So i heard from a littlebird that Nairaland has been calling my name its 11.22pm here in Saskatoon @ -23⁰.

So concerning this issue by @green..... ( dint get the name) u can try to proceed with ur application spouse unaccompanied nd add ur spouse as soon as u get ur ppr... dat is d way to go.
Dat is what I have done what some others that I av assisted has done and it has worked.
So choose ur options wisely.

I suspect the answer is yes to all 3 questions but I cannot say it with my full chest.

If draws continue at this pace and scores drop by 5 points, even at 485 you may still be safe and get ITA before year end.

If it were me, I would beg/convince spouse to redo IELTS immediately, hope for 8777 and see if you can get that before end of Oct.

Some say they changed spouse to accompanying after PPR (not AOR), you can try this if you have the liver. Search NL for Remicynt's posts and search on Canada.visa too. Any changes you make post AOR but before PPR may lead to a recalculation of CRS AFAIK.

My husband seized my Visa and COPR so I’m unable to travel.

I am heavy and due to travel in August with my ticket already booked.

He has travelled already and he took my passport with visa and my COPR and cut off communication with me. He never even allowed me see the COPR cos he had his plans so now I’m stranded in Nigeria and need help on what to do.

Please how do I go about retrieving these documents from IRCC?

A little background:

The marriage has been filled with serious emotional abuse from my husband mainly because I was added to his Canadian EE application. He willingly added me just after we got married and this somehow delayed his getting PPR as it took over 2 years before it finally came. I have seen hell in this 2 years with him constantly blaming me for the delay, then he would accuse me of not being submissive and appreciative of the sacrifice. He threatens me with divorce all the time saying I'm not submissive and he cannot take a woman he cannot control to Canada. Repeatedly tells me he made a mistake marrying me. He tells me no man can ever do what he did for me. That most men will not add their partner to their application and that I'm supposed to be worshiping him. Note that I had to bear all the financial requirements for everything concerning my own.

Na u create d loopholes!!!!! If u don't know something don't say abeg!!! That's why personally I will not respond to any on this topic biko, cs I know Naija people

There are loopholes in the system. When it becomes obvious that people are using this to game the system IRCC will eventually close the loophole. Who knows who they will use as scapegoat �‍♂️

I'm in a situation- please I need help.
A male married candidate with PR but yet to land, I chose my wife and child as non accompanied in my application.
I'm expecting another child in the coming month, I'm thinking of waiting for the new baby to be born, add the child and the first child as accompanied while my wife remains unaccompanied for me to sponsor her. Has anyone done this before or is this a bad step? Please help me.

Note that once eligibility is passed ur Crs scores never get recalculated!!! I learnt that in this process, there is nothing like compassion in ircc books, dey deal by the law, if the law says yes, then it's yes if it says otherwise then it so. Someone on canadavisa dint av achild but changed her husband due to d fact she didnt want a long distance relationship she wanted her husband to be close and she got Copr fr both of them, you can take time out to do research on "Adding spouse after ppr" on canavisa and YouTube. Tho this information is not so much available cs trust me u will not find 10% info on this topic of changing from unaccompanied to accompanied on the internet space. It took me a lot of sleepless night and restless day to get info and conviction to actually make d step cs really it it's a very risky one but very doable. So if u are like me that wants to risk it all fr my family then go ahead, but If u don't av d convinction no try am ooo!!!! Just do ur sponsorship jejely. This is very doable, I did it and I knw quite a no of people who did It after me. We got our passports back yesterday and we all received Copr. I don't really want to talk so much about it so people don't see it as a means to an end, cs I knw my Naija people so ircc don't eventual change it. Its actually a legal right of an applicant to change spouse from unaccompanied to Accompanied and I learnt this from a popular Canadian consultant on YouTube. You just av to do it properly!!!!

Resharing this post from this thread as evidence. This strategy was adopted by a number of people in prior threads. I just don't have the patience to look for them now. Changing the spouse to accompanying after PPR has no implication aa you already did medical and made provision for them with POF. I can't remember what happens if notification is post-AOR.

