For where. Abeg make them fight. The Arabs and Europeans combined to decimate Africa and terrorise our ancestors. So when the two of them choose to fight each other, my own is to sit back and watch the spectacule. I don't need a winner, they should just engage, even if na 6 months. No victor no vanquished.

Imindmybusiness:
IWhen it starts now, you people will start the narrative of "they are killing women and children" and start sharing AI images of the dead. Real strong man avoid direct conflicts with his superiors. Iran is no match for US but their stubbornness will not let them back down until the US forces them to. If they are hoping to start a world war they must be dreaming because no country will come to their rescue, not even muslim power countries that tend to be more Sunni than Shia.

PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 2:10pm On Feb 25
No, the lynchers were protected because of politics. I remember even Atiku deleted his tweet condemning the incident. If the government were serious about catching her killers they would have done so, because some of their faces was captured on camera.

In any case it was a very tragic incident, I can't imagine the horror she went through in her final moments. And if there is any justice in this life or the next, I hope she gets it in full.

WhizdomXX:
You forgot to add allahu akbar to it while they were at it. She was lynched for blasphemy and the lynchers were defended by Islamic clerics and lawyers in court on sharia basis.
PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 2:00pm On Feb 25
We are talking about the law here, not the actions of some violent individuals. Even before the establishment of Shari'a courts, mob killings on accusations of blasphemy have been happening, back in the 80's.

The crux of the mater is that there is no state in Nigeria that is governed by Shari'a. All states have a democratically elected government and law makers which make laws according to the constitution, not the Shari'a of Islam.

The Shari'a courts were established on customary laws to attend the personal matters such as inheritance and divorce for Muslims who choose to do so. Is the law perfect? Obviously not. But that is thier problem.

If you can't understand this, I don't know how to help you.

Dbegining:
You don't get it. Is Shari'a law opposed to death for blasphemy?

For the fact that no Shari'a court has sanctioned anyone to death doesn't mean that Muslims don't already know that according to Shari'a they can kill for blasphemy.

Do you think an average northern Muslim knows the difference between criminal and civil law?

In their knowledge and by what their clerics have told them, Shari'a prescribes death for blasphemy and Shari'a is in effect in their states.

They are carrying out a law that is not in the constitution but is still a law. A law that is derived from the Quran and Hadiths. A law they know FROM the Quran and not from the Nigerian body of laws.
PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 10:22am On Feb 25
No Shari'a court has ever sentenced anyone to death. The constitution does not give them the power to do so. All criminal cases go straight to federal or state high courts. Go and study the constitution.

Dbegining:
That's the thing Killing for blasphemy is sanctioned under Shari'a law!!

Stop trying to deceive people.
PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 10:18am On Feb 25
You said people are being "lynched" in the street. Even before Shari'a law, people have been lynching each other, not just in the North. I grew up in warri and I can't count the number of times I have seen people lynched to death on accusations of things like witchcraft or theft.

Of course the US is very much welcome to help Nigeria fight terrorism. It is clear that we can't defeat these terrorists on our own and we can't continue living like this.

Flexyup:
Nice observation. But i disagree somewhere. Non-muslims cannot be compelled to submit to a sharia court/law but it is practically happening on our streets. People are been lynched and burnt alive as a result of sharia. Pls i am in support of this particular US interest on nigeria. Because e be like say the matter pass our country to resolve for decades now. God go run am for us.
PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 10:09am On Feb 25
Deborah was lynched by mob. In fact it was her own class mates that leaked the voice note she posted on their class Whatsapp group. It had nothing to do with Shari'a court. No Shari'a court in Nigeria can sentence a non Muslim for blasphemy.

Which Shari'a states is there no alcohol. It clearly shows you have never traveled.

rotadeco27:
Oh! Can you explain why people businesses are being destroyed in the name of sharia law, Christians living in sharia states can not take alcohol in the name of what please? Many people that were arrested in hotel by the hisbal were for what reason. Mr man stop defending nonsense.
PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 7:03am On Feb 25
No Shari'a court in Nigeria has ever beheaded or stoned anyone to death. Moreover, criminal cases like rape and murder are not tried in Shari'a courts, they go straight to a state or federal high court.

chiefolododo:
there is more to sharia than marriage and inheritance, cut off people hand when they steal, beheading and stoning people to death if it is perceived that they blaspheme the Islamic prophet
PoliticsRe: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m):
Una dey always like to make this man trend. He is mentally unstable for crying out loud and doesn't speak for the North in any capacity.

But this time around he is right. If states with 98% Muslim population decide to adopt Shari'a for rulings on social issues such as divorce, marriages, inheritance etc. I don't see how that is a problem.

Mind you, the Shari'a law provision is subordinate to the constitution of Nigeria. Even the highest Shari'a court ranks lower than state high courts. Moreover, A non-Muslim cannot be compelled to submit to a Shari’a court.

So I honestly don't see what all the fuss on Shari'a law is about. According to the Constitution, Nigeria is a secular state (Section 10 prohibits adoption of a state religion).

PoliticsRe: ISWAP Storms Army Camp In Adamawa, Kills Two Soldiers, Burns Vehicles by Razzness(m): 4:15pm On Feb 23
But what do they stand to gain? Those countries are 20 times richer than Nigeria and many African countries put together.

Nigeria can never be an Islamic state, we are just too secular for that. Anyone with half a brain can see that. Even Northern Muslims do not fully accept Shari'a, because they know it's regressive. they have enjoyed democracy and wouldn't go back to it.

Jakumo:
The UAE and other Arab theocracies DO want to destroy democracy in Nigeria and other African nations so as to impose sharia law enforced by an Islamist puppet/proxy regime that will allow Arab adventurers to gain more direct access to Nigeria's oil wealth.

The UAE is on record as currently funding the genocide in Sudan in which black Sudanese are massacred by Islamist Arab-funded militias on an industrial scale that has thus far been largely ignored by the mainstream press. The Sudan treatment is planned for Nigeria, and that is why the pro-secular democracy counterbalance of US military forces in Nigeria is so crucially important right now.
PoliticsRe: ISWAP Storms Army Camp In Adamawa, Kills Two Soldiers, Burns Vehicles by Razzness(m): 2:21pm On Feb 23
Killings, killings, everyday! These terrorists no dey tire. Sometimes, I ask myself what do these guys hope to achieve? Do they want an independent Northern Nigeria governed by Shari'a? Do they want to islamize Nigeria? I just don't get it because they more I think about it, the more I realize none of this is possible.

AcadaWriter0:
The data split Chinese into factions, but left English as a single language. Can a typical Nigerian/African that speaks English converse with a British, American, or Australian?

Try watching some British films and let's see if you won't seek the subtitle.
