am gonna die historic on the fury road!

Beautiful film. No wonder it won 6 academy awards out of 10 nominations.

Mice and Men

This film had that Shawshank redemption type of essence in it.

Machini:
Sharp Objects

2 episodes in and I literally want to commit suicide. Every damn thing on this show is so slow. From the theme song to the actors and the acting. God!

Should I go ahead and download more episodes? Is it going to pick up in subsequent episodes? or it's just like this throughout?
It's a mystery-drama. It's designed to be slow, to give you time to grow with the characters, to understand every detail.

Bodyguard on BBC1 is amazing. Only two episodes in and I am riveted. Such high quality acting. Also, if anyone fancies something a little tamer, but very British and quirky try The Repair Shop on BBC2. It's already gathering a huge fan base.

I wish I could turn back the hands of time and un-see True Detective Season 2.
I watched the first season recently and it is still amazing
I may be in the minority, but I enjoyed season 2. Not as remarkable as season 1, but did just enough to entertain.

- Counterpart - Quayle, booze, and an Audi. Such a winning combination. Damn, I love this show. The best thing on Television right now.
- Atlanta - The group of guys in the recording studio that told Darius and Al to leave made me feel real anxious, God damn. And the way the white guy just pulled his shirt back nonchalantly revealing his holster, lmao (!!!). God, and the effing freeze frame... great episode.

It's a sitcom, it's meant to be short.

- Altered Carbon - While it certainly had it's flaws, I really enjoyed it as a cross between Cyberpunk SciFi and Neo-Noire.
- Derry Girls - This is effing hilarious! It's rare for any TV writing to surprise me with originality, and far rarer still for a "comedy" show to exhibit enough originality to catch me off guard, but this is a piece of abso-frecking-lute genius!
- The Young Offenders - Much more fun than the movie. The Male version of Derry Girls.
- Counterpart - Season 1 is still ongoing. I really do think that it's the best TV series out there right now. The plot and the acting are stellar, and I'm glued to my seat every time it comes on air.

- The Shield S6 - Just finished it. The season started off wonderfully with that awesome premiere. It kinda slumped after the third but even at its weakest the season provided great scenes. The penultimate ep was really good and so was most of the finale. However, I still felt that it ended less spectacularly than I wanted. As usual, the writing is topnotch with excellent callbacks to previous events and intricate plotting. There's also Emmy worthy acting from Michael Chiklis and Walton Goggins. Overall, it's not as consisent as seasons 4-5 (imo) but it still riveted me more than the early seasons.
- Peaky Blinders S1 - Only 3 episodes in. Idk about this show. It has great actors (Cillian Murphy, Helen McCory, Sam Neill) and setting and a cool soundtrack. But I'm still not fully sold. I feel that compared to other crime/gangster shows (e.g. The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire), it's not as enjoyable to watch. I can't say why but maybe it has less stuff to work with (huh). Hope it gets better.

- Gomorrah - It is a really fantastic Italian show about the mafia, really well written, acted and realistic. Haven't watched S3 yet, everyone who likes good drama or crime should check it out.
- The Bureau - Another fantastic one, a French spy drama/thriller which I thought was excellent.
- Deutschland 83. A cold war drama/thriller set in West/East Berlin in 1983.
- Money Heist (La Casa De Papel) - A heist thriller/drama on Netflix. Have heard really good things but haven't watched this one myself. Will be checking it out soon.

- Homeland S7 - Love how its centering around a lot of the political drama currently going on right now, last episode was just so damn intense.
- Ash vs. Evil Dead - The gore and humor is off the charts. Best show on right now in my opinion. Not even wasting time with walking dead at this point.
- Always Sunny in Philadelphia - I'm always rewatching this it just never gets old, you always notice something new and makes for some good drinking games.
- Waco - Damn what a good series, very eye opening to the events that happened there, some amazing acting.
- The Mick - Definitely has that always sunny feel, hilarious show with some great plots and characters.

That's one mysterious thing have ever asked wgwhy does certain camera sees spirits
Quit misconstruing fantasy to fact, mate. There is no such thing as ghost or spirit, and no camera in living memory, has been able to document apparitions of any form. Don't believe everything you see on movies, okay?
TV/MoviesRe: Magic Vs Science by RayMcBlue(m): 10:09am On Feb 17, 2016
Magic is an unproven science (emphasis on the emboldened adjective), in other words, Magic is speculative whilst Science is determinate in comparison.

My favorite TV series has finally returned for the 2nd season, and 2 episodes had aired already. Engineered as an anthology, each season of True Detective introduces new cast ensembles, characters, settings, and plot.

There's a GOT original thread gathering dust somewhere in the archives, in fact, there were two - one for spoilers and one for none-spoilers, and I fully expect them to resurface when GOT's season 5 eventually premiere. On that account, be warned that this very thread's future is very bleak indeed. Thanks for the reminder anyways, @OP.
