I know some people calling for his resignation are doing that because he is a christian. It has pleased God to spare his life, he will rule by God's grace. The loss of Governor Yakowa is still fresh, the Northern governorship seats are not for muslims alone so free this man and let him be. |

How we go take develop with this foreign language wey una give us to dey speak as our official language. Na see as our youths dey vex dey murder person with english for Nairaland. Having said that, how long shall we continue living in the past blaming them for our underdevelopment? Most of the schools built during colonial era are still the way they left them and we have been have different people in power. We are our own problem. I no blame una for everything wey una do us except for the Almagamation wey Lord Lugard do for 1914. Tell him generation wey still dey alive say the Nothern protectorate wey him bring come join the Southern part because of their economic backwardness na him dey cause problem for the Southern part. Na we(South) still dey feed them, dem depend on us for everything. If we carry one step forward, dem go carry two backward. Abeg we don tire for dem, make una come carry dem go join Niger republic. Lastly, Whiteman, thanks for hitting the nail on the head. |
Nigeria policemen be animals sha. So na after 21 days before una declare am Deserter. |
This is my problem with all of them. No true patriot among them, none has the interest of the country at heart but all having selfish interest. If the FCT minister was not in GEJ's cabinet, he will be the one championing a Northern presidency agendaan if the Prof was in the cabinet, he would have been the one echoing what the Minister is saying. What's the point in having a centenary celebration of One Nigeria when the office of the president is now a battle between the North and South. Why not just stop deceiving yourself and divide the country into two so that North will be on its own and same goes for the South. This North/South battle for presidency is really becoming annoying. |
Hehehehe. See state wey NYSC send me go to go serve my papa land. Na to go buy helmet take dey dodge stone o. |
And after collecting this aid we keep quiet but when they want to start interfering with our policies like asking us to legalize homosexuality, that is when we remember that we are a sovereign nation. What I think Britain should with that money do is get into a helicopter fly close to the ground and be dropping it,(even though the idea seems lame) it will have a direct impact on the lives of the citizens than giving it to those crooks. I have heard many blame Britain for our present state, even United State of America was colonized by Britain and today, she is a bigger world power than Britain. How long shall we continue to live in the past? What was it they stole from us that we have not recovered in a million folds either in aids or with the discovery of oil. The Berlin conference of 1884(otherwise known as the Scramble for Africa) was a necessary evil as it also has its own advantage. Let us stop mourning and groaning over the past and face the future by shaping our destiny with our own hands. And lastly, @ Mod, if I hear say this thread no make front page because say e no carry Tonto Dikeh and Denrele pixure, Nairaland go hear am. |
If to say my name be Yerima, I for don go change am tey tey. Yerima na name wey dem dey give human being? |

Rearing cows with AK 47? Next time I see them I will run without looking back. Not coward but wisdom. |
They keep talking of our economy becoming the biggest in Africa and yet it does not reflect in the life of the common man as unemployment is still the order of the day. I don't trust the source of that data. As for the strong technology sector mentioned in this piece, was the writer talking about the imported ones or the ones produced by Nigeria? I think we will make progress when we stop deceiving ourselves. |
Brethrens, I am in tears. |
Hehehehe. Light up the ganja. |
