Lol!

But seriously, did you see him as a "defender of writers?"
at least that was what he thought he was, maybe I should modify and say 'he perceived himself to be the defender of the unfavored writers' , just glad he's gone.
Literature › Re: About Whitey's Flash Fiction Challenge *comment Thread* by repogirl(f): 1:18pm On Jan 21, 2015
In the end I guess it was worth it to him..... He will be remembered as kaya09, defender of the writers not favored on white mosquito's challenge. He was intelligent and filled with promise but spent most of his intellect in concocting verbal abuse bombshells to which he threw at anyone who he perceived an enemy.

Go in peace kaya09 even though you didn't give us much of it.

Woooow, I'm so happy to hear the concluding part of this story and that it ended on a happy note.

weldone, madam robedu for taking time out to work on blesie, if a few more people can act as selfless as you did, our country would surely be a better place.

There is soooo much to learn in books, these days information to anything is right at one's fingertips thanks to the internet.

People should embrace the culture of reading and educating themselves on issues after all one can perish because of ignorance .... I have also learnt a few lessons from this .... I wish you the best in your union OP.

Chai kaya09, you have girded yourself in battle armor, ready to slay anyone who so much as looks at you in a funny way..... Okay pls sheath your sword, it's enough.

I understand where you are coming from totally, but the choices have been made and insulting everyone will not change anything. Lets just leave it to the next set of judges now, okay?

oya pls drink ice water and cool down ehn? All this name calling, back and forth insults are not a show of strength, but I understand you have been pissed beyond measure, pls calm down, tenk.

Sirchotas, I read through kuzaku's story and it was good, relatable, many of us can relate with it but it didn't conform to the rules of African/traditional/ cultural festivities. Like whitey said, it was more of an urban setting, like your modern day christmas/new year celebration.

I liked it, whitey and I even had private discussions about it but finally it didn't conform to the rules.

Sirchotas, I agree with you, some of the pieces left out were really good, but my job was to select the ones in adherence to the prompt, the next sets of judges can scrutinize the story, plot, setting, grammar and all what not but that wasn't my job.

kay09, the writers I picked were ones that I was convinced stuck quite a bit to the prompt they were given, that's what I was asked to do and that's what I did.

SirChotas:
Attention: repogirl. Please, I do not mean to be rude, but I want to know why kuzaku wasn't in your list of confirmed entrants, even though kuzaku's story was posted by whitemosquito herself on page 1 of The White Mosquito Flash Fiction Challenge ? kuzaku wrote THE CHRISTMAS THAT CHANGED THE NEW YEAR.
I guess it was a mistake on my part, didn't realize I ommitted his name, I should've been notified earlier. Apologies please.

Okay... I only came here because someone said I was awesome, lol!

Now to the serious stuff!

kizzykeziah, good stuff you got here, I can see promise in the story but ehm *clears throat*

First and Foremost, paragraphs, take time out to outline your story in paragraphs, its well worth it in the end.

After writing, go over it a few times, not just for typos but also for the flow. Sometimes some sentences/phrases don't sound right and you have to go over it in your head again and again till it seems fine. Par examplé

A little jealousy on her part and stupidity on Sophia's had escalated beyond their measures and led to this sort of icky grounds they'd found themselves

could sound like this:

Jealousy on her part coupled with Sophia's stupidity had aided in escalating the situation beyond its measures and led to the icky relationship they now shared.

Sounds a bit better, doesn't it?

So go over your work, rephrase and let it sound easy to comprehend.

Good job so far, keep posting, I guess when people have an idea where the story is heading, you'll begin to hear from them.

Dinachi when so many people oppose your views, maybe there is something wrong with it....

thinkingbee, men lose temper and can act irrational sometimes, but when he choses to lay his hand on his wife, that is the greatest disrespect.

As for those saying child abuse and whatnot, a twelve year old is almost a teen ager, most twelve year olds are in JS3. What if she were her own daughter and she asked her to babysit her siblings, would that be abuse also? Beside this was just a temporary arrangement till the return of the nanny why acting like all hell broke loose?

I began taking care of my younger ones at the age of ten, when ever my parents and aunt had to be out, I was left in charge of my two younger ones for a while. Did I die? Abeg people should take it easy while throwing stones, many of you are quilty of these things but you come out here and form saints.

We met at a cafe. I never knew she would mean so much to me. I have no intentions of marrying a Nigerian girl. I became the envy of many people when we arrived. Some even went as far as saying I should have introduced a Nigerian girl to my parents. The truth is, Nigerian girls are nothing to write home about. Majority of them are ex prostitutes. Nobody wants an ex prostitute for a wife. Even my kids won't marry Nigerian girls. The girls could marry a Nigerian man but not a Nigerian girl. Majority of them are hungry and don't have class. Their cooking is awful and fashion sense trash.
guy Nigerian girl thus and that, your mama na Nigerian girl ooo, even your sisters, you don forget? Even your girl pikins, na Nigerian girls Dem go be, abeg no swear for your mama, sisters and pikinses, tenks!