Plz let me get this well: You got ITA with your spouse as unaccompanied, then you got PPR as unaccompanied, sent a webform to add your spouse post-PPR, then your spouse was added without them requesting for IELTS and ECA.. Things are Happening

So I said let me share the good news!!!
After several consultation I decided to go ahead to send webforms for my spouse to be changed to Accompanied. Thanks to God we got BVl on d 18th of May and finally got PPR on the 6th of June with my spouse and daughter. Our first ppr was for me and my son while the second covered Us all.

Glory be to God in d highest!!!!
I discovered something in the process tho.

One or two people on Canada.visa say they have done this.

It doesn't seem clear if IRCC will recalculate CRS or treat it like someone who was single and got married post AOR, PPR or COPR (where CRS is not recalculated.)

If IRCC recalculates CRS, then changing spouse from non accompanying to accompanying for the average PNP applicant is a no brainer. Their recalculated CRS go still stand gidigba and typically exceed the CRS of the draw that invited them (thanks to 600 points).

For regular FSW, whose CRS may not survive recalculation, it may be a gamble.

Some options that come to mind:
1. Contact an immigration lawyer to be sure and go ahead if you are convinced the outcome will be positive
2. Land alone and spouse applies for visit, study visa or work permit after your landing
3. Land alone and sponsor spouse (I suspect this is usually the plan for non-accompanying spouse crew)
5. Land alone, soft landing, return to Naija to stay with spouse and think through other options within the next 2 years.

I recently received Ppr , I was also blessed with a baby on the 13th of March 2022. However when we applied my spouse was unaccompanied due to low crs score. Due to this change in my family composition I want to request ircc changes my spouse to accompanied due to the fact I may not be able to cope with 2 children and I need his help in our new home. I have requested my daughter be added to the application. Can I request my husband be changed to accompanied Will our crs score be recalculated Really worried as our Crs score will be low nd it might affect my PR. Plz I need your guidance. Thank you

With TRVs (visit visa or work permit) the applicant needs to show that they plan to return to their home country. This is what your spouses need to focus on while applying. You having a COPR (or PR when you land), is a close tie to Canada, your spouses need to provide ties that are greater in Nigeria e.g. stable job, operational business, aged parents, land etc otherwise the VO may think your spouse is more likely to stay back in Canada if they go.

You may want to consider landing first (having applied for PR as non accompanying), so at least your own immigration status is finalised before you begin exploring TRV for your spouse.

I recently got my PR under the express entry but my spouse is unaccompanied as a result of low CRS score. We recently have a new born which makes us av 2kids I am we are thinking of applying for a visit visa for him to enable us settle down and possibly apply fr a work permit while he is with us. I got PpR on t 22nd of March. Fortunately I added a newborn to my family on the 13th. I have been trying to get a inform IRCC of this change since the day I put to bed but I haven't gotten any response. After I got PpR I v sent several mails to them. I haven't gotten any response still, d letter says to submit passport within 21days. What do I do as o know I can't submit the passport without my daughter bn added to the application for is to get another ppr. Kindly advise

Oo so this how the 6weeks works... I booked for capturing already, I had to DIY when d officer is asking me to bring 40k and deg don't av any power of the capturing date, doesn't make any sense to pay that much, has anyone gotten dere passport in two weeks after capturing in Festac?? Anything outside of Lagos,Abuja and Enugu will take you over 3onths to get that passport.
the truth is no one can speed up anything,the minimum time frame is 6 weeks, 4 weeks wait from the day of payment and 2 weeks waiting period before collection,it has been program, don't waste your time in going elsewhere.
Stay put for Lagos or Abuja or Enugu and get your passport in that 6 weeks

Please I got an Adr for custody Documentation issued by the relevant judicial authority for my child. My self and my husband are very married and together. We applied as spouse unaccompanied. I am confused at what document ircc wants. We submited and transmitted Parents authorization to travel letter, my husband passport, my son birth certificate.
