Hausa: Actually, I didn't opt for BaxiBox. My colleague doing the pos business had some issues and needed a quick bail out. He was going to give the machine to someone in Gombe when I weighed in and offered to give him 50k in a form of lease - for 5 months. He'd give me back the money after 5 months.
Because it's a school environment and we see each other everyday, I've given out 27k with the hope that once reversal is made to them, I'll get my money back. They haven't been reversed by their banks even after 24 hours and it's frustrating.
I'm now asking customers to do transfers only because I really cannot tell when the machine is going to fail me. This doesn't seem right given I encouraged the customers to come to me instead of going outside to stress themselves. It's getting me frustrated. The guy claims it's normal. But I very well know it isn't. It can be frustrating for real. How much money did you start with aside what you gave for lease? I'm thinking Opay |

Hausa: I currently leased the BaxiBox Credit card reader from a colleague for five months and I'm getting frustrated here. 5 people have withdrawn in the space of 5 days and while they got debited, the money never reflected on my card reader.
This is getting me frustrated as no normal machine is supposed to do this every now and then. I don't even know what to do. Hmmm. Quite sad. Sorry about that. Why did you opt for Baxibox in the first place amongst all the trusted popular others? First time i'm hearing of Baxibox and this is one bad review. What's your next move now? Quitting Baxibox or the business? |

I don't know if certificate or certification is the right word to use but i need advise.
I had to quite school in my solphomore year due to familly going broke years ago. I want to return soon as a fresher but even though i work as a consultant presently i feel i'd be needing more than that abroad as i plan to go get the degree abroad. I plan to migrate either with education or other way.
Now the thing is i don't want to go around without at least a certificate that can increase my chance of getting meaningful job to do in a country where i wouldn't find it easy to get clients as first timer.
I'm a business person and my choice course have always bn Business Management and/or Administration even though i was studying for a degree in Insurance which i was enjoying before i left. So i need suggestions and recommendations for the best certificate course(even online, international). |

Belle35: Many thanks. I do not plan to go to SA at least not anytime soon. My major concern is how to explain this to the country I’m planning on applying for residency. I want to come clean but I don’t know how to explain it. Do I say I was asked to pay a fine but I did not pay it and when one fails to pay the fine, you automatically get a five years ban? Or I was told to either pay a fine or face a 5years ban which I chose to go with the ban? Which is the right way to put it? Is it necessary you disclose that info in the new country you are applying for its PR? Afterall the passport is lost now. |

Apply for a replacement with the revised bio data.

etrange: For starters, I'd ask why didn't you think of this before deciding to overstay? Ok, let's assume you were just "hustling" to survive then like most Nigerians do. Why didn't you think of this before deciding to exit using NIMC slip? You're asking for advice now that you've overplayed yourself but when you were being "smart", it didn't occur to you to create a thread asking for advice.
Having said that, I think you've got two options now:
Option 1) You either go back using any means but your passport, and then figure out a way to return using your passport. This way, you'd have return details.
Option 2) Get a new passport. You're even lucky African countries don't share immigration data with the western world (not sure if immigration data are even stored in digital format in Africa).
Sorry if that wasn't the kind of advice you were expecting. Thanks. I should consider that no 1. And i never acted smart, just had to leave. Thanks again. |

lucaschukwuka: Hello, thanks to everyone who's contributed to this thread. It's no small job that is being done here.
I have a situation and I'd like to hear our experienced persons' take on it.
I want to visit the states so as to satisfy the fiance visa meeting requirement. Been more than 2 years since the last meeting between me and my gf of 10 years whom I now intend to marry.
Is the above a satisfactory answer when asked why I intend to visit the states? Do I need to bring proof of relationship to support my answer? I do have tons of those.
Also, I intend to run my masters degree in a university close to her home after we get married and I'm legally residing in the states. But just in case I apply for a visit visa and don't get it, will that affect my chances with f1?
What would you advice?
Thank you sincerely. Why don't you go with the F1 then if you can afford it. That have a better chance. |

Now my dillema is i'm planning to be up and running again but i don't know if i can correct this issue and how to go about it or if left so will not affect VO and Immi. decision on my future visa application. Honestly i need to go away now. Please your advise |

In 2017 i made some couple of mistakes, mistakes that made sure i'm still stuck in one place even till today. Later that year i got my passport, tried to leave for a better country but end up i didn't try at all.
Long story short, i eventually made the decision to move to Ghana instead just to go stay for a while and figure things out, i eventually over-stayed the 60 days ECOWAS entry visa, infact stayed well over 2 years before i decided to return home. When coming via land border i had to hid my passport as i know the penalty for overstaying would be much for me to bear; that's 60 cedis(@#5k) for every overstayed month, though they reduced it for some co-travellers that night but none of them overstayed even a year, there was one that overstayed 6 months and he was made to pay for the whole month so there was never a way i could afford over two years penalty then. I thus traveled with my NIMC slip. |
