pls submit other documents to prove mum’s ties to Nigeria and that she will return. Consent letter from husband that he is happy for her to travel, letter from her employer if employed or from pensions if retired, letter from church or business with extensive proofs if she has any to show she has commitments in Nigeria and wud definitely return because of these.. documents of any property or assets or investments in mum’s name domiciled in Nigeria, to prove she will come back because of this.
Cover letter from mum to explain reason for visit and reasons why she will definitely be returning to Nigeria after the holiday.
Also pls add paper evidence and documentation to categorically explain mum’s source of funds.

Hello good afternoon concerning my mother in law travelling to the UK.we have been able to get the following
1.her bank statement showing an for the past 6 month showing an account balance of over 1.3 million this money has been there for almost 5 years now
2. letter of invitation(my wife(British citizen) inviting her mother ) all expenses will be taken care of by my wife and I
3. our pay slip and bank statement
4. pictures of my wife and mum with siblings

you advised she get a letter from the church which we hope to get from her pastor in Nigeria but my question is who should it be address to? And what should be the subject or content of the it? should it be Letter of reference

like I said she is retired from business and 72 years and have not travel since back from the UK since 1978

will appreciate your kind response

U need to convince the visa officer that somethin will bring her back to Nigeria.. pls explore this and get a plan. She is already old, just sell a good picture
As for the documents u can do all the uploading online as they dnt take physical documents anymore.. she only needs to presnt to her biometrics with her passport, her checklist, biometrics appt confirmation and her submission slip if u do all the uploadig urself
Thanks Giselle, thank you i really appreciate we will do as adviced. Please just one more question when scanning her international passport am i just to scan the data page only or all the pages
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by readynow: 9:04pm On Apr 19, 2021
Nchabuomo:
I think it's best you apply and let her just go and do the biometrics. Given her age, she is posses minimal risk with regards to her becoming undocumented (my opinion). Just be clear in the application process and make it as simple as possible. For example, the person sponsoring her could also be the one sending her an invitation letter. As long as you are documented you can send her an invitation as you are the one sponsoring her otherwise let your wife be the financial sponsor.

Thanks Nchabuomo i really appreciate you kind response thanks as advice we will just do all the necessary things here.Regards

thanks gisellle for your kind and prompt response i do really appreciate time taken to really explain this. However
1. she is over 70 years
2. a widow
3. not working
4.does not have a pension
5 no landed property
6. no registered business name that we know of but she does supply buying and selling till her retirement from business
6. but savings up to 1.5millions which is in her account as her saving from retirement from business which will be printed from her bank .The money has been there for almost 2 years untouched

this is more like what she has above

this is her first time she will be applying since 1978 when she came back to Nigeria.

2. also how do we go about the application here.do we apply for her from here and upload all the documents for her here including booking her appointment for biometric so that she will just go and get her biometric done

Thank you will appreciate your kind response

Hello everyone good to be back here am seeing some old brigades here nice keep up the good work. It's FLR now and congratulations to everyone that have applied and gotten the good news and to every other person that is still waiting don't worry you will receive a good news soon.

1. please can anyone enlighten me on how early i start FLR application. I arrive in the UK November 13, 2018 on a 33 month visa as the case with everyone that applied outside the UK but i read that the earliest you can apply will be 3 month before you 33 month expire i.e. 30month which count from the day you entered UK i.e. my 30 month start counting from November 13 2018 the day i entered the UK up till May 13(30 month) minus 28 day making the day of actual application 15 April 2021. pls how true is this information or do i wait till my 33 month minus 28 which is around June
2. is my Naric still valid as i presented it during the first leave to enter can i still present it or do i need another Naric validation

