aydoth: I dont like any humane song be it nigerian, african, american, asian. Infact the world's song. They make me feel terribly sick. Have you been to the zoo lately and hear the rythym by the lions, crocs, chimpazee, rhino, and other animals, oh God, am thinking of it and an loving it. What a splendid music to hear. There is this other music people dont know much about. That's the symphony on the road, i mean a very busy express way, its wonderful hearing the humming sound of engines and horns of the different vehicles that passes with the scratching of their tyres. Most especially their echoes on bridges. i bet u must be a weirdo.Lol |

There may be some truth in the news.T A Orji is no longer in the good books of Orji kalu.OUK is yet to open up on who he'll support 4 gov come 2011.There are indicatns that he wont support the incumbent gov who has sidelined his brother,Mascot and his mum in d award of contracts and other juicy packages they were getting wen OUK was in power. |

Prostitutn is a 2 way thing. There has to be a demand for there to be a supply. If the men who patronise these pros are not first 'banned' then i dont see the possibility of eliminating pros in our society. |

Politics › Re: Senate Proposes N15,000 Monthly Salaries For Unemployed Graduates, Aged by ReachRich(m): 1:16pm On Jun 05, 2010 |
Redman44: This thread is getting more interesting by the minute Giving money to unemployed graduates in Nigeria will result in a lot of fresh problems arising. Suddenly, the Oluwole Forgery Syndicate will start to blossom again [ It has been curtailed a bit by the activities of the EFCC and the thorough document verification methods used by the Embassies in Nigeria ] and fraudsters will start collecting cash that they are not entitled to Innovation and industriousness will also be hampered as many Nigerian youths will just be waiting to collect their 15k at the end of the month. They might not think of using their talents and gifts to earn a living, and will be dependent on Government handouts.
Nigeria is not good at record keeping and data management. Is it easy to prove that someone is unemployed in Nigeria? We don't have NI or social security numbers like the UK or the US. In the UK, it is easy to track your employment history through your NI number. The UK authorities can find out if you're unemployed through your NI number. The Nigerian Government does not have database centres where information about people can be accessed. I see a situation where well paid Nigerian graduates [ Who are obviously working ] will be claiming the 15,000 Naira benefit Some Nigerians might also become ingenious by collecting the monthly 15k under different names and in different sates. One person can be banking 150,000 Naira montly without being caught.
We will also be seeing a rise in irresponsibility and careless living among Nigerian youths. Personally, I've seen some of the negative effects of the benefits system in Britain. The UK Government is hiding some statistics and information from the people. The immigrants are the ones paying 45-55% of the money given out as benefits to people through taxes and NI contributions. In Britain, some families have not worked for generations and solely survive on all forms of benefits. Cancelling the benefits system will lead to a civil war in Britain. People have become so dependent on the state that they will become vicious if their benefits are taken away. Do we want to go the same way in Nigeria? Even with the databases in Britain, people are still playing the system
Nigerians are naturally enterprising by nature. Let the Government fix the problems bedevilling the nation like lack of adequate electricity and solid healthcare, the bad educational system, bad roads etc first. It is after they've done this that they can start thinking of setting up a social system. Cheers.
www.amebor.com I totally disagree with this assertion.Every graduate in 9ja today wants to work where he/she can earn nothing less than N50k.If eventually this scheme is passed into law,no right thinking graduate will depend on 15k/month for a long time.It wouldnt make the unemployed to be lazy becos he believes he can get a beta job that will pay him beta.So the strugle for a beta job continues |
Politics › Re: Senate Proposes N15,000 Monthly Salaries For Unemployed Graduates, Aged by ReachRich(m): 1:05pm On Jun 05, 2010 |
i Believe this will go a long way in helping our unemployed graduates solve some of their problems while still hunting for better jobs. For those of us calling on our government to invest this money in providing social amenities and creating jobs by building industries, this same government has not been able to do build industries and provied basic infrastructures despite the billions of naira we make tru export of crude oil.Paying N15k to unemployed graduates will not stop the governmnet from providing basic infrastructures like power etc. This country has the money to take care of such scheme. What would u say about the Fed Gov planning to spend N10b on the celebration of our 50th independence anniversary? What about paying repentant militants N65k? I am in total support of the scheme. |
