Nwaka77: Why is it so hard for the average Naija bred man to understand that marraige is not for everyone? In this day and age where women are making money and all, not everyone wants to be in prison. It is a well known fact that especially in Africa, marraige benefits men more than women anyway (No wonder alot of the married women are looking haggard over there). Here in the States, no one cares if you are married or not. You also need not be married to have your kids either, so please! Let the woman be. Most Naija marraiges are scam anyway. If you want to know real marraige, check out Barack and Michelle Obama. Not the kind of marraiges I see in Naija. The married men sleeping with college students and infecting their wives with STDS! I guess u are probably not married over there in the US. |

All am saying is that our governmnent should increase the corpers pay to about N40,000 so that they can save and probably start up a trade or better still enroll for their MSc at the end of their service year instead of travelling up and down the country insearch of non existent jobs.Afterall the same government is encouraging the graduates to go into enterpreneurship so how would they do this without funds. |
Politics › Re: The Return Of Ribadu by ReachRich(m): 9:38pm On Apr 04, 2010 |
otawa: Good let him start with below case which he dumped:
The EFCC in suit number FHC/ABJ/M/340/06 filed on August 21, 2007 at the Federal High Court, Abuja alleged that the governor’s wife was the one that instructed her agent to launder the huge sum in a First Bank of Nigeria account number 3292010060711 held in the name of Nansolyvan Public Relations Limited
In August, the EFCC obtained a court order to TEMPORARILY FREEZE N104 million she had allegedly tried to launder through one Mrs. Nancy Ebere Nwosu. The EFCC’s position was that Patience Jonathan stole the money from the public coffers of Bayelsa and was trying to launder it through her friend, Mrs. Nancy Ebere Nwosu. @ Otawa it seems u have serious beef with Mrs Patiencce Jonathan.NL is not the right place to channel your grievances.
In a sworn statement, Mrs. Nwosu implicated Patience Jonathan, the EFCC had said @ Otawa it seems u have a serious beef with Mrs Patience Jonahthan.NL is not the ideal place to channel ur grievance. |

Ribadu should learn from his past mistakes in EFCC.He should not be used a a political tool to withchhunt other perceived political enemies of the government of the day. |

Up till today, our civil servants receive a minimum wage of N5,500 whereas our senator take up to N2.4m/month plus other allowances. Some of them dont even have a university degree.Do these Senators have 2 heads? Our leaders are insensitive to the desires of the citizens who elected them into office.Otherwise corpers shouldnt get anything less than N40,000/month. |

Guy, for 'God's sake, this is not a job, it's just like a place where you go to learn about random things, that's what NYSC means, it's not anything you're making it look like, it's for people to get acquainted with places they have never been to, live with people they'd never have lived with, teach, work, train younger ones, impact what they went to school for into these young ones, it's not for money purpose so for the money to have been increased to 15k means the government of each state already know about the small pay issue.
for once, let Nigerians put passion first before pocket.
I rest my case. U need to compare the amount paid to corpers with the economic situation on ground.A corper who receives N15k/month has has to feed, pay for transport, buy clothes, buy airtime, pay for other sundry expences and probably save for the rainy day.How can one do all these with a paltry 15k?Our problem in 9ja is that there is so much money at the centre thats why u see every Tom,Dick and Harry jostling to occupy one position or the other in Abj. |

ElRazur: Oh please give those of us who are intelligent a break.
I watched TV when I was supposed to be reading.
I chased after ladies when I should have used the time in focusing on my study
While I was never in a cult, I hanged with the "Gang of Friends" etc and look at me now.
My point? Regardless of what, those who will pass will do so. U were able to pass in school because u still had time to study after playing afterrall all work and no play , I am not against playing by todays students but all am saying is that in the midst of everything,a good student still makes out time to read. |
Politics › Re: Emir Blames Failure In Neco On English Premier League by ReachRich(m): 2:53pm On Apr 04, 2010 |
It all depends on the individual.A good student who knows what he or she is doing will not watch telly when he or she should be reading. There is tim to play and time to work. But what is happening now is that our students who are mostly in the secondary schools dont want to bend down and study. They guys prefer runnung after girls, joining cult groups, playing video games, smoking and drinking when they should be reading. The girs prefer watching Africa Magic and Nollywood channels. Our parents are not helping matters. They prefer sending their wards to Special Centers for the GCE and WAEC exams where answers to exam questions are written on the board for the students during examinations. |

Kobojunkie: Hasn't he already spent next to 4 years there as governor? He hasnt completed his 1st tenure. This same governor is asking for a loan of $200M from the world bank.He probably wants to use this money for his campaign for 2nd tenure. |
Politics › Re: Does Your State Governor Deserve Another Chance? (2nd Term) by ReachRich(m): 1:24am On Apr 03, 2010 |
Well, for Abia state governor i dont think he deserves another tenure. He is just too slow.He hasnt really done well in the provision of basic infrastructure like roads, water, electricity, job creation,Housing, education and providing health facilities. The excuse he normally gives is that the global financial meltdown has affected the state economy adversely. So i begin to wonder if Abia is the only state in Nigeria affected by the economic crunch. |

Next time you have the compulsive urge to insult someone, try and turn it into a compliment. This will prevent people around you from assuming you are antisocial, when, in fact, you have a psychiatric condition.
