muyico:To be honest. If the east had the coastline of the south west or the hydrocarbons of the south south, that 5% figure will be next to zero. |
LeeSmart:My brother, it is a crime to lounge lizards that sit all day nodding st every passing bug. A feudal mindset cannot be set free even if freedom enters the room and sits on their heads. To them people should protest everywhere else in the world except their paradise called Nigeria. |
Not surprising. Wealth is usually domiciled along the coast line of most seaboard countries. Using the US as a grand example, New York, California and Texas have a lot more commerce and hence host a lot more wealthy individuals than hinterlands or land locked states. Even within continents most land locked states are generally poorer the further away from the coast they are located. Countries like Mali and Burkina in west Africa and Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho in the south. This is due to International trade that evolved out of the sea. |
Nigerians complain that only one player refines crude oil and this is not strategically wise. Nigerians want more competition in a lot of private sector enterprises. But when it comes to the use of taxpayers resources to diversify government owned enterprises, Nigerians are silent. And quiet they are as these enterprises struggle to develop the country when it is abundantly clear they are not working optimally. The intellectual capacity of most Nigerians remain questionable. What does it take to cripple the economy is to block two roads that come out of that place and Nigeria is grounded. |
That is the essence of democracy. Competition for votes. The people should have viable choices. No one should be coerced out of running. The people can only benefit from this because power is highly intoxicating and the person you think is performing today can decline tomorrow. Eternal vigilance is the life blood of democracy. |
Ah,ah. How many times will AirPeace launch services to the UK. Or am I missing something. |
Alex80s:A whole generation has been denied alternative ideas, ways and means to a better life. Had it been that Cameroun was leagues ahead of where it was in 1982, a prosperous, developed country then one can remotely reason this aberration. but it remains as 3rd world-ish, as backward as every typical sub-saharan enclave or fiefdom. But that is the feudal mindset. It forces the people to imagine there is nothing better. That the sufferings are inevitable, unavoidable and condemns them to live in the image of the despot. Just like we have today in Nigeria. Today we are forced to think there is no better way to solve or problems of economy or security or institutional decay or structure. But democracy is a battle of ideas freely expressed and debated without coercion, with the people being the judges of the talent show. Today with Arsenal on top everyone is breaking contract and signing for the Gunners not minding there is little left with which to compete with, little left to draw out debate and foster ideas. Who then will pay hefty the DSTv fees to view a one team or one person contest. |
WYZAD:The Negro, the African is feudal in DNA through and through. What is the difference between this and a monarchy. Why bother to call your country democratic. |
ElSudani:That is countries that have independent, apolitical, incorruptible and up and doing institutions of supervision and justice. Does this describe Nigeria? If not the monopoly just shifts from one party to the other, simple. The effects on the economy will barely change. Government should put the horse before the cart. Get more enterprises into the market first so we can properly calibrate the industry then you can proceed with affirmative action. One industrialist does not make for an industry. Just as one team does not make a league. The main benefit of industrialization is competition through free market. |
Case of the Army doing the work of the police. Case of the referee scoring the goals. This is Executive responsibility whether State or Local Government and it is his responsibility not to do the work but to make sure it is done. Can't understand the way things work in this country. |
ReacherSaidNoth:This is the only tool that remains questionable in the Arsenal locker. Mental fortitude. Because the league is a marathon and there will be bad days, there will be injuries and there will be suspensions. How they cope with misfortune and how they rebound from those will determine how far they will go. This has always been Arsenal's Achilles heel. They hit a bump and the wheels come off. The other has been how to cope with mid table hustlers. This they have done well in that respect so far. |
Attacks win matches but defences win trophies. The defensive stats of this Arsenal team should be a serious worry for their title opponents. The very reason title holders Liverpool are where they are. Big going forward, lame at the back. |
Foul on Timber. Another free kick again Has Palace not gotten the memo. |
ZombieDredd:You said what again? ![]() |
Set Piece FC on the mark again. Good goal. |
Trymeee:That's true. Where is the fella. Has disappeared like the mythical dodo. That is life. And that is why those who speak the truth endure in many ways |
Arsenal playing the fiddle while waiting for a set piece. Funny tactics.... ![]() |
Won't be surprised if the information came through by tapping into communication networks. The NSA and Mossad are excellent at that and the French have a history of significant intelligence gathering. You simply cannot pull off such an audacity without leaving bread crumbs before or after the fact. Internet, text or calls someone is always watching and listening. |
And the biggest one on this forum. Disagreement, diverse opinion, means hate. The idea EVERYONE must line up to one ideal, one person brought us to where we are today. Remember a certain President Buhari. Blamed for a lot today by a lot of people. But just thirty-two months ago the reverse was the case. So we have done 26 years of democracy without any discernable progress in the lives of most Nigerians. No accountability, paucity of ideas because we are to swallow what is dished by a privileged few without question. |

Angelfrost:Not enough. Van Dyke is clearly aging and Konate is just not good enough. They need two, three top central defenders. Remember, that it is the defending that brings the cups and titles. We can clearly see the limitations of having all the best strikers in the world in your team without a good defence. If your defence is shaky even your strikers will fear to shoot and miss, your midfield will fear to make those killer passes to avoid turnovers. The whole system will be unstable. This team will come good with time and if they can bring in a couple of decent defenders in January it will be game on. But as far as the Premiership is concerned. I think they are out of it. You cannot lose 4 in October and make it. |
Liverpool's crown is lost. There will be a new champion come May. |
This Kayode guy won't spend long at Brentford. |
Angelfrost:That is the genesis of the problem. Too many players at a go. The squad is destabilized and will take a while to sync. But this is not only Slot's fault. There are areas in the team that lacked investment, not refreshed properly in the later stages of the Klopp era. Central defence is a mess today because they did not clean the closet frequently enough. What is a player like Joe Gomez still doing at that club. If it was City or even Arsenal such bit part, fringe underachievers will have been sold long ago. |
Isn't it funny the timing of Liverpool's hiccups with United's rise from the dead.... |
Liverpool has thirty minutes to save their season..One more loss and it may become impossible to defend their crown. Why do I have a feeling the VAR sought to compensate Brentford for that first half beyond stoppage time Pool goal. |
One back before the half. Second half will be war. |
Chai see counter. I dey tell you. Premiership is a no respect league. Bring your A game or collect. No free points. Big teams are always targets. I hope Arsenal is watching. |
CodedUpgrade:The German league and the Premiership are chalk and cheese. Can't you see Wirtz gasping for air. The Premiership is played at 200km/h. Possession is limited to 10 seconds before you are crowded out like zombies on fresh meat. |
tnerro1:Galatasaray is interested. But to be honest, his drop in form is nothing short of spectacular. As if this 25/26 version is a poorly crafted clone. Beginning to think this is not Mo Salah but Baba Sala.... ![]() |
Should Liverpool lose this match they will effectively relinquish their crown because 4 losses is the Premiership limit. |
Chelsea is so poor. Just look at that. They are not title contenders at all. |
