Skii: Christians wont even trip at this kinda thing..but trust some brothers from another religion, by now they would have burnt churches, gathered their jobless selves together to protest, burnt country flags, chanted "death to blah blah"... slogans etc etc...
are u talking about religion of piss peace aka death to america grin lipsrsealed

semid4lyfe: Where is Glo's Resident Nairaland Agent, lulosas? I'm surprised someone beat him to this thread grin

Meanwhile, I suspect the modem is a 3.6mbps modem and that's why it's as cheap as N3,999.

Hell, it's the same one as their Huawei 3.6mbps modem (the one with front loading) that was sold just before they started selling that Huawei 7.2bmps GloNetrpo branded modem. . .

So instead of moving forward and upgrading, they're actually going backwards. . .NO BE ME AND THEM tongue

Shey I wan dey use 3.6mbps modem for 2012 when some etisalat subscribers dey use 21.6mbps modems and all the other GSM telcos are offering 7.2mbps modems?

Where is lulosas to shed light on this?
e tire me o

Politics › Re: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by RedLight1: 9:22am On Nov 29, 2012
i support it... youths are not focusing on something tangible to make as careers anymore, they all focus on driving okadas ... our youth farmers only leave rural areas just to drive okada in the city... criminals multiplying, accidents, environmental degradation, diseases such as cancer from okada fumes..... the disadvantages are just to numerous... the only advantage i see is the ability of the okadas to bypass traffic jam especialy when u are in hurry to somewhere and a place where the road is bad, but a simple good road network will put an end to that...

pendo89: We want to install an operations software for our Nigerian partner but the internet speed falls below the expected standard, so it's difficult to implement.
We have tested speeds for partners in other African countries and two or three seem to fair better.
They need to really improve on internet. Many users they have but slow compared to worlwide standards.
are u talking about present day nigeria or nigeria of the old? grin

omenziate: Mayb some tech geeks can help me out here, hw does 700kb/s translate to 2.5Mb download speed as cited by some chairmen here. Abi no b maths again? Is there a factor we multiply to get such values.?
dont confuse yourself... the MB is not mega-byte its mega-bit and 700kb aint equivalent to 2.5mb.... 700kb is equivalent to 5.6mbit on ur modem
Computers › Re: Nigeria Leads West Africa In Internet Speed by RedLight1: 9:11pm On Nov 27, 2012
obasy09: 3000kb/s is not = about 25mb/s
Remember 1mb = 1024 x 1024 bytes
3000 kb/s = 2.5 mb/s
i know but thats when u are calculating megabytes and kilobytes in terms of hard disk and so on but it is not applicable to internet speed

8mbit = 1kbyte
when u wanna calculate internet speed
if ur dongle speed is at 1.00mbit/sec, your actual speed in kilobyte is 125kilobytes per second

thats why if mtn sell a modem with 3.2mbit capacity for u.. it means the maximum speed the modem can give wont be more than 400kilobyte per seoond
same goes for their 7.2mb modem wont give u more than 800mbit/sec ... check mtn website (internet plan section) u will see that mtn maximum speed aint more than

recent etisalat 3.75g has the capacity of 42mbit per second which is around 5230kbyte/sec but u will need a powerful modem (like 4G modem )to get such speed.... do more research sha

shadrach77: Like i constantly say, pictures like these are not what we call beauty. These are pictures that have been cleverly taken from strategic, deliberate locations and any good cameraman can turn a slum into a city paved with gold by adjusting his camera lens strategically. Let's see the whole arial view of the city, then we'll be able to decide if it's indeed beautiful
shut up... the way they take pictures of new york from strategic locations and blend the ghettos in queens, new jersey etc

shymexx: Manhattan isn't even 2% of NY - so why do they show only Manhattan every time they show NY? - however, they have got a fixed picture of a dirty market for Lagos/Nigeria... It's more of a psychological thing than anything else - just to maintain the image of the "dark continent" where nothing ever works...
cant agree less.... thats why that fat nigger called rick ross came to nigeria and all he could show are dirty places ... as if we dont have places like that in queens etc
