Jonathan deserves praise for giving OPC contract –Gani Adams

The National Coordinator of a Yoruba group, Odua Peoples Congress, Gani Adams, says President Goodluck Jonathan deserves praise from members of the All Progressives Congress for approving a contract for the OPC to protect pipelines across the South-West.

Adams said the contract would provide at least 5,000 jobs for his boys and 10,000 jobs for other youths in the South-West.

He said this while reacting to the allegation by the APC that Jonathan bribed ethnic militias with N9bn to scuttle the elections.

Adams, who came under fire for leading thousands of youths to protest against the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, in Lagos last Monday, said supporting Jonathan was in the interest of the Yoruba nation.

He said the APC should be commending Jonathan for approving contracts for the OPC because only the Niger-Delta militants were benefitting from the oil money before now.

This man called Jonathan is really unbelievable!..we are just recovering from Boko Haram and what his MAULAG thinking brain can decide is to give OPC a N9b contract! And tomorrow he will come out and say elections is not a do or die affair.

This issue should not be taken lightly because in the long run we in the SW will be faced with a menace similar to the Niger delta miltants and boko haram.

We sincerely need to probe who is sponsoring boko haram with this. Seems they are developing the next menace (OPC) to be curbed for 2019 elections.

A very confident GEJ was seen on BBC recently saying he is certain he will win the elections.

Nigerians will give him a shocker next weekend. I hope say he go fit handle the shock when it hits him.

No matter the rigging planned by PDP the peoples voice will not be silenced.

Martin Onovo is not widely known by many until today during the NEDG Presidential Debate.

This young man seems to understand and have a plan to solving alot of Nigeria's problems. With the clear impact of corruption on all institutions.

A good position for this young man imo is to head SURE P where he can make great impact with little interference.

APC is a very funny party. You can't be President by avoiding every debate. In 2011 GEJ attended NEDG debate but skipped the NN24 debate. We all were angry at such arrogance but his team apologised later. 4 years after a supposed democratic party and their "self acclaimed" democratic Presidential candidate vowed NEVER to attend any single Presidential debate. Not even the one organised by any group. Their decision to boycott the Channels/NPAN/AriseTV debate sealed their fate.

It is time to ask if Nigeria has a Vice President! It actually seems the First Lady's office is more important and recognised by our President than the VP's office.

This constitutional approved office was setup for a reason which obviously has been rendered ineffective like every other government office.

It is time to vote out incompetence, cluelessness, ancient ideas/mind set. Let us usher in change in form of competence, new ideas, ideas that solve issues of 2015 and beyond not ideas still using blueprint of 1960 to solve 2015 problems and developmental issues.

I have been wondering how jonathan will defend himself if corruption charges were levelled against him if buhari is being swear in as next president.

Jonah, Okupe, Abati, FFK, Clark, Diezani, NOI, Head of police & dss, all former pdp governors including Fayose will pick race out of Nigeria.

They will not allow that to happen, watch the film trick they will try and perform. But God will deliver us from them all

We do not need to look too far to know those who are heating up the polity. The politicians has done more damage to this country while pretending to offer favour or protect the masses. Gov. Fashola is one of the few politicians I have respect for, but his recent utterances for his party is making me rethink if his intentions are genuine. His statements on this were not backed with facts, he must has been fed with lies. He transmitted same lies without verification.

As usual on that fateful day, I came down from one of the tall buildings on Marina to go visit one of the bukar joint in the hood tha I have been patronizing for years and was greeted with security men. I asked one of the passersbyers what is going on? Shey don wan carry money from CBN ni, I asked. No ooo, na Oga Jona dey town, he dey inside NSE, she replied. Na when him come town? I queried further. Dem say he sneak enter the place. Well that na im problem, I left the place to get my stomach filled by the next street.

From Union Bank border of Marina, we have 3 military personnel with 2 policemen controlling the traffic. From First bank end to Kakawa House we have 5 military personnel and from CBN to Tinubu Square we have about 6 military men. These men were courteous unlike our usual security men. There approach was very civil. I went round these places because, some street were blocked and you have no choice than to go round. And I must visit my favorite joint whether Jona like am or not. In all both visible and invisible security men for Jonathan were not up to 50. From my count policemen were not up to 10, the rest were military guys.

I wonder where this figure 2,123 came from . Could it mean that civilians and admirers were counted as security operatives. We do not need to lie to gain sympathy or support of our people. This shows that PDP media team is very weak. I expect them to have countered the claim with pictorial evidence.

It is very laughable how all GMB says we will go when he becomes president, our GEJ rushes to do it.

If GMB can make GEJ do in 6 weeks in what he neglected for almost 6 years then i will mos def go for GMB.

On terror we have seen GEJ waking up from slumber. On corruption we are seeing press releases from EFCC other than internet scams.

Now GMB says he will fight pension scams and late payment, kindly watch and see what our GEJ team will rush to do.

In Nigeria today, if theres obvious evidence of misuse of office but its for the good of the presidency you are rewarded.

While if theres rumor with no evidence of misuse of office at the expense of the presidency you are removed

Obanikoro with all the audio evidence is treated as innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

Now lets look at other people including Jega that no court of law has proven guilty and have already been judged by the PDP court

Tambuwal with no house or court ruling as removed as speaker in PDP court was removed.

Sanusi with no court ruling except PDP court was removed as CBN governor
