I know of a 8 day old baby boy who was given paracetamol on the day of circumcision to ease his pains.

I am very sure, paracetamol is usually the last resort. Nurses would advice exposure and bathing first. I have a son and he wasn't given paracetamol during his circumcision. Just ointment and a sitz bath, that was all.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be given but this OP gave it as preventive which is wrong. You should wait to see if the temperature is rising, bath first and expose a bit, I prefer to dry mop with a face towel. If all this fails, which it rarely does, I would then administer paracetamol.

Its not advisable giving a one month old paracetamol, their organs are still too tender to process drugs and you risk damaging their liver.

Your baby may be fine because he is little with underdeveloped bones but since you saw blood somewhere I would advice you see a doctor, just to be double sure that the baby is fine.
