Oh! the account i heard growing up was Nigerian soldiers opening fire on people who came out for the demonstration, i'll definitely fact check that. Nonetheless, my point is that denying that the massacre occurred is dishonest. SmartyPants: The Asaba massacre definitely occured but the direct victims were men not women and children. On that day residents gathered en masse to welcome the Nigerian troops, to show that they meant no harm. The Nigerian troops separated the men from the women and killed the men.
The women were reportedly molested over several days. The entire incident was a sordid stain on the history of the nation, however it is important to get your facts right. The direct victims were largely men. |
Politics › Re: Biafrans Burnt My Mother Alive; I Joined Nigerian Army For Revenge - Rose Bassey by Razzness(m): 10:41am On Jun 06 |
Denying the Asaba massacre is just wild, when the vast majority of the victims were women and children demonstrating their support for Nigeria. FSBoperator: There was no such thing as Asaba massacre.
Murtala had hunted down Biafran rogue soldiers who were not able to escape across the Niger bridge before Ojukwu blew it up when his rogue invasive army retreated from the Midwest following their defeat at Ore.
Those so-called civilians were actually Biafran soldiers who had ditched their uniforms and tried to blend with the civilian population.
They were rounded up and summarily executed as spies as the United Nations war convention explicitly states that any belligerent party in a war must always maintain their uniforms and carry identification papers when surrendering. Those guys ditched their uniforms and wore mufti. Several were captured in Benin and Warri and summarily executed as spies as the Geneva convention does not apply to spies and since they ditched their uniforms, ranks and papers that would have identified them as would be POWs, the Geneva convention did not apply to them and as such were treated as spies and executed on the spot.
You should also be aware that Biafran soldiers retreating from the battle of Ore, pillaged every non Ibo community in the Midwest on their retreating path. These same banzas were part of the Biafran rogue army that could not make it across the Niger before Ojukwu blew the bridge up and decided to ditch their uniforms and blend in with the civilian population.
In Warri, word had gone out to the people to look out for any young able bodied man roaming around without a shirt or looking to steal clothing . The civilian population had seen several rogue Biafran soldiers going topless and searching people's cloth lines to steal their shirts.
Murtala did no wrong.
There is this iconic photo of a Vietnamese Colonel executing a North Vietnamese officer .
The NVA officer was in civilian clothes when he was captured and executed.
It so happen that the NVA had launched an offensive in the South Vietnamese capital of Saigon targeting US military bases in the famous Tet offensive.
When the story broke of the Vietnamese officer executing a '' civilian '' in broad daylight and the pictures splashed on newspapers back in the US, there were widespread condemnation
But when clarification was provided with a context that the '' civilian '' was a senior officer who partook in the Tet offensive and had ditched his uniform as he made a retreat, everywhere quieted down.
That's what happened in Asaba .
How is it possible to gather 800 civilians and they will all stand there and be shot before a crowd?
The execution and not massacre was carried on captured Biafra deserters who were lined up and executed before the Asaba crowd that were cooperating with the enemy as a stark example of what will befall any who continues to support Biafra.
Pic below is the iconic execution of a NVA officer who was captured during the Tet offensive being executed on the spot by a South Vietnamese officer. |

Sure, if my other neighbors assisted the neighbor when he slapped me, then you best believe am coming for them too. We saw the limit of Israeli air defense system because bombs landed in the heart of Tel Aviv on multiple occasions. Iran has been under brutal sanctions for 50 years while Israel is basically a 51st US state, yet Iran is taking on both of them at once. There is no world where Israel will attack Iran without the US and if they could Netanyahu would not have spent 40 years waiting for an American president that will finally agree to help him fight Iran. When they want to attack weaker countries like Lebanon and Gaza, they don't wait for the US, they do it because they can and those countries will not be able to fight back. Iran is different, they have invested heavily in Shahed drones, ballistic missiles and even hypersonic missiles. They now also have control over the strait of Hormuz. So, it not out of the kindness of their heart or concern for civilians that made the US did a ceasefire, Iran, unlike Lebanon or Gaza, can actually fight back ElevationD: Can you imagine a your like this justifying cowardice. Your neighbour slapped you, rather than retaliate, you went after other neighbours, fighting them, leaving the original person who slapped you.
But you all claimed that the Israeli defence systems were not working. If not for shame, how would Iran, with a population of ninety million not be able to successfully fight and conquer Israel, with a population of nine million people? How was Iran not able to attack Israel first? This is the second time the Israelis have taken the war to Iran. Thank your stars that Israel did not attack the civilian population.
A country that has taken on and defeated practically all the nations in the Middle East, looks defeatable to you |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Confirms He Told Netanyahu He’s "Fucking Crazy" by Razzness(m): 1:50pm On Jun 03 |
This is a completely wrong assessment. Netanyahu himself said at the start of the war that he had wanted this war for 40 years; he never did because there was not a single US president that agreed to fight Iran with him, until Trump came along. Let's even look at what happened during the war, Iran launched thousands of missiles to Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, US aircraft carriers, and Israel itself; now imagine if Iran only focused on Israel. There is no way Israel can even dream about attacking Iran without the help of the US. Tenses: I was telling you guys in another thread that it's the USA that is holding Isreal from totally annihilation of Iran.
That Netanyahu is a brutal war lord that has zero tolerance for terrorists.
America always looking for how to take financial and economic advantage in every situation while to Isreal, their only aim is to survive. |

