If wiping out the current state and putting in a new one is the case, then you either need another chip or reprogram the current one. Getting another BIOS chip from another motherboard might work. If not you'll have no other choice than to reprogram.

Not necessarily. You can actually download the drivers online.

Follow either of the two methods below

(A) Using Device Manager

in the start box, type "device Manger" > In device manager, double click on "Display Adapters" > Right Click on the item that shows below> Click on "update driver software" > In the next window, click on "Search automatically..." . Wait untill the update is finished then restart your system.

(B)Using the Manufacturers Website

So, you will visit your laptops manufacturers website. e.g for hp, its hp.com.
Once on their site, Navigate to the drivers and support section. Once there, you'll be asked to identify your product. Thereafter, a list of the compatible drivers for your laptop will be displayed. you are to download and install the Display(Graphics) drivers.

You will require internet for (A) and (B)

I changed the screen of my Dell inspiron N5050 three months ago. Everything was fine for the first few weeks.
The screen started going blank; it could be all white, blue or blurred.
It comes up afterwards either by sleeping the system, shutting it down or leaving it for a while.

There's also this sound that comes up whenever the system is put on or occasionally during operation.

What could be the problem and possible solution?

First if all , it doesn't matter how long it has been since you changed the screen. -screen issues can develop at any time, and in your case, the screen could be dead!

Now, Second, the flex may be bad as well...That's the connector leading from the screen to the board

So my HP omen 17 PC only charges when off. When it's on, it says "plugged in, not charging ". Can't perform battery calibration or what's it called cos when I remove the battery and plug it to a power outlet, it won't come on at all... what's the way forward?

**Remove both battery and disconnect charger from PC. Hold the power button for 10sec to 15sec. Plug in and power on ... How are we doing?

**If this happened since the first time you got it (possibly used)or shortly after, please check that the power specifications on the bottom of the laptop matches the one on the charger.
Something like 19v, 3.4A format.

** There's a 90% chance this is more technical than you think, you might need to get into the laptop. You should see a technician.