will appreciate anyone prompt response

hello, good people in this forum hope you all are doing great.want to appreciate everyone here once again and Lexusg for is good work here brother God will bless you freely have you received freely you are giving. please new applicant you don't have to spend money getting a lawyer the resources you get here are immeasurably just follow it and you will smile at the end of the day and don't forget to commit everything into the hand of God almighty he is ever present help
my application took 8 months to arrive and in that situation anyone would have given up hope. i wrote them 3 times and got my wife to write to them through the MP and in all I held on to God and he showed up .visa was granted in October and I travelled in November well aware that I had to collect my BRP so immediately I landed myself and my wife went to the post office and the BRP was not there I was still within the 10 days of arrival or 30 days of the vignette expiring. when I reported it on their website they said I did not successfully collect my BRP and it had been returned I then wrote a letter to them that was within the 10days of the BRP collection and came far before my vignette expire why would the BRP be returned, so I had to wait for another 25 working days before they finally sent my BRP to me December after 1 month and 20 days of my arrival. I tell you it was very tiring everything became boring because I cannot do anything without the BRP and all I do is sit at home and take a stroll in the evening. when the BRP finally came in December I was very excited and on checking it thoroughly I discovered that there was error in the length of stay about 7 month was cut off(Please people don't get carried away with excitement of collecting the BRP check it thoroughly particularly your name and the length of stay return it immediately if you notice any slight mistake ) if this is not corrected particularly your length of stay getting your ILR after 5 years will be very difficult.so I had to return the BRP immediately with a Letter to accompany it and also I attached the letter from the home office showing the length of stay and validity of my visa and after 7 working days the error was corrected and I now have my BRP with all the correct details. started working now and everything going on smoothly.so please check thoroughly

Yes I've done my NI interview and GP registration, i was able to do the NI interview because i printed the email between me and the home office and my hubby also wrote introduction letter,I could not do my provisional licence because of my BRP. I received my BRP today, I was given 2 years instead of two and half years.

How much did they charge you for NHS surcharge?
Hello Priprygroup want to use this to inform you that you are supposed to get 33month on your brp card, not 2 years, it a mistake on their part please log into home office website and report the issue to them they will issue you with another card. The guys working in home office are prone to errors like this and one is advised to return such. if you dont act now it will be a problem when you apply for extension of your leave to enter and for your ILR so please log the complain on home office site and you will be ask to return it and another one issue at no fee .please kindly pass it accross to her. Please report any mistake on your BRP the sightest mistake can count against your later

Hi
We are in the same boat. I and my son arrived 0n the 20th of Oct 2018, went to the post office, my BRP was not ready but Sons own was ready. After going to the post office for two weeks, I contact the Home Office, I was told the post office has processed my BRP to be returned back to home office that I will not be able to collect it since it has been processed to be returned, that I should provide my name, passport number, nationality and my home address which I did 25th of Oct. Still waiting....

Mine arrived 2 weeks after the stipulated date. I'd say wait a bit and call the post office regularly to find out if it has arrived to save the stress of going there physically multiple times. Alternatively, you can report via this link if it is more than 10 days late.

Do not fret, all you have to do now is get your flight ticket (BA, Virgin, Qatar, Lufthansa, Emirate, Etihad, etc.) and go meet your partner. Questions are the border entry are not generic and not compulsory, if at all you get asked they will be a question relating to you, where you will be staying, etc nothing to worry about.

No need for any test again.

It is definitely getting cold in the UK but you should be alright, all the best.
thanks you so much oxygen I appreciate sorry for replying late, just busy tidying up things

Just buy Virgin or BA and checkout ..... You do not need TB injection, all your documents would be in front of the border official, the moment your passport is scanned ....

Any questions they ask you, is just for light conversation....

Hmmmm.... bro I’m afraid this is not a good omen.... it’s beginning to look like the events that led to me being denied my first application in 2016.

First the application took unnecessarily too long. Then after like 3 months of no form of communication at all from UKVi (except the “application not so straightforward” email that I got), they contacted my wife and one of her employers (cos we combined two jobs then) and started interviewing them both and were going back and forth on it until my wife was frustrated and didn’t want to speak to them again. Then after another month or so they sent my passport and then it was denied. Altogether the application took about 6 months.

I hope you did not combine two jobs.... and also I hope your wife’s job is legit. These are some of the reasons why they interview both the applicants sponsor and their employer

I sincerely pray that regardless of all the calls and the unnecessary delay, your application turns out positive. God will favour you. Keep believing bro.

Keep us updated.
Amen MresBee all I can do is trust God for a positive outcome at the end of the day. Thanks a lot will keep you posted.

Yes we have contacted them my wife called twice they have called her employer and they also called her to ask her some questions too. The second call she made they said they are done with all they needed to do and waiting for home office to respond to them as all investigation have been done.Well I believe God that it will end well in Jesus name.