This is a good development. Fuel importation should not have been banned in the first place; it doesn't make any sense for Dangote to be the sole distributor and determinant of oil prices in the country. A healthy competition is necessary to create checks and balances that will ultimately benefit the final consumer. |

Read the headline; Trump is boasting they used Venezuela's oil to pay for the Iran war 25 times over. If you cannot understand why that is wrong for a country like Venezuela to be in such a position, i dont know what else to say to you. QuinQ: Your wife and children are himan beings. Oil is business. The right analogy would be; why not hand over your wife and children to your neighbor who has demonstrated better management skills of taking care of his own than you. The answer is that there are things that define your essence as an individual and if you lose control of those your very existence is useless. QuinQ: Why is it that it is only when it comes to countries that this mentality arises? In business, you hand the company to people who have demonstrated good management skills and it always works out better. We have more natural resources per capita than America, so why should they be doing ao much better than us? That's the kind of question u ask in business |

This war is essentially over. It is now evident to Trump that a continued and prolonged fighting would not bring the US closer to their objectives. Iran's ability to inflict proportionate amount of damage and pain to their gulf neighbors who are long term allies of the US coupled would with their control of the strait of Hormuz has been a major deterrence.
The US is now completely dependent of on their naval blockade to force Iran to surrender while Iran is hoping economic pressure will force the US to back down. Lets see who blinks first. |

What you are essentially saying is that Christianity should not exist in the first place. Since Jesus and his disciples were Jews and the bible was written by Jews. why then should those who follow Jesus have a different religion him; Christians should never have left their root in the first place. Jews don't like Christians; they are not secretive about that; they are allies because Christians have this undying urge to associate with them and it so happens that Christianity is the largest religion in the world with enough power and control. For the Jews they are in this relationship strictly because of the economic and security benefits the Christians are always itching to offer. Take that away and the Jews have nothing but contempt for Christians. INJESUSNAME: Christians ought to throw away their Bibles and what Christ teaches in it? Jesus came through the Jews, all his 12 disciples were Jews, the whole of the Bible was written by the Jews. Christians cannot forget their root for whatever reason, they can still repent and become followers of Christ later. Jews don't like Christians, but their best allies are christians, even muslims are commanded to kill Jews and Christians, but Christians are commanded not to kill anyone, of not, muslims won't be doing all these to Christians. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israeli Soldier Places A Cigarette In The Mouth Of Virgin Mary Statue In Lebanon by Razzness(m): 10:30pm On May 07 |
Your very first sentence makes a lot of sense. To the Jews, Christianity and Islam are corrupted versions of their religion. People who wrote the bible basically read the Jewish Torah and perhaps though it had become too violent for the people of their era and then they came up with a more user friendly version that presented God as a nicer guy, which is the bible. Few hundred years latter Prophet Muhammad came along and thought Christianity was too nice so he wrote the Qura'an which was an adaptation of both the Christian bible and the Jewish Torah. huptin: Simple, both christians and muslims stole their religion corrupted and called it their own. So i uderstand why they should do that.
But only muslims wants them wiped off the face the earth! simply because their very existence put a lie to that Koran. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israeli Soldier Places A Cigarette In The Mouth Of Virgin Mary Statue In Lebanon by Razzness(m): 5:21pm On May 07 |
I have a whole monologue on the atrocities of Islam and Muslims from Prophet Muhammed himself to present day Muslims and if you want us to discuss that, we can. But right now, this thread just triggered a question on something that I have often thought about, and no reasonable answer comes to mind. So if you have any plausible explanation as to why Christians always associate themselves with Jews while Jews consistently distance themselves from Christians, i would really like to hear it. huptin: But it did not blow your mind when your fellow devillish terrorists killed Deborah for voicing her faith in Christ...look into the mirror you are the exact definition of a hypocrite! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israeli Soldier Places A Cigarette In The Mouth Of Virgin Mary Statue In Lebanon by Razzness(m): 2:07pm On May 07*. Modified: 2:23pm On May 07 |
It blows my mind how Christians always try to force a sort of relationship or association with Jews and Israel. I just don't understand why. The Jews make no secret of their disgust towards Christianity. The things they say about Jesus and Mary, even someone like myself who is not religious find it repulsive to hear. I once heard a Jewish rabbi on YouTube say that, Jews would rather pray in a mosque than in a church because to them Christians are Polytheist, while Muslims are monotheistic. Yet every day I hear Christians trying to claim some sort of reverence and connection to Jews, while the Jews don't seem to care. |

