Good morning all. Please I need your advice on way forward. We submitted our application to IRCC on the 11th of April 2022. We are yet to get any message from them. I put to bed 1 day ago making us a family of 4 instead of 3 reflecting in our submitted application. Kindly advise on a way forward on how to include my baby in the application bearing in mind that we have not yet gotten international passport for my baby. Your kind response will be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello, congrats on your baby, considering the baby is still young I feel you should submit all other documents that are on ground like birth certificate,.... then try and see if you can get the baby's NIN(if those people do not grumble about the baby being young LOL), at the same time try and get an international passport also, whichever comes out first between the NIN and INTL passport, submit as well, go for medicals for the baby too, your BIL will likely soon drop, so it's better to have submitted some documents about the baby than just waiting for international passport so that when you pass the R10 stage your baby would have been included then you'll probably get an ADR for whatever documents the VO wants from your baby

I initially wanted to try it as a salad just that the smell kept putting me off too so I decided to use it as efo instead, and I am glad I did. grin

If you know of any other edible grasses abeg let me know. I love having soup alone for a meal and that means lots of vegetables too. So having decent alternatives to the expensive stuff in the store makes sense to my wallet and my pot. grin
lmao I will

Yeah, I read that Dandelions compare to the likes of Spinach and Kale nutrition-wise - considered better even - and you are right that it sprouts really fast too. undecided

I had expected a grassy taste to it given the smell. I first washed and blanched in serious hot water, then stored in the freezer for later use. Then I decided to add it to some left over soup that I had and felt needed some extra vegetables. It came out without the initial grassy smell to it, and had no grassy taste either as it tasted kind of like a mouthful of well prepared bitterleafs. Delicious although I do wonder if the taste would be the same if I hasn't included all parts of the plant - stalk(flowers as well) and leaves - together. undecided
cheesy you included the flower!!!!! lol, it might not taste different IMO
The smell gave me the creeps at first but it didn't taste like it's smell at all after it was cooked, it was like a regular veggie.
It's nice you tried it, that's a plus to your recipe book

My search on efo yanrin led me to the linking of it to dandelion which turn out to be edible here too. I don't quite remember sampling efo yanrin back in Nigeria but I can tell you that dandelion is great is soup. undecided

No only is it free and in abundance - you can plant and harvest it all year around in container gardens - and I can't wait to test it in egusi and pepper soup. undecided
yes you're right, my dad loves eating greens so when he found out that most of the vegetables have too much fertilisers he decided to start planting them in a garden in front of our house, it sprouts very fast and it's just like regular efo but with additional nutritional value. But he likes to eat it alone, while my mum likes eating it together with another type of vegetable
I heard you can soak it in boiling water and drink, but I never tried it

Good day everyone, I have a question
We went for medicals on April 27(didn't submit with application from the start), after asking alot of people for mails to send to that will make IRCC receive it fast, we sent the e medical sheet to different IRCC mails and we used the normal webform, on May 3 we caught a GU on our profile(in the morning), this same day around 10pm at night we caught another GU and on our profile it changed from YOU DO NOT NEED A MEDICAL EXAM........ to WE ARE REVIEWING YOUR MEDICAL RESULT........
Does this mean IRCC has seen the e medical sheet we sent to them
Thanks in anticipation

i dont know if you've gotten a response sha, but hope this helps
i literally know nothing about this but why not ask on an already active thread, if i may ask where are you going to after passing the UK with the transit visa, if it is canda you can ask on this thread called living in canada/life as a Canadian immigrant. But I believe even if you're going to other countries people on that thread can help you out, and if not they'll redirect you on where to ask smiley

Hello house!!

Just to confirm, I called the VAC Lagos to get clarification on the fees I need to pay (including courier) and the rep on phone asked when and where I did my biometrics. I responded saying Lagos and she advised that if I’m sending my passport, I wouldn’t need to pay the transmission fee, all I need is the tag I was given during my biometrics collection as that would serve as proof of payment, and only pay the for courier.

Can anyone confirm if this is true.
yes it's very true
when going to where you did your biometrics in Lagos which I assume is VFS Lagos just go along with that yellow slip that's the proof of payment the rep is talking about

Hello @GraciousWords and all guru's in the house, Please I need clarity of filling the Schedule 4 docs

The part that ask for PROVINCIAL STREAM/ CATEGORY?
I am guessing my answer should be EXPRESS ENTRY STREAM - PLEASE IS THIS CORRECT

Also, for the very first sentence in the screenshot, I am not travelling with any member of my family, just me alone. Will I be correct to Attest to living in the province with all members of my family.

