I don't want to doubt you because I wasn't with you when it happened. But it will help in the credibility of your story if you can answer these questions honestly:

How did he give to God?
Is 90% tithe?
Did he reinvest the 10% or did God magically threw him out o poverty?

I grew up to see my mum pay her tithe, she has been very consistent with it and she gives to the needy too even if it's her last (many times it has happened). But do you know that God's promises about tithe is not a Joke??
I have checked my mum's life with that of her siblings and some persons and the difference is clear. She has accomplished what is unimaginable in our little niche, There is blessing in tithing. Do not allow OAP Freeze deceive you.
If after paying tithe and your pastor squader the money, he has a case with God. Just obey God, all this story about tithe is a distractrous temptation.

I grew up in a church where tithe was never mentioned till I left home for school. There were many people who prospered in that church.

I attended a mission school where tithe was never mentioned, yet people prospered there.

I have never paid tithe all my life, yet I am doing well for myself.

I work in an environment where there are many Muslims, yet some of them prosper more than some tithe paying contemporaries.

What I am saying in essence is this "tithe did not make your mum better than her friends".

Of course the bible says " the difference is clear" according to one tithe collecting Daddy GO.

Now, the #TAP challenge is not really about individual prosperity but that of the nation.

It doesn't matter whether you pay tithe or not. The only thing we are trying to point out is that 'tithing has no business with Christianity " and that "tithing is never about money". Go ahead and pay but let it be that you are not being deceived into doing so by jetloving GOs.

I believe what you stated is asking too much. Let's start from the lowest of lows. If your tithe was usually #500, go out and look for someone that could really be in need of that and give to them. You know that person that can hardly afford a meal that you've always seen walking around in tattered trousers and shoes? A 500naira unexpected gift will go a long way in making their day.

It is good to read different versions of the bible and get knowledge, but revelation is given by The Holy Spirit.

As i was taugh in Sunday school tithes is something u give from your heart as a true Christian not as sth u give bcause u are under obligation.the Bible said it that God looks at your heart not the work you do thats why no matter what you do in God's house and you are not saved you will still go to hell.

Thanks for being honest... That's what you were thought in Sunday school. It us not the Bible. First, no where in the bible is it written that tithe is not a law. Every law is obligatory.

2nd...You don't really need the holy spirit to understand plain English. There are Bible versions written in plain English, pick them up and read for yourself with your brain and not with the brain of your Sunday school teacher.

I support this movement. It's just that we Nigerians are so religious that we no longer use our heads. They say tithe is giving to God. Agreed ! but who is God?? God is not in that building or that fat pastor who already has a home with kids whose schools your own children may never get to attend. God is on the streets , the less privileged , that child who can't further his education because of N6,500 jamb form, God is in the prisons , God is that family that can't feed, God is that cleaner in your office whose kids school fees depends on that megare salary, etc. I have since donated my tithes to these people and belive me my life has changed for good. Whatever u ask God he does it for me. Ask yourself why poverty rate has increased despite the number of religious centres springing up everday.

How some one who calls himself a man of God be driving in his/her convoy see people lying under the bridge hungry, unclothed, sick and still comfortably mount pulpit to go and preach rubbish, all they distribute to poor people are nonsense flyers and rubbish books written by them not even bible, how will someone hungry read? I pity fools paying to already made family and still end up in hell fire

No problems, it's your money you can do whatever you like with it. However, I would love you to understand a number of things about the #TAP challenge.
1. You can Tithe to your Daddy G.O. if you like but know that "Tithing has no business in Christianity". Let it be that you are not being scammed or threatened with death and all types of curses if you don't tithe.
2. The challenge is not merely about giving to the needy, it is pledging to bring one person or two out if poverty with your 'tithe' and challenging others to do the same. By igniting the chain reaction, more and more people will start leaving the poverty benchmark.