After all your beating around the bush, you still dance back to my point: "The sins of Pakistan do not absolve Israel of its sins." Whether it is Mohammed himself or Jesus Christ who commits an atrocity, I condemn it with my full chest . It is hypocrites like you guys that think because Pakistan is doing it or because Hitler also did it, then it is ok for Israel to do it. Yeye dey smell, indeed. UrVillageChief: Nobody is justifying the Israeli government’s wrongdoings in Lebanon with what Pakistan is doing in Afghanistan, we the sane ones are only pointing out your stinky hypocrisy and selective condemnation. All of you extremists conspicuously avoided the Pakistani an Hezbollah’s atrocities like a plague just because you share something in common with them. When Hezbollah kill Israeli soldiers and civilians, it’s perfectly normal and job well done but if the reverse happens, we start hearing about genocide and baby-killing🤣 My friend, If you must condemn evil, do so with all convictions regardless of who is behind it. A sane person would have used the same energy he’s using in condemning Israel to also condemn Hezbollah, Pakistan and the two countries that have made their territories safe havens for terrorists to launch deadly strikes on others i.e Lebanon and Afghanistan. If you weren’t blinded by religion, you wouldn’t have been oblivious to what’s happening in Afghanistan because it’s just exactly the same thing that’s happening in Lebanon. Perhaps, if your fellow overly religious folks had trended the Pakistani war crime story in Afghanistan, you would have been better informed. Now that you know, kindly condemn all the parties involved without being selective🤣 At least, you know now. You are now being ignored |

Tufiakwa! Typical black man thinking. Very shortsighted. You think the world will end in 2 years or that if we do not live to see it, then it does not matter. Netanyahu that has been planning this war with Iran for 40 years is he a fool? Or Iran that has been building missiles for 47 years to get what they have now were dealing with the present and near future, or America and Russia, which built thousands of nuclear warheads over the course of 35 years were thinking the world would end in 2 years. If by some accident someone like you becomes a leader of a society or organization, then the future of that society is doomed with this your kind of mindset. Julius1995: I enjoy reading all your "ifs". I dont dwell in it. You said 15 to 20 years, as if it were 2 years. Wealth is measurable, and based on current data, Iran is not wealthy. If it is based on the proven oil reserves, you can also argue that Venezuela is a wealthy country. Natural resources is not wealth. It is subject to factors of production and other economic intricacies. And your argument that Iran will come seek revenge in 15 to 20 years is essentially stating that they are primitive people. Because there are many things a country can be; being a hardline theocracy is one of the dumbest thing any country can seek to be in modern world. Israel and Iran had no issues until the Mullah snatched power in 1979 and decided that Israel deserves no peace and sponsors shadow wars against Israel. If anybody should seek revenge, it should be Israel. Going by Iran's history and their governance system, what makes you think the Mullahs will not be disposed by other Iranians in your 15 to 20 years? You see, wishful thinking. Iran will not get any special sanction reliefs. By who? Your conclusion on the economic implications of the war on China is simplistic. Going by casualties, destruction, current standing, fatalities, loss, Israel is by far the biggest winner of the war. Any other thing is "creating ones happiness". Iran has never been this weak since the Iran - Iraq war. I deal in the present and near future. Not 20 years that is not sure for either of us. |