I will really appreciate your responses. Thank you

for your first question, it should be SKILLED WORKERS OVERSEAS
for your second question, I'm guessing the declaration means you and any other family members you intend to bring into canada through PNP are going to stay in that province, let's hear from the elders in the group

Thanks a lot allegory, Also for the Police certificate, please is it just the certificate alone, i am to upload or with the Pages that has my fingerPrints on it
include the fingerprint pages please... I saw someone whose application was rejected because the pages containing the fingerprint wasn't added
but icehot may have his reasons for saying just the certificate will suffice, everyone's case is different anyways

Hi All,
The last time I was here was in August 2021(part 10 of this thread).
My husband was Inland and I was outland, my medical was expired and I came asking if it was advisable to go for up-front re-medical or wait for IRCC to request for it. Although the popular response here, IRCC customer care, and even the MP's office said we should wait but we decided I'd do it regardless. We've been waiting for 3 months so we felt it was better we had a valid medical at hand. Also, we strongly believed that my expired medical was the cause of the final delay. We were told that the medical exam must be valid for all persons on the application at the time the officer is making a final decision.

Here is our testimony:
September 16 - I did my up-front re-medical.
September 21 - IOM called to let me know my result was okay and they have transmitted it to IRCC
September 24 - Our medical was approved!
September 27 - We received the portal email.
September 27 - We received my passport request.
September 28 - They issued my husband's COPR.

September 29 - I submitted my passport to VFS Abuja (unfortunately). I didn't know about the Accra direct at the time, apparently, an immigrant visa is not issued in Nigeria.

Exactly 6 weeks later (November): My passport arrived.
To the glory of God, I landed and reunited with my husband in November 2021.

Our PR timeline is exactly 1 year, from ITA to Approval.
My attempt to travel started in 2018 and was accompanied by 3 refusals (I have shared all my struggles here on nairaland).

I really appreciate everyone who kept these threads alive and going, by contributing valuably and assisting various strangers. God used you all to make this place available for us to tap into your wealth of knowledge. May you be met at the point of your needs.

Anyhoo... I am a Youtuber and if you are interested in watching me talk about my refusals, struggles, and the impact this whole process had on us as an inland applicant with an outland spouse waiting to be reunited, I have made several videos.

Thank you all!

Since AOR is January 2022 and according to you PNP application processing time is in the 6 months range, which means u must have sat for your waec exam within may/June which is also within the 6 months range. Just focus on your exam and smash it like u don't want to resit. Remove going back to high school in Canada from ur mind because that will make u lose focus here. Just make your papers here so that when u get to Canada you will have two options of either going back to high sch or moving forward to university. just utilize your time well here as if you are not going to any Canada as this will broaden your options as against failing your exam here and having only one option of going back to high sch.

Boy u don looseguard, canny is in view now n u are now differentiating between Nigerian vs Canada physics n chemistry! U didn't study Canada physics in ss1 n ss2 and u passed them to get to ss3. Besides the laws of physics is universal perhaps it's the delivery you're having challenges. Face it & Overcome!
Thank you (smiles) I believe in acing my waec papers then later when realisation comes it won't hit me hard, thank you sir/ma

Hey Kiddo, my advice for you is go back to high school .
1. You’re going to be way younger than any of your peers if you go straight to uni / college and i really feel the extra couple years between 15 & 18 make a significant difference in maturity
2. For STEM courses especially you might find the material in first year uni / college to be very difficult because the expectation is a lot of the content was already covered in your 4U (Grade 12 ) classes so professors won’t spend time re explaining certain things

High school is gonna be free so there’s no cost disadvantage

Also side note , in high school you might find it hard making friends / even run into the rare ignorant / racist kid , don’t let this get to you . You just keep doing you and you’ll make friends . keep an open mind but don’t get pressured into becoming a completely different person
thank you so much sir, that last paragraph got to me though, but I'll heed to your advise
thanks for the heads up

You sound so cute grin. Congratulations and good job helping your mum.
It depends on what you want to study. If your desired course requires much of physics and chemistry then do a year of high school. If not I would recommend going straight to college.
Most colleges offer courses to help you with subjects you are deficient in.
I hope others will chip in.
thank you so much ma'am,this was a very detailed reply I think I'll spend maybe a year in high school to at least brush through my science subjects to be on a safe side

hello everyone I'm a little bit young and it took alot of courage for me to post here
I'm 15 years old, my family is in this process is thought of helping my mum out with some infos here she's a busy person and she's already on numerous whatsapp and telegram groups already, we got ITA via MPNP our AOR is January 2022
I heard PNP application processing time is already back in the 6 months range, I just want to confirm that for my mum
Also, I'm in ss3 I want to know if it's better for me to go back to high school when we get to winnipeg or I should go to college straight away. but I want to go back to high school because I literally don't understand the context of Nigerian physics and chemistry
ps: I've been on this thread since 2019 I logged in 2022
your responses are highly appreciated
cheers!!
