Sports › Re: Cynthia Uwak: It Is Wrong For People To Label Female Footballers Lesbians by repogirl(f): 3:03pm On Mar 23, 2015
Yes they should be called dikes cos lesbian.isn't polite.

BTW that they get approached by men doesn't make them heterosexual, I am not saying they are dikes ooooo but then the way they dress and even the suggestive postures and positions with other females in their pictures are quite suspicious.

Me also thinks, the girl doth protest too much. Just put a pic of you hugging a guy or doing whatever else with a guy and people won't tag you as lesbians anymore. Simple.
Politics › Re: 'better An Ex-dictator Than A Weak President'- UK Telegraph by repogirl(f): 2:20pm On Mar 23, 2015
Can't help but laugh at the concluding statement, the people who help him win wouldn't be the ones to help him govern? Who do they think they are bullshitting?

Why help him win in the first place if you have no stakes in it? Rubbish!

Literature › Re: Chimamanda Adichie Blasts Elnathan John, A Writer From Kaduna In New Interview by repogirl(f): 11:44am On Mar 22, 2015
elobyobi:
The painful part of all this is that Chimamanda goes home every night to cook for her husband a wonderful dinner, and he makes sweet love to her thereafter. While other women in third-world Nigeria whose situation she only relates to by proxy, go about assuming they can, and must, stand up to every man they come across. I believe in equality, but I also believe in humility. From both sexes. A balance between contentment and the drive for self-improvement and empowerment. Adichie has achieved this balance in her professional and personal (risky assumption by the way, who knows what goes on in the husband's mind?) life, but keeps delivering a one-sided message to other women. When people say "religion is the opium of the masses" the often forget that religion was birthed and is sustained by literature. And stalwarts of literature have the same powers and responsibilities as people of the cloth - to create balance. That is one thing Chimamanda has failed in.
And woe unto the women that blindly follow this new ideology, this movement, this Chimamandism. One thing remains true: you can't cheat nature.
I'm guessing you live in the same house with her to know that she cooks for.her hubby and they make love later.

What makes you believe she doesn't practice what she goes on about all the time? Are you saying she is a fraud? What gives you the right to even make this sort of conclusion on her behalf?

Chimamanda to me always comes off as an 'I too know', she forms an opinion of something and that's the right thing, anything else is wrong. She is quick to speak without considering what she says might come off as offensive or not entirely truthful or properly researched.

She is a hopeless cynic and proud also, probably because of her achievements, she needs to take care with her approach and most importantly her words and should just stop being a 'know it all' already.

Elnathan might have been wrong but she sort of pushed him to it, I don't care how she explains it here but she had it coming. I read that whole article on her disagreement with the caine's writers prize thingy and could clearly see her pride and cynicism in it's full glory.

Anyway, why do I care sef?

Politics › Re: Survey Tips Buhari To Win March 28 Election- The Sun Newspapers by repogirl(f): 1:05pm On Mar 19, 2015
Lol, Is like that survey was carried out in the north east only.
So what if their flawed survey says Buhari will win? Just because I write £100,000,000 on a piece of paper doesn't automatically put it in my bank account.

Their survey is rubbish, come March 28, we will see the true winner.
Literature › Re: Eothen-Our losses by repogirl(f): 2:19am On Mar 19, 2015
Hmmmm, kizzykeziah, for me, when I write, I write to entertain myself..... if I write a chapter and it doesn't move me to some sort of emotion, it won't move anyone else reading it.

I would advice you to write because you enjoy it, but if you aren't enjoying it anymore ... I guess you have to be on pause then. Reinspire yourself, refuse to let the comments be your inspiration instead focus on the story and characters, read a sappy romance story you have read before or watch a string of clichéd romance movies, whatever works but just find the zeal that got you started in the beginning.

Much easier said than done, I know from experience but bear in mind that you have to finish whatever you have begun. Will be hoping to see you back here soon.
Romance › Re: What Is The Reason Why Girls Ingnore Guys? by repogirl(f): 1:57am On Mar 19, 2015
Cos many guys on social media are either underage, have evil intentions, childish, creepos, weirdos, stalkers, perverts and some others I can't recall at the moment.

The social media has been abused and basterdized by the wrong kind of people and it has made females quite sceptical about it.

When I hit any low point... I look within and speak to myself... I tell myself positive things and motivate myself with the fact that I have nothing to lose if I become stronger and if others have made it... So can I.
I remember a certain someone who recently got quite fed up of his making no headway with his talent and wanted to give up his love because he had even begun to doubt his own self.

Now i wonder, when did he give himself this your peptalk, was it before or after feeling sorry for himself? Was it before or after a few others encouraged him not to give up?

Be real, frank. Everyone needs a support structure, sometimes things get overwhelming for one to bear and one can give up on one's self.

You claim you are your own pillar of strength, well, i know for a fact thats not really true.

Family › Re: I Hit Her, I Regret It But She Deserved It by repogirl(f): 9:34am On Mar 02, 2015
I feel she harboured deep resentment towards you which kept on piling up and she didn't know how to express it, so instead she chose to fight, insult and call you names.

She might have been influenced by her friends' negative advice or maybe she just wasn't happy with her life and with you.

I didn't see you mention that you were married or engaged, being pregnant and having a kid under normal circumstances can be trying to a woman, hormones and all that, now talk more about a woman who has underlying issues in her relationship.

From where you explained her as a low maintenance chick, I am forced to deduce that you might have also taken her for granted. Women who expect little materially expect much more emotionally.

You said you let her take control during sex, what if she wanted more? What if she didn't want to be in control all the time?

I think she couldn't express herself to you and you couldn't understand what was going on with her, but don't think for a second that she deserved the beating she got.

Could you put your hand to your own mother if she had done the same thing? No, you wouldn't have.

Why? Respect!

You might not know it but you took your girl for granted, lost respect in her and she might have sensed this and it probably added to her annoyance and dissatisfaction with you.

Finally, if you indeed believe she deserved the beating you gave her and that you don't know the reasons she left, then its for the best she did because its better to be alone than unhappy with the person one is with.
