The mistake you people keep making is thinking Iranians are stupid. Now why in God's name will they do that?

You peoples first mistake is that you think Iran is stupid and irrational. You think they don't realize they are facing the most powerful military ever assembled in human history. You think the Iranians don't know that the US can flatten Tehran in one afternoon?

The Iranians have long realized this, which is why they prepared for this war differently. And the logic is very simple; make a war with Iran very painful and expensive for the US. They invested heavily in ballistic missiles and cheap drones which can target every US ally in the gulf and allow them to close the strait of Hormuz at a moment's notice.

Now those gulf countries are indispensable to the US because they are the foundation of the petrodollar system. This is what the Iranians are counting on; if they hurt the gulf allies and the flow of 20% of the world's oil they can effectively make up for what they lack in military deterrence with economic leverage. That is what has been keeping them alive and they know it.

So, if you think they will attack the US mainland or assassinate Donald Trump you are dreaming because that is an irrational thing and as we have seen so far the Iranians are far from irrational.

Why in God's name would Iran attack Israel. A full-scale return to war is not in Iran's best interest. The most rational thing for them right now is this tit for tat strikes they are doing and only escalate when their enemies escalate. Moreover, they are not the ones that started the war; so, if Israel wants a return to full scale war, the onus is on them to launch the first strike, then we will know if it is flower bouquets IRGC will send them in return.

So if the US could not defeat the Taliban after 20 years in Afghanistan, what makes you think they could possibly "install another Khomeini" in Iran that clearly has a much more superior military than the Taliban ever were, with comprehensive ballistic missiles and drone programs. They also have over 400 kg of 60% enriched Uranium that can be quickly enriched enough to make "dirty nuclear bombs". Don't forget their control over the strait of hormuz which is even a more pressing matter as things stand.

Quite unfortunate. Most of the extra 100k "innocent" people died as human shields used by Hamas in attempt to stay safe but the Israelis won't give in to the blackmail. They are just as heartless as the Hama's terrorists who killed innocent Israelis and used their own people as shields. Sad situation.

Hamas is fulfilled that by the large number of innocent Palestinians they have succeeded in getting killed by Israel, they've succeeded in getting the world to hate Israel and increase their hope of being rewarded with what they committed the terrorism for, which is their own country where they'll now have full right to own and produce sophisticated weapons to use and attack Israel. Then what? Will putting boots on the ground change the location of the Strait? The Strait of Hormuz is a fact of Geography. Even if you somehow succeed in overthrowing the IRGC; which as we have seen so far is not going to happen, you will still need a powerful government in Iran to keep the strait open otherwise it will just be overrun by pirates and other non-state actors essentially making it unsafe for commercial shipping.

Regardless of how this end, the strait of Hormuz will NEVER be the same water way it was before the war.

The Strait of Hormuz is the single most powerful leverage the Iranians have. It is their "hard currency"; anybody that think they will give that up over promises of some money or sanction relief signed on a piece of paper that can be revoked at the convenience of a US president any time is living in delulu land.
